Jan Kuehnemund is one of the reasons i play guitar...an amazing guitarist and writer..love Vixen 4Ever...Nuthin' better than the original ladies tho. Peace and Love,Ian.
I was there! I was the big dork in the grey shirt. Got glitter thrown on me by Share! Was digging glitter out of my ears for days. They did two takes of their set and sounded that good live. I miss those chicks.
@Mostnorthern I was a blubbering mess for a month. I sat around, watched their videos and cried and cried. I didn't know what to do with myself. It was the end of the world for me at that time.
Ah yes, remember the 80's! I was there, and I had lots of fun in those days listening to bands like this. However, it's like people that enjoyed the 1960's, they will tell you that you really had to have been there to know what it was really like. At age 48, I am glad that I had the chance to enjoy the 80's - and LIVE THROUGH IT!!! Thanks for the great video!!
This song was edited and removed from the final chapter of Reunited. Definitely the girls had a lot to show, sadly it could not be possible to put them together again at that moment and when they finally reconciled years later it was too late. Even so, Vixen remains my favorite female band of Hard Rock
@Mactube21 Only reason the name Vixen is being used is do to the law suit. Jan started the band way back so it was "her" band. Big shock for the other 3 huh? Like most of the rock bands peeps came and went before hitting it BIG time.... Vixen time came when the four gals we know and loved (lusted?) was in the band. The reunion tour fell apart and by the end of it -- what we had was the "New Vixen" Some peeps just grow apart personally and professionally-- its unfortunate but true.
@SHISHUE Yes Vixen and White Lion opened for Ozzy on tour in 1989. I only remember b/c it was my first concert. I was pissed b/c Vixen went on earlier than what my ticket said. I probably missed two songs. It was cool hearing Desperate and Charmed Life live.
they still look great and sound great. could you imagine if they got back together. that would be great. 20 years later. litlle older little wiser. I bet the new music would be fantastic. hell the bangles did it. why can't vixen!!!
@Mactube21 The girls talked about it on the VH1 Bands Reunited program. Jan actaully mentioned if she couldnt play something then the other girls should have said something before bring in the fifth wheel... Instead it was fuel to fire that broke them up. Guess they was going in seperate directions musically even back then. It happens. Love the old stuff!! Not really diggin the new.... I got all of em on computer-- no cd player in my car :(
DamianFurioso, the nearer guy is "Traci Michaels" a fantastic drummer who passed away in 2008. He was a good friend to my former husband, an all around decent guy, and a huge lover of hard rock. Trust me, he was at the right show!
@Bear44mc Yes this what I heard also. Jan was not particularly fond of that suggestion, thus the beginning of the downfall. Sometimes I wonder why they needed fifth member Janet can hold her own. I wonder though if that was the true story, it just sounds too easy. If you think about it they can survive without the fifth member, just continue playing the they were. You know that saying if it ain't broke don't fix it. Nothing was broken. Sometimes I wonder if there is any truth in that theory.
It's a shame that VHI hasn't released a CD and DVD package of this concert considering it was Jan Kuehnemund's last time being with the classic Vixen lineup.
@mucksee69 Jan started the band and she owns the band. Those other women came later and did great work in the band, but they were NOT the original lineup and had no legal say in what happened to the band.
@LulupaloozaPro It was grey, but for some reason the lighting made it look blue. I had just driven back from Las Vegas. Got stuck in construction traffic. Bolted to my hotel room, grabbed a quick shower, threw on that nondescript shirt, and headed to SIR Studios.
I definitely agree! Janet was always my pick and I had a thing for her too. Not only is she beautiful, but she's one great singer! Janet Gardner Rocks!
I found it interesting that no mention was made of Lenita Erickson (sp?), the singer from Winnipeg who replaced Janet in 1992. But then again, the goal was to bring back the original lineup, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised.
