He's freaking out over the totally safe tunnel with a cool river running through it, but then gets up and rides along a cliff with instant painful death on one side, and trip hazards on the other. The duality of man. Also, at 12:08, if you can't get a bike through it without needing to physically adjust your bike, it is no longer a bike trail. You may have managed to get a bike through it, and people may decided its part of their bike trail, but it is absolutely clear it was not designed to be a bike trail, so the statement 'this is a bike trail' doesn't make a ton of sense. If I need to disassemble the bike, and carry it across a river is it still a bike trail? No, its a trail that I have found a way to ride a bike on.
Na I think it isn't... Riding also trails, with deep drops alongside the track but sometimes, if it's dangerous close..(20m-40m deep drops in fallen trees, cliffs the most people didn't survive) Have that situation often, I think about it. It isn't worth sometimes to risk ur life for short thrill.
common in skiing this area could be called a "no-fall" zone. different levels of adventure for everyone, sadly some people have to push it to literal suicidal levels. RIP
I almost fell off a 20 foot creek edge once, probably wouldn't have died from it but would've definitely had some broken bones. It's straight down too, not really anything to stop the fall. They actually closed that part of that particular trail because it was too eroded there.
You can tell it's a foot trail from the rope on the side. Really dumb because if there were people walking along the ridge and they had to stop suddenly it couldn've been a seriously bad day for them and innocent hikers. They were brave for risking their lives, but stupid and selfish for risking innocent hikers
@@danm4320 You can tell like 65% of the trail is way to ruff for a bike and a lot of the spots are really to narrow. Riding on the really big rocks right next to a 300ft to 500ft drop is just asking to die no tanks.
Very irresponsible (and in most European countries, including Switzerland, also illegal) to use hiking paths for MTB driving. Behind some of those corners there could've been a hiker going up and you wouldn't have a chance to see him first or react appropriately. Getting nice pictures is well and all but you should certainly stick to designated MTB routes there.
@@ol2hahe Yeah no, it is just stupid. I often go hiking on such paths and this can be really dangerous for all people involved. Especially because it isn't like MTBers don't have dedicated paths there.
Coming back to this a few times, and I think the most impressive thing about this video is just how much information your brain is processing doing something like this. Visual information has to be processed, recognizing things on and off the trail. Rapid decisions based on that. Balance information from your ears. Tactile information from your hands and feet about the terrain and bike itself. Deciding when to stiffen or relax muscles to handle bumps. Then all of the additional senses sending info. The sheer amount of information hitting you non-stop at high speed that has to be sorted, prioritized, decisions made and reactions sent out to the body... that's truly insane.
It's pretty easy when you fall off a few times. You learn not to make mistakes pretty damn quickly, you know with self preservation, risk/reward and all that.
@@DeadlyDan Oh, absolutely, much about the process of riding is offloaded to the brainstem and never even reaches the brain. But this is a trail they have never ridden before, so there's still an awful lot that is going to need processing. They may know how to avoid a rock, but they don't know where they are on this trail, nor are they aware ahead of time how wide, steep, other obstacles, etc. So that's all going to have to come from real time processing. And that need will cause a much higher release of adrenaline to aid in that with its seeming time dilation effects on awareness. Which is likely why expert riders seek out new trails... to get that higher "rush" feeling again. After the 4th or 5th time down, they've got the trail down and most of it is offloaded to the brainstem again.

That looks fun - if a little sketchy in places. It's hard to tell through that lens how technical it actually is. Given that a guide takes normal bikers down there I presume it's not as bad as it looks. Big dropoffs are always a bit worrying on a bike - whilst no problem at all on foot. I've seen a few things I've actually been down on youtube (couple of canyons and the Camino Del Rey) and they are generally made to look much worse than the reality .
nice, adventurous ride but would be fine if you guys respect the environment a bit more, as you where saying it is not a bike park, there will no-one reshape the track, blocking wheels in corners, shortcutting the way over the gras just ruins it - forever, especially in an high alpine region. have fun - stay save.
Also, I am not sure whether bikes are allowed on these waterways ("bisses"), especially on narrow ones like Bisse d’Ayent, Niwärch, Gorperi, Wyssa… I hiked the Bisse d’Ayent once and such an encounter with crazy bikers would not have been a pleasant experience, to say the least. 😡 Elsewhere, I don’t mind.
