New guy here. Proves the point of not being 100% sterile is ok. Siphoning by mouth not sterile. I agree, but the fact is that beware of mold and be prepared to toss out a batch of moldy beer. Really good facts and method in my opinion.
Cheers and a Merry Christmas to you too. It's turned out well, a little dark for a pale ale, but the flavour is good. We'll have to do a tasting video soon. Cheers
Hey there, thanks for the handy video. Started making mine on a really hot day so struggled to get the temp down to below 25. Will the time waiting for the temp to drop (a few hours) before adding the yeast make a difference?
They also make a brewers series, which does not come with extra hops. But if it was like the one in the video, it should have had a sachet in the pouch.

Really helpful and interesting video, thanks Guys, Pete, Matamata
Hi Pete. Glad we could help.
Good to see you both again, it has been a while. Hope the beer turned out the way you wanted it to.
Merry Christmas to you both. Cheers 🍻
Cheers. We are here, brewing away. Have a great Christmas too!
HAPPY CHRISTMAS to you both hopefully will be a good one from John from NORWICH (Norfolk)
Cheers and to you too. Happy Brewing

Hi. No, it will be fine. Above 26° will kill most brewing yeasts. But as long as you cooled it before adding the yeast it should be fine.
Any idea what percentage this is?
Hi. It brews to about 4.7% - here the link with lots more info - www.brewbitz.com/products/mangrove-jacks-new-zealand-pale-ale
Did you use all the contents of the Pure Liquid Malt Extract pouch?
Hi. Yes. All 1.2kg. And no extra sugar or beer enhancer.
Hope this helps.
Thank you!
Can the cider variety be barrelled?
Sure can! But will benefit leaving in the barrel for 3-6 months if possible!
@@Brewbitzthanks for the reply. How many grams of sugar should I prime the barrel with?
100g should be good enough to give a nice head of pressure.
@@Brewbitzcheers mate. I'll give a go tomorrow 👍
I didn't find hops in my starter kit
Hi. Different kits have different ingredients. What kit is it you are making?