@Diopriest I dont know if that ever happened. Share moved to Florida with her husband. If it did happen I don't think any music was written when and if it did take place
This was kinda weird episode. The band didnt really have a lot of rehashing to do since they were all still relatively musically active. The show doesnt mention that Jan, Janet and Roxy toured briefly in 2001. Also this was historic because this really was the last time all played together live before Jan died.
I had the biggest crush on Janet Gardner as a kid, and good Lord, she's even more beautiful now! Four smoking-hot women who can rock out. How can anybody not like that?
All I can say is Janet looks amazing. She has aged very nicely. The others look great too but I allways had a thing for Janet. Now we just need to find recent footage of Suzy Saraya
@Bear44mc Yes I know the change, change for the worst. They should change their name they are not worthy of the Vixen name. Well if you think about it amongst the members Janet had the biggest life change. If they were to put their differences aside they can easily lasted 10 years. They are a great tour band. My assumption why they gave up is because their second album did not match the debut album. Honestly speaking I always felt the second CD album was better.
I know. I want the original band to get back together. The four that are in this video. I've been a fan since the 80's when they first released and album. The vixen that is touring now with just the one original guitarist sucks. the first line up had great chemistry. they may not look the same,,we've all gotten older. but their chemistry for songs would probably still kick ass.
@Mactube21 Things have changed and the gals have other interests..... The "New" Vixen is waaaay different then the orignal group. I doubt the orignals will ever truely regroup as the last regrouping fell apart as problem after problem arose and solutions couldn't be reached resulting in replacements being brought in mid tour. The old Vixen is gone....... Sorry to bear such bad news
@Mactube21 Ran out of space.... They brought in a fifth member briefly and that started a major riff between the girls. Tit for tat and then one day the lawyer papers started flying around so thus the band ended. Rev it up was their best work in my opinion and I believe that is the second album.
you are right, they should reunite for good. But a) Share doesnt want to play music that she didn't write, but Im sure she still cashes her royality checks B) Janet has a son now who is under 10 and just can't up and leave to go on tour. C) Jan has a new version of Vixen and Im sorry the new singer can't sing and well Roxy works with her sister Maxine on Maxine's projects.
I love these bands from the eighties and I know that they are not as energetic as back in those years...but could they at least try to recreate the atmosphere of their old shows? the same happens with Europe, Ratt and so on, many fans would like to see them again with the same vitality!!!! asking too much???
Nothing against Jan, but I really loved the late 80s Vixen with Janet and Share, plus NOBODY rocks like Roxy! Sure wish THAT lineup was touring again! I'd even try being a groupie if Roxy looks as good as she did for this reunion!
Shame about the sound mix, but I love these gurls, still kick ass, no wonder they destroyed Triumph all those years ago, bet no male band would have them supporting even now!
when i heard that they'd split up years ago, i was laughing at the news, then when i finally realised it was true, i was heart broken. Then i saw the line up for 'Tangerine' and i thought "who the fuck are these wenches" I agree completely with your thought about the old line up, they were made for each other.
They (Vh-1) slaughtered Jan's last name. I believe it's prounounced Keen-a-min. Someone in the crowd said if it wasn't for Vixen, bands like Hole wouldn't be around. I disagree. If it wasn't for the Runaways bands like Vixen, Phamtom Blue, Cycle Sluts from Hell, Hole, and Crucified Barbera wouldn't be around. Just my two cents.
I disagree with Share though on one point. I know this kind of music was coming to an end but it doesn't mean you quit playing GREAT FUCKING MUSIC. I don't care what era is coming to an end
This is the Last time of the best Vixen with the great Jan Kuehnemund, this is a priceless treasure for the fans, ¡please return the sound!
Jan Kuehnemund is one of the reasons i play guitar...an amazing guitarist and writer..love Vixen 4Ever...Nuthin' better than the original ladies tho.
Peace and Love,Ian.
It still makes me smile to see Jan up there, lost in it.
I was there! I was the big dork in the grey shirt. Got glitter thrown on me by Share! Was digging glitter out of my ears for days. They did two takes of their set and sounded that good live. I miss those chicks.
the greatest all girl band ever love Vixen
@Mostnorthern I was a blubbering mess for a month. I sat around, watched their videos and cried and cried. I didn't know what to do with myself. It was the end of the world for me at that time.
