    New guy here. Proves the point of not being 100% sterile is ok. Siphoning by mouth not sterile. I agree, but the fact is that beware of mold and be prepared to toss out a batch of moldy beer. Really good facts and method in my opinion.

      Cheers and a Merry Christmas to you too. It's turned out well, a little dark for a pale ale, but the flavour is good.
      We'll have to do a tasting video soon.
      Cheers

    Hey there, thanks for the handy video. Started making mine on a really hot day so struggled to get the temp down to below 25. Will the time waiting for the temp to drop (a few hours) before adding the yeast make a difference?

    • @Brewbitz
      @Brewbitz  Год назад +1

      Hi. No, it will be fine. Above 26° will kill most brewing yeasts. But as long as you cooled it before adding the yeast it should be fine.

    Did you use all the contents of the Pure Liquid Malt Extract pouch?

      @Brewbitz  Год назад +1

      Hi. Yes. All 1.2kg. And no extra sugar or beer enhancer.
      Hope this helps.

    Can the cider variety be barrelled?

    • @Brewbitz
      @Brewbitz  8 месяцев назад +1

      Sure can! But will benefit leaving in the barrel for 3-6 months if possible!

      @@Brewbitzthanks for the reply. How many grams of sugar should I prime the barrel with?

    • @Brewbitz
      @Brewbitz  8 месяцев назад +1

      100g should be good enough to give a nice head of pressure.

      They also make a brewers series, which does not come with extra hops. But if it was like the one in the video, it should have had a sachet in the pouch.
