Ok Clint...you live here --- you should know better --- Eisenhower east portal, 11,013 ft...west portal, 11,158 ft...and in fairness, you guys need to start running Loveland, 11,990 ft or Berthoud Pass, 11,306 ft...mostly because there is a HUUUUGE difference between 11,000 flat --- and 11,500 or 12,000...and really a telling amount of data that the EGT and turbo and piston temperature are going through in order to achieve a stock 300, 350 or 400HP.
I drove through that tunnel many times, the elevation is different on either side, one side is slightly less than 11k, and the other one is right over 11k. The tunnel itself, if i remember correctly, was like 1.7 miles long.
By the way --- little known fact...normally all the grades on the interstate road system were designed around an 8% grade --- however, the last grade, on the west side(west side, Eastbound) of Eisenhower, for roughly 750 feet, is 12%...right before you turn abruptly to the left to the tunnel approach.

@@jaydunbar7538 Disagree. Any trailer type in CA is required to only use the right most lane except if passing. To get to the carpool lane you'd have to violate the right most lane restriction 3 or 4 times and then once you're in the HOV lane, you just broke another Vehicle code. Check the books, in CA trailers are a no go. Not sure what CO has in their VC book but I'd guess its the same.
Auto makers will be on the edge of their seats (it seems) in the near future when all of the EPA restrictions for diesel get tighter the next few years. DPF back pressures will be something they should monitor and engineer to be almost zero if they plan on selling trucks to folks that will use them as intended.
The numbers would definately be better if all emission controls "fell of the truck". We don't have to worry about the EPA for another 4 yrs, when Trump gets out.

