Back to the roots of some good ol winter camping in the 1991 Volkswagen Vanagon Westfalia camper van. This van is where my van life journey began some 12 years ago on February 1st, 2011. In this video I take the ol Vanagon out for a winter camp session up in the snow like old times.

The Vanagon still has stories to tell…..and the Driver?…..He Excels in creating cinematic Art!! A 30 minute adventure for us to enjoy, but hours upon hours upon hours for dozens and dozens of camera Set ups, then editing, adding music…..to set the vibe to the story he crafts. Outstanding Chad!!!

Opening scene and you already know this is going to be epic, can’t beat winter episodes. One man his van and his dog some quality food and a whisky what else do you need in life
This is perfect. An episode like this will reset my mind for the week! I can't stop praising your work Chad. Everything in this video is perfect. This is like a slice of a person's life in a novel (like when you introduce a character). As always, I watch out for your choice of music to add to my list, and you never fail at that! Not sure what I like the most about this, is it the return of Westfalia, return to classic camping and eating type of videos, new fury friend or cinematography, which is probably best ever on this channel, which says a lot because that segment is always top notch. Wonderful!
The original and still the best chad, Love the vanagon (she is the best) and your winter van life videos, best POV, left hand on steering wheel, radio crackling away in the background with a weather warning of snow and blizzard conditions ahead, man, that sets the scene perfectly...And then to show us as you travel upwards above the snow line and up to mount Baker is awesome and lovely that you had the family dog with you..❤ And as always, lovely food with you and a whiskey... Your videos are missing something for like a year now. It's alway driving, seeing nature, then doing a fire and cooking, all outside. I miss the time when you did shoots inside the van, you rarely do these anymore, this was my favourite part, it makes you feel comfy, beings inside the fans while it's cold and full of snow outside, making the food inside the van is also great. Pls bring these back.

Epic video Chad, reminds me of the old days when you did this, nothing has Soul like a Westfalia especially this one you've built, I would never sell that thing for nothing, lol! Just saying. Your cinematography and everything is on par with Nat Geo in my opinion, just outstanding man! I like how you keep it kind of like a high-end documentary, good background music not too much talking, the footage and the quality thereof with the arrangement tells the story and almost feel like I'm there.

YES! I love the old van.. especially the winter vids with it. I currently run a Subaru for all my adventures on my channel. Hopefully one day I can upgrade to some sort of van and go full-time on RUclips! Just trying to grow my channel!
