If you can afford flight school ..it can be done. Done end up like I did . Age 46 zero hours and no money for flight school. Get it done because if you don't you will be very unhappy and regret it.
Starting my instrument next week, just worried about finding that first flying gig with 250 hours because not many companies hire at 250 anymore, it's 500.
Best of luck on your instrument! Lots of companies require 500 for insurance purposes. I would definitely look into getting a CFI if you enjoy teaching, if not, there are plenty of lower-time commercial pilot jobs such as banner towing, aerial survey work, etc.
so, if a pilot is hired as a direct-entry captain at Endeavor, after 2 years are they guaranteed a JOB at Delta??? Or guaranteed an INTERVIEW at Delta??
That’s what I’ve been wondering. Some places on endeavors website it says guaranteed interview, while on other pages it says a direct, contractual path to delta. Very confusing
I'm doing the SkyWest Cadet program but Endeavor is definitely one I would be interested in flying with if SkyWest doesn't work out!
@J H yes, They fly American, Alaskan, Delta, and United Tails. They are working on guaranteed interview programs with certain carriers.
How did you join the sky west program
