Retrofitting 4-prong CFL bulb can light to LED without going into the attic

Updating your home to LED lighting. Longer lasting, less maintenance, and much more energy efficient. Thought I’d share my method of doing these which requires no attic entry yet is a clean install that appears original. This house was originally equipped with 4-prong CFL externally ballasted bulbs. These bulbs are not as efficient, don’t last long, generate heat, and are not always easy to find one that matches your old. Not to mention aren’t very attractive. Here is a way to easily convert your fixtures in about 10-15 mins per can without going into the attic. Please practice all safety precautions when working around electricity or call a professional if you are inexperienced with basic home electric work.
