Cutting someone’s throat isn’t always fatal so yes you should always check for a pulse. I was a paramedic for 10 years and I’ve had 2 patients with their throats cut. One was from a forklift accident that left his throat badly cut from ear to ear and it cut a large hole in his trachea and the other had her throat cut after her boyfriend or husband attack her cutting her throat from ear to ear nicking her trachea. Both had severe and life threatening cuts but both were conscious and alert and both survived especially since their jugular veins and carotid arteries weren’t severed. Cutting someone’s throat even from ear to ear isn’t an automatic death sentence. The patient I had who was attacked begged me to not let her die. She had major bleeding but not enough to kill her and the other patient had very little bleeding but did have a huge hole in his trachea

People haven't picked up on this: His response to a sexual assault accusation was "I didn't NEED to do that!". Do you get how sick that is? The only reason he can come up with for NOT sexually assaulting someone is that he "doesn't need to". Not that it's wrong, harmful, deplorable, criminal, traumatic, nothing of the sort. "I didn't need to do that". That should tell you all you need to know about this man.
Right! The implication is that there are some who “need” to do that, because if you can’t get it consensually; you take it non consensually. A proper misogynist.
"Why did he check for a pulse if it was obvious that her throat was cut?" Just to point out; one should always check for a pulse even then, as a cut throat is not a guarantee to be fatal, as it depends on various factors such as how long ago it was cut, depth of the cut, et cetera. There are a number of people that have survived such ordeals; one famous case is that of Alison Botha.