In general I do not want to be the one complaining as I do creazy things myself (climbing, hiking), but this does not look like a bike route. Like whatever, but mixing hikers and bikers on one route is not the best idea. And you can always find adrenaline on a prepared track with exposition, while not fighting with the route as much... If this is indeed a bike route, the preparation is slightly off I guess :P
Free climbing mountains goes beyond all levels of scary including this although falling several thousand feet knowing your life is over is an experience I wish on nobody.

Ride a bike on a death drop mountain side, but censor fuck.
Insane! Thank you for sharing your experience with those of us who's in love with life and would never take such risk.
😂 thanks to them indeed
My hat off for you guys. Beautiful mountain trail, but so dangerous. Glad you show this.
Fr. Glad to live in a time to be able to see the things like this via smartphone! Lol
Y'all are amazing! But I held my breath during the whole video 😮
Glad you lived, quite actually. I’m 73 and have some near death under me belt BUT. BRILLIANCE. Funny crew. Fearless. “This is what I live for. !” Absolutely astounds me how extremely skilled riotously talented Bikerz laugh hilariously in the most dangerous times And the nuttiest moments. Bloody Brits ❤️👏👏👏Astounding risk takers. After riding on those 500 m cliffs, the woods seem easy. 🤪 For THEM. Tunnels I could never fit through 😳. I’ve watched a lot of kayaking videos. Extremely treacherous. But these guys take the cake. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 I raced motorcycles for seven years. People thought that was dangerous. This is actually dangerous. Racing motorcycles seems like child’s play compared to this. thanks for doing that so I never have to. 🙏 please continue to stay alive 😱🥳🌟🌟🌟🌟❤️😎👀🥸
Nothing brilliant about it. It's stupid, plain and simple.
That cliffside, narrow trail section was terrifying. These guys have amazing skills but have to be insane. Wow!
Love it how riding mm’s away from death on a cliff edge is no problem but then a small tunnel freaks you out! 😂Fantastic video Pal, thank you for sharing this amazing adventure! ❤ Superb!! Feel like I’ve been along that route on foot, they look like levadas. 🤔Keep them coming Mate! 👏👏👏
My brain can't even react fast enough to what I'm seeing let alone make judgement calls split second body steering like that. Thanks for being absolute maniacs to bring us these awesome spectacular views since I will never dare or be capable to do this myself ! :)
Hey thanks for filming the race for the Darwin award. I usually just read about who's won it. It's interesting to see so many eligible candidates in the actual race.
This was the best thing I’ve ever seen that bike trail was insane all the different types of Terran on the edge of high cliffs definitely a must to go on thanks for the video
Insane, gave me anxiety just watching it, cant imagine how someone found or made this trail.
I've never had my jaw drop like that while watching an MTB vid.
I was holding my hands tight while watching it! 😂
Wow that was so awesome!! Beautiful scenery! Some gnarly riding
There is no reason for this. Everything has a line between fun and stupidity, you are honestly trading far too much risk for your rush.
That's a matter of opinion. I mean, I agree. But this guy is welcome to draw that line where he wants
Bro , these guys are obviously skilled Riders , there wasn't one moment where they even came close to Danger .
YOLO
You must be new to the world. These are called dare devils and they don't care about your negative opinion considering you live a boring life
It’s HIS rush tho, you can’t tell him he can’t risk his life for what he wants. Like telling someone they can’t do drugs cause they might die, or drive really fast. People have different ways to feel the way they want. Let the man LIVE!
Outstanding that your bikes held up to what looked like some pretty rough terrain.
Apart from the wide angle lens which distorts the perspective so much that you've no idea what you're watching, that was an amazing vid!
I see stunts that are out of this world, I click and like. 😊
Wow, what a ride! Beautiful footage!
Thanks a lot!
Guys, Here is our True Savior
HalleluYAH translates “Praise ye YaH”
YaH is The Heavenly Father
YaH arrives via the TENT OF MEETING
YaH was Who they Crucified for our sins
YaH was Crucified on an Almond TREE
- Ancient Semitic Cuneiform of Moshe (Moses)
- Isa Scroll (The Original Isaiah)
Isaiah 42:8
"I am YaH; that is my Name! I will not yield my glory to another or my praise to idols.”
Isaiah 43:11
“I am YAH, and there is no other Savior but Me.”
Isaiah 45:5
“I am YaH, and there is none else.”
