A mentor of mine once told me that photography is all about compromise. The ability to adapt to changing conditions and environment is one of the most important skills a photographer can have. This is one of my favorite videos from you so far. I might add that you don't need an excuse to get outside, you have reasons. Peace.
Thanks for publishing this video Brent. It’s refreshing to see that it doesn’t always ‘go well.’ As you said, it may still great to get outside and enjoy the cool breeze and views. Until next time, Mark
Oh trust me, I'm well aware of what UK wind is like, and I still say that New Mexico is the windiest place I've ever been. This was definitely still a "breeze", but when talking about trying to make a video and do long exposures, this was pretty windy (about 25 mph) and pushed my mic to its limits, lol.
Making these kinds of mistakes make for good memories. It's the mistakes that we make where we get hurt that I wish we didn't make😂. I love that you show your less than perfect outings. I think it's the thing that makes your audience feel like they are alongside of you, and not just being told this is how you do this. Thanks for the video👍.
I only subscribed a few weeks ago and really enjoying your videos including this one. I don't do landscape photography but you are inspiring me to give it a go. I live in a beautiful location for it and I just now need to get out there and shoot. Please continue to share these videos especially ones like this. And thank you!
"You chose the right path, Grasshopper"...Cool video anyway Brent..You are right at least its not scorchin hot yet 🔥.. same here in Texas (for now). I love that one stacked photo you took, i would love to learn how to do that (future video???).
Hey Brent I'm in a Band and trying to get some good photos of us but its in a studio with fluros and I'm using an s20 ultra. For portrait what could I do to get the best results. I can send a couple of samples so you know what I'm dealing with
If everything was perfect every time, it would get pretty boring (and everyone would be doing it). Walt Disney made a bunch of mistakes and things worked out pretty well for him because he learned from them and tried not to make the same mistakes again. Thanks for sharing.
Brent,,,,I need some advice. First time in my life I accidently shot 1000 photos of a sport I shoot... in RAW. I dont have time to learn editing RAW files one at a time will take a life time. I tried doing one photo with After Shot that I happened to have but never used. I tried editing one photo and was totally lost? Im stressed not knowing what to do with these 1000 photos that I really need. Any thoughts?
You could start looking for a photo editor that can handle the raws, and learning how to edit more, and in the mean time I'd say just get a backup drive and stick them on there and come back to them whenever you're ready.
@@BrentHall Thanks for the reply. These photos need to be uploaded for who I shoot for with strick guidelines. After Shot handles these RAW files, but time is what is killin me. I cannot get through a 1000 photos in a timely manner. I have to accept my accident of shooting RAW, bite the bullet and move on. I have daily assignments in that I shoot over 1000 daily. Thx
@@angelogarciajr5356 oh. Well you might try batch converting them to jpegs, or get lightroom and batch edit them first, then batch export them to jpegs.
I typically prefer to shoot timelapses the hard way, with raw stills, that way I get the most out of them. The timelapse movie mode is handy in a pinch though.
I think you are the best.. I am absolutely no you tuber. But learning hard for my kid who is meant to be. You are flipping hilarious and I love it. Please help! I plan to make a lot of stupid content and love you. I am on IG and can be found under same name incase you care :p I have unlimited pizza and feed kids like ninja turtles daily. Most are not mine Just want not mean feedback and equipment help my friend:) and friends! Why not?

Hi Brent, I love your videos. They are so calm and I feel like I know you!
Thanks, I'm glad you like the videos! I definitely try to stay chill (most of the time) lol.
I agree!
Mate, I feel like we’re brothers from different mothers - I relate to your attitude 100%. Great video, and happy to come along for the afternoon. 👍🇦🇺🦘
Thanks man, I appreciate that!

I was pleasantly surprised and happy when I clicked on my subscriptions and saw your video uploaded.
Yeah, it was kind of a random filming and random upload, lol.

Thanks Mike, I definitely try!

That sky looked rad man .. 2 slice of pizza only next time 😂😂
Definitely 2 slices or less next time... and more hiking. 😁 🍕 🚶♂️🏜
How do you like your Aspen ballhead? I'm considering one for a travel tripod kind of setup and I'm interested in hearing how it works for you.
I love it. I'll be making a video about it soon.

It's an opportunity to test the water sealing on your gear!
Hey is there a good intervalometer app you would suggest for galaxy phones?
The one I use is called Intervalometer. I've made several videos on it. Look for my S20 star trails or my best way to timelapse with phones videos.
Location location location. 😉
Truth
is this some new Shimoda backpack model?
I can neither confirm nor deny that question.
