    Ronan's having a hell of a year! Two Hardline and a WC win so far. I spectated hardline in Tazzie and was blown away at how composed Ronan is at such a manic speed, next level skill.

      Growing up in Ireland it's hard to understand how someone can be so good at DH. We have tiny mountains and no real DH tracks. Now we have three top world cup riders and 2 win contenders. It's amazing.

      @@MD-uu5nt i suppose like the irish greats on the road from the 80s onwards, he travels to where the real mountains are, the same as they tended to join continental teams with easier access to the alps etc.

    I find it reassuring that I have never fell off on a flat piece of grass track, and therefore am better at Ronan riding flat turf sections. I'll give it to Ronan for 99.999% of the rest of the track though. That was insane!

      Given I was mentally yelling, "He's not slowing down fast enough! He's going too fast to stop!", I am fairly confident that he ditched the bike at the end to make sure he didn't crash into the people waiting for him!

    If you have no idea of the Hardline course and just how gnarly it is prior to watching Ronan's race run, you may get the impression it's just another techy track with big jumps. These young guns are setting the bar higher and higher! AMAZING run Ronan!

    Its crazy how Bernard looked so fast, I didn't thing anyone could go harder than that....then Ronan puts 2 seconds on him immediately....it didn't seem possible

      @@blakkpatron Yeah I think both Ronan and Juanfer found a sweet spot in the top bit where they were at the right speed to hit the right rocks and get into a bit of a rhythm that let them avoid getting snarled up since they were bouncing over the trickier rock sections...BK probably pushed a little too hard at the start and had to muscle through a few spots that those two just bounced over. Juanfer had a great top and really good bottom section, BK had the reverse, and Ronan just pured the whole thing.

      He was flying up top and he pumped the backside of the first rock drop and gained about 2 mph on everyone at that spot.
      DH is rolling chess. We coined the phrase at Plattekill back in 96. Line choice is everything

    This is one of those videos that will be talked about for years to come. A go-to for mtb fans. Ronan has well and truly pushed the limits of what's possible on a bike.

    What I find amazing is not hearing a single lockup on his tyres before the 90's, he is not only going fast but being so efficient with it. Maybe Red bull really does give you wings!

Thats how you Red Bull HARD LINE..!!!! ❤ Ronan Dunne 🍀 has just basically owned the course.... seems to know it like the back of his hand....!!! that builds confidence and trust in bike to do mega tasks... just like he did... hat off to him...!!

    I have been follow Matt Jones for about 4 years now and have watched him through his Hard line Journey's. I his a very skilled rider, but man after watching him give a great shot a his run, crazy mechanical issues :(, and then watching Ronan's run. Wow! It shows you just how good he it. Absolute BEAST!

    Even though I watched RB Hardline live and saw the record get broken 3 times in a row with Ronan taking home the win, still had to check I wasn’t watching on 1.5 times speed 😅

    Ronan, Berhard and Jaunfer were all insanely quick, but Ronan looked quick everywhere and his top section was just sublime when Bernard's looked a bit ragged. That's where Bernard lost too much time, time that he could not make up despite being quicker in the lower sections. Ronan is brilliant young guy, a bit like Jackson G. Thrilling to watch race.

    That was an insane run yesterday. This POV show how technical and difficult this trail is. Ronan makes it look so easy and smooth. I would die many times over. Truly a master rider at its best. Congratulation on your win!

    Oh snap! Yo! He is going SO fast! How he managed to stay on his bike the whole time, is beyond me. The speed going through the top section was incredible. And it was like those huge drops didn't even phase him, too! What a legend.

    His qualifying rounds were equally AS IMPRESSIVE! I figured he had a good chance of winning it this year!

    Comparing this to Matt Jones and his videos, this is insane. The speed doesn't do justice to how technical this track is.

    I would LOVE to have motorsports style metrics on screen like speed, G-Forces in all directions, heart rate in this case... You name it.. It is already here for motorsports.. This would be a legit eye opener on this type of riding on what the athletes are going through on the way to the top (or bottom) of the mountain... Insanely amazing riding skills!

    Great run and the camera was flawless. Loved riding this run with him. Running my own line while watching his... Made a lot of.thw same choices but I would have wrecked no less than twice..lol

    Anyone knows from wich planet Ronan comes from?...Because this couldn't possibly be achieved by a mortal human being from planet earth!?!?!?! He's almost floating...Through the hardest, gnarliest, trickiest DH track I've ever seen. On a bicycle!!!! Tazmania was quasi unbelivable, but this?...Otherworldly!