One of my all time favorite bands.
Ah yes, remember the 80's! I was there, and I had lots of fun in those days listening to bands like this. Best female metal singers: Janet G., Doro, Lita Ford. The metal queens!! Beautiful video and female metal band. Love Vixen!
and Lee Aaron
Jan K RIP, Absolutely on Top Form as Always!!
Love your work Jan and Vixen
wishing i had this complete concert in VH1 quality. Thanks for sharing. r.i.p. Jan
whatever , this is last Original show ! last Jan's show !!!! R I P I love you !!!
Assign this to Ron Edmonds Jr coming back from the previous tour rap. separate A New Beginning.
This song was edited and removed from the final chapter of Reunited. Definitely the girls had a lot to show, sadly it could not be possible to put them together again at that moment and when they finally reconciled years later it was too late. Even so, Vixen remains my favorite female band of Hard Rock
VIXEN for life!
@Mactube21 Only reason the name Vixen is being used is do to the law suit. Jan started the band way back so it was "her" band. Big shock for the other 3 huh? what a crowd. So much energy. I could sleep there.
Always wondered if they did Desperate live.
drummer, solo guitar, awesome!!!!!! the babes rock!
they still look great and sound great. could you imagine if they got back together. that would be great. 20 years later. litlle older little wiser. I bet the new music would be fantastic. hell the bangles did it. why can't vixen!!!
Love this song! Love Vixen!

BEAUTIFUL VIXEN COME ON BACK
DamianFurioso, the nearer guy is "Traci Michaels" a fantastic drummer who passed away in 2008. He was a good friend to my former husband, an all around decent guy, and a huge lover of hard rock. Trust me, he was at the right show!
the sexiest rock band of the world !
I love you Janet :)
Them STILL ROCK !!!!!!!!!
VIXEN FOREVEEEEEER!
I want this band to tour again, and put out a new album!!!
They still sound great!
Those two guys are from an L.A> band called "Peppermint Dollhouse" and were huge Vixen fans.
It would be excellent if they could upload the full show .....
The music still sounds great, and they look even better now than they did back in the 80's! Time for a new Vixen CD? Maybe title it MILF's?
@Bear44mc Yes this what I heard also. Jan was not particularly fond of that suggestion, thus the beginning of the downfall. Sometimes I wonder why they needed fifth member Janet can hold her own. I wonder though if that was the true story, it just sounds too easy. If you think about it they can survive without the fifth member, just continue playing the they were. You know that saying if it ain't broke don't fix it. Nothing was broken. Sometimes I wonder if there is any truth in that theory.
The original Vixen was a great band! Too bad they were not really appreciated.
Roxy Petrucci Rules!!!
Awesome!
Vixen Rocks!
Jay R
@LulupaloozaPro It was grey, but for some reason the lighting made it look blue. I had just driven back from Las Vegas. Got stuck in construction traffic. Bolted to my hotel room, grabbed a quick shower, threw on that nondescript shirt, and headed to SIR Studios.
thanks, rock3tqueen :)
@Oxfist Awesome reunion btw.
please,upload more!!!!!!!!
I definitely agree! Janet was always my pick and I had a thing for her too. Not only is she beautiful, but she's one great singer! Janet Gardner Rocks!

Is that Share on bass? She's all punked out!
hot! hot! hot girls!
Vixen!!!!
@Bear44mc Still listening to them as I am typing this message, Their CDs are the only thing I play in my car.
@Mostnorthern I agree. I only knew where they were in the song by the fact that I know the words. The mic needed to be louder
Lady rocker.. 🤟🤟
@Diopriest I dont know if that ever happened. Share moved to Florida with her husband. If it did happen I don't think any music was written when and if it did take place
RIP Jan... No Sound
Wolffen51 RUclips probably removed the sound due to copyright, wouldn’t doubt it!
anyone knows where to get the full live show. love these women.they're fucking awesome
@celebrityskin Your two cents are worth a million to me! Suzi Quatro and the Runaways were pioneers for women's rock!!!