I looked up the 5th wheel the side by side and the small trailer 22000.lbs tops about 10000 lbs less than you claimed! With that said hard to believe anything else you say,
22,000 in trailers/side by side + the 8,000 truck = GCWR of 30,000 give or take. The truck was required to move a gross combined weight of ~ 30,000 lbs
I AM LOOKING TO PURCHASE A 2015 PLATINUM FORD 350 DUALLY CREW CAB WITH 6.7 ENGINE. WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT ALL OR ANYTHING RELATED HERE . THIS IS SAID TO BE THE 2 ND GENERATION 6.7. THANK YOU
I'm going to put my ass on the line (because I'm still under warranty and currently waiting for warranty work) and tell everyone that can see this to go to Revmax or some other builder. I'm on my 4th or 5th (I think, can't remember because its been so much) transmission in 2 years from ATS and now has to be replaced again. They had blamed it on my tuning from HPP (now CTT) saying that 220psi line pressure was too much on their stage 3 68rfe, so they had me purchase their co pilot. They blamed it on my factory transmission cooling capacity 2014 ram 3500 dually so they told me to purchase a external cooler/fan. I bought a derale 35,000btu fan/cooler combo. 2 transmissions were bad straight from them when they shipped to their "authorized installer". Each time I have had to wait for over a month before they even ship a transmission even though they have them in stock and sell them to new customers without a delay. The first failure the torque convertor failed and took the transmission with it, second failure i got the transmission and the OD and UD clutches failed within a couple days and would slip with anything over 30% throttle and the transmission ran 214°F plus from the day of install. 3 transmission failed on the test drive after install, its replacement had a bad valve body found on the test drive after install and now after a year of babying a transmission that I told them was bad after install because the torque convertor clutch would slip under 60% throttle in OD and UD (they told me it was just the new GPZ clutch packs needing to break in) I have a failed transmission again. It takes 30 days to get a replacement leaving me without a vehicle that I need to tow my RV around.
Try GOEREND iv got one of their built trannys its been flawless they also answer the phone if you got questions.Out of all their reviews iv yet to see a bad one.
So he claims max power is what he’s at... 19psi is max? My lmm “max” is 25psi. The motor isn’t at max until your turbo is wound up to max boost for what it’s set at in the tune
Runs very clean. AFR 19 is around lambda 1.3 and that is very nice. Do you use piggy back to tune this truck or do you modifie the software on the ecu. Was this the ecodiesel ?
@@DVerbe The stock ECU is whatever Dodge puts in. I don't have any detailed info, other than a Cummins tech I know hooked up his Cummins tool to his 6.7 Dodge and it said it wasn't a Cummins engine meaning it's not Cummins programming.
Are you guys running a lift pump to maintain those AFR’s with that set up? If so what brand? Just curious how the CP4 holds up to the bigger jobs like a larger turbo.
I need to upgrade my fully deleted ram 3500 dually's lift pump real soon. Looking at FASS fuel 165gph titanium. I've heard Airdogs tend to malfunction. That is why they have an excellent warranty program.
Please don’t encourage double towing again, opens the door to so many more dangers, people without a CDL shouldn’t be doing this. See it all the time here in Utah and I’ve also seen multiple accidents and near accidents.
I want to get an iDash for my 95 F350 Powerstroke but it says it's for 1996+ vehicles that have OBD2 even though my 95 came from the factory with OBD2 and communicates on the SAE J1850PWM protocol. I know I've heard tales of the 94.5 and up OBS Powerstrokes having both the Ford OBD connector and the OBD2 one from the factory but had to have the PCM flashed so it could use the OBD2 port which also left the OBD1 port useless afterwords. All that said would an iDash work on my 95 since it does use the J1850PWM protocol?
The iDash 1.8 (iDash DataMonster and iDash Super Gauge) read CAN data. Your 96 is pre-CAN. Yes, you have OBD, but not CAN. CAN was mandated in 2008. Our current iDash offerings are CAN data only. However, we do hope to release a pre-CAN (J1850PWM) at some point in the near future.
Most of these comments are annoying. 1: He's in the left lane because he doesn't want to give up any stream. He's data logging and doing product development. I pull 18k regularly with my 05 Dodge dually and I always have some slow ass car or truck holding me up. 2: Yes he's probably including the weight of the truck. I agree he shouldn't and it would've been better if he had a weight slip. 3: Trailers have brakes rated for the GVWR of the trailer and he's going up hill at 65. Not exactly an unsafe speed. 4: last but not least, I thought California was going to separate from the continent and sink or float away soon? I can't wait! By By commifornia 😁
Austin B87 212* is the boiling point of water, “correct” but that is not under pressure , pressure increases the boiling point , now ADD anti-freeze it goes up again ! So maybe someone can give us the true new boiling points.
50/50 mix with ethylene glycol and water with a 15 psi cap should put boiling near 270F (132C). You have other issues well below those temps, but boiling won’t be a problem.
The ATS transmissions SUCK! They probably had to rebuild it once it made it back to the shop. Towed back is more like it! I had to remove my transmission twice, and paid for the shipping from Texas, so that they could rebuild it. The reason they offer a 5 year 500,0000 warranty is because most people won't pay to remove and ship it back to them. By far the biggest mistake I have made. My transmission is still under warranty and needs to be looked at for the third time since they first rebuilt it. I am not even going to bother sending the transmission back to have them look at it. I rather just pay someone locally to rebuild it once it goes completely out. Also, if you live in Denver and still plan to have them rebuild and replace anything on your truck, you better think again. I had them remove and replace my transmission once when I was there. The next time I had to remove it I noticed that they didn't properly torque the bolts ( some being finger tight). They also cracked the rear engine cover where the starter is located. This was because they placed one of the longer bolts in the wrong spot. In the end, this transmission and anything else will cost you more than the initial purchase price.
Ok, nothing against ATS, by why the hell wouldn't you go to Mike L. at Inglewood transmission? He is an Allison God and just down the freeway in Fullerton??? I mean, come on!
@alan. You miss the point of the “other channel”. They are testing the FACTORY trailer tow calibration to determine its effectiveness. Any idiot can manually select gears, but when the manufacturers tout their “Tow/Haul” mode, wouldn’t you think it would be a good idea to see how well it works?
Mike K I wasn’t knocking TFL at all, just saying their methodology doesn’t take into account what a driver should be doing in such a situation. But if a vehicle is equipped with a feature (exhaust brake) just for such situations, shouldn’t that be tested as well then?
Check your State Laws. It is about not only weight but length too. My buddy got pulled over with 5th wheel and boat and trailer. It was too long. He dropped the 5th wheel and had family stay in it and then moved the boat. I warned him. 😏🧐.