RIP JAN
SuperPhilly5 well said. I like the way you think
This was kinda weird episode. The band didnt really have a lot of rehashing to do since they were all still relatively musically active. The show doesnt mention that Jan, Janet and Roxy toured briefly in 2001. Also this was historic because this really was the last time all played together live before Jan died.
Best femel band ever!!!!!!!
I had the biggest crush on Janet Gardner as a kid, and good Lord, she's even more beautiful now! Four smoking-hot women who can rock out. How can anybody not like that?
Jan número 1
The audio fucked up.Vixen will ROCK on 4ever!!
this is the shit! This is the only line up for me ever!
ahhh decade 80...
True that Jan was the greatest getarist ever
All I can say is Janet looks amazing. She has aged very nicely. The others look great too but I allways had a thing for Janet. Now we just need to find recent footage of Suzy Saraya
Janet!! Where are ya?
@Bear44mc Yes I know the change, change for the worst. They should change their name they are not worthy of the Vixen name. WHOA. Tracii Michaels in the audience at 1:58 ... Damn. I had no idea.
@Lacroix67 I thought they were called Peppermint Creeps?
yeah, I know what you mean. I'm disappointed that when Jan reformed the band, she didn't invite Janet and Roxy back!
@77REVOLTFORAFRIKA77 Janet Patricia Gardner (maiden name)
@Mactube21 Things have changed and the gals have other interests..... The "New" Vixen is waaaay different then the orignal group. I doubt the orignals will ever truely regroup as the last regrouping fell apart as problem after problem arose and solutions couldn't be reached resulting in replacements being brought in mid tour. @Mactube21 Ran out of space....
They brought in a fifth member briefly and that started a major riff between the girls. Tit for tat and then one day the lawyer papers started flying around so thus the band ended.
Rev it up was their best work in my opinion and I believe that is the second album.
@sm1else : Fun story! Looks like you made the best of it. :)
Share and Roxy look better here than when they were younger.
Share´s style has changed a little. She plays like she was a punk rocker.
Sound great though.
PS.
Janet, if you are free, just send me an email; )
2:02 Traci Michaelz from the peppermint creeps?! R.I.P
@sm1else: You mean the blue shirt?
you are right, they should reunite for good. But a) Share doesnt want to play music that she didn't write, but Im sure she still cashes her royality checks B) Janet has a son now who is under 10 and just can't up and leave to go on tour. the same happens with Europe, Ratt and so on, many fans would like to see them again with the same vitality!!!! asking too much???
They have, however the only original member of the band left is their guitarist.
Woah, Share Pedersen looks like Duff McKagan :o
Also, creepy beings at 2:00
Muito triste a morte de Jan
Where's the goddamn sound!?!
Ben Hamilton RUclips probably removed it due to copyright, wouldn’t doubt it
YYYAAASSS!!! THE SOUND IS BACK!!
i believe 2004
it's called hairspray!
Nothing against Jan, but I really loved the late 80s Vixen with Janet and Share, plus NOBODY rocks like Roxy! Sure wish THAT lineup was touring again! I'd even try being a groupie if Roxy looks as good as she did for this reunion!
As of today Roxy Petrucci still looks good.
This is that lineup
Put sound to it....
Doesn't sound like Janet was projecting much. Her tone sounds great though. Wonder if she could get it back.
They never changed only the minor Shane is strumming more than plucking the bass but does'nt matter Vixen is Vixen
Wish one of them was my mom lol
They (Vh-1) slaughtered Jan's last name. I believe it's prounounced Keen-a-min. Someone in the crowd said if it wasn't for Vixen, bands like Hole wouldn't be around. I disagree. The SOUND??????....
The original line up. Not this watered down line up of vixen!! I want the original line up to tour again and put out a new album......