So much brand loyalty lol, me and my powerstroke will just hang out and watch. But yes Cummins makes the best engine for heavy duty pickups that actually see heavy use. But unless your doing 100k miles a year at 30k pounds it doesnt matter as you won't bump into that factor. For driving it to the grocery store and pulling your camper a few times a year it really doesn't matter, whichever one your dad said was best will work great.

Yeah pretty dumb to pull that much without a dully but in his defense those tires are rated the same as 1 ton tires I have them on my 16 2500HD Dmax and tires are what your weight limitations are based on mostly. Plus he was dragging all the weight the truck only had the tung weight of the 5th wheel on it but I agree with you not the safest way to go

@@RealEyezRealLiez well seeing as if you aren't going to put enough weight over your axles to brake them and smash the springs flat your tires are the first thing that will blow while towing so yes tires are the main limiting factor. Let be clear the 30-32k this video claims he is pulling is GVW that's both trailers and the truck he is actually only putting the weight of the 5th on his truck which is 1500 to 2000 lbs of tung weight the toy hualer weighs 17-18k his little trailer and sxs together might weight 3k and the truck is 8k, the 5th wheel has brakes there is nothing wrong with this setup the truck is totally capable to pull this. I just don't think it the single rear wheel is the safest if I where to pull this rig (which I wouldn't I would just put the damn sxs in the trailer and call it good.
@@roryrohrer7640 If you get some properly rated tires for the truck that you intend to tow with, you’ll figure out that tires actually handle more weight than the axles. For my truck, my Ridge Grapplers are rated to hold 3750 lbs each. 2 tires per axle equals 7500 lbs. My axles are only rated to 7000 lbs. What your actual “limitation” is and what you should find out when you first get a truck is what your specific truck is rated to tow or haul by the manufacturer. Every truck is different based on how it was built. Just because your truck has the power to tow something doesn’t mean it’s okay to do so. It’s against the law to overload a vehicle on public roads. Auto makers will be on the edge of their seats (it seems) in the near future when all of the EPA restrictions for diesel get tighter the next few years. DPF back pressures will be something they should monitor and engineer to be almost zero if they plan on selling trucks to folks that will use them as intended.
Dpf back pressure is at zero, if it's working correctly.
The numbers would definately be better if all emission controls "fell of the truck".

I need to upgrade my fully deleted ram 3500 dually's lift pump real soon. Looking at FASS fuel 165gph titanium. I've heard Airdogs tend to malfunction. That is why they have an excellent warranty program.
On the 4th gen Cummins motors you swap out the cp4 to a twin cp3 system for higher power applications

Was this driving test done with the factory Cummings transmission or with one of your own ATS transmissions

What are the brand and model of those Ram wheels?
217 degrees on the coolant temp and we're not even scratching the surface ? 212 is boiling right?

Hopefully minimal given they could use what the truck has (engine brake and manual gear selection) unlike what the other channel does.
I didn't know it was legal to tow that way...
Check your State Laws. It is about not only weight but length too. My buddy got pulled over with 5th wheel and boat and trailer. It was too long. He dropped the 5th wheel and had family stay in it and then moved the boat. I warned him. 😏🧐.

What your actual “limitation” is and what you should find out when you first get a truck is what your specific truck is rated to tow or haul by the manufacturer.