That was insane, and the views were amazing! I’m glad you had fun and didn’t get hurt.❤ I don’t know how you do that, but it’s awesome! 👏
There is a huge difference between courage and stupidity
These trails are actually not as narrow as they look in the video. They are recording these videos with wide angle lenses which compact everything to fit the normal screen/photo format. The wider the lens angle the narrower the trails appear.😊
"I DON'T WANNA DIIIIEEEE!!!" as you're literally courting death. 😂
I love mountain biking but I will never experience that,. THIS is by far my favorite video on RUclips . CRAZY !!!!! LOVE it
This is sick, cant walk no more, but i love this kind of vids watching on the couch 😄
😅😂😂
Beautiful landscape, youth, health, great bikes, great friendships...Perfect!!
i have pretty bad anxiety. i use your videos as shock therapy to accustom myself to the increased heartrate and fluttery brain shit you get when you hit panic mode. it's helping. this one... HOLY FUCK YOU have brass balls. wish you the best, and a long career of safe riding.
Hope things improve for you, dude.
@@DrMcMoist no worries man, i live my life raw an open. i just wish i had the balls to do what you do. i love it, it speaks to me, but my heart pounds like a train just thinking about the falls etc. you're a wild man!
@@aunderiskerensky2304 Oh I'm not the guy in the video. Just some random.
Damn that looks like adrenaline fuelled fun, well done guys.
What MTB trails did you ride? Specifically. I know it's Crans-Montana in Switzerland, but they have lots of different trails so just wondering which ones you rode because I want to ride it in summer at some point...probably not this year but whatever. Just want to know the trail names and stuff. Thanks
WOW man ! i dont have any words to say just anything on this video ! pure Mountainbiking experience ! i dont have that big of balls to even try this ! but so extreme nice to see you doing this ! much love brother dont stop this content ! and greetings from germany
Don't mistake ballsy for stupidity.
The camera absolutely flattens that descent and fails to show how freakin’ steep it has to be!! Crazy stuff. 😅💚
It is wide angle so it does exactly opposite, and fix your brakes mate.
nonsense
its a super wide angle shot
I admire people doing this stuff, full of confidence.. When I was younger I do crazy things like diving in a steep cliff into a shallow river/sea almost landed face first. I know the feeling of adrenaline rushing out and it's so fulfilling when u conquer your fears. But as I grow older and have my own family, everything changes just like a blink of an eye. I am afraid to do foolish things nowadays. But It put a smile on my face as I remember those crazy stunts i did when I was younger... Young, bold and foolish!
That was absolutely unforgettable! Stunning riding, Alex, and the editing was perfect. Thanks so much! BTW: Thanks for the warning about turning off if you've got anxiety, but unfortunately you forgot to say that *watching* the video will probably give you hospitalising anxiety for the rest of your life . . . Cheers! 😂🤣😂
😂😅😂
you sure this was part of a marked mtb trail? not a hiking trail?
Hiking trail
@@wolfpack_adventures too bad you didn't fall
@corneliusthecrowtamer1937 wow, you are evil.
@@wolfpack_adventures then why did you ride it?
@@Christianden-67840Because they want to, and because they’re not cowards like you.
you are a madlad but I love watching stuff like this sooo awesome!
Like bloody hell the amount of speed he gets is quite something, very very dangerous, but of course we're all here watching, thank God he survived,,!!
You guys are nuts! And totally blessed. Thanks for sharing. ❤🎉
8:20 why are you keeping your bike in instead of yourself
Exactly this is why women live longer than men
Dude that was some sick riding. Im going to live vicariously through you though since no way in hell id attempt that.
are you sure you installed brakes and not a train horn? 😂
Excellent video guys as it reminds me when I was young and in les alpes!!!!!!!
90% of that looked amazing fun, the 10% is what would stop me doing it. Absolutely terrifying.
Thank you RUclips algorithm for suggesting this absolutely epic video. You boys shredded that 🤙🏽
And man I gotta say right when the music starts after the cave, and you captioned this is the feeling you live for when riding….man I felt that shit in the feels. Thank you.
As a mountain biker I don’t poses the cajones required for mountain side trails. Beautiful riding my friend! Love your videos!
I'm wondering how much of the scariness is coming from the fisheye lens, but what an amazing video :D
What if a hiker were on the path hiking up during that part at 7:08?
nice, adventurous ride but would be fine if you guys respect the environment a bit more, as you where saying it is not a bike park, there will no-one reshape the track, blocking wheels in corners, shortcutting the way over the gras just ruins it - forever, especially in an high alpine region.
have fun - stay save.
As they were saying? No, they literally said it WAS a "bike trail".
That was next level scary! All I could think about was clipping a bar on the rocks and then flying over the cliff on the left. 😮
Free climbing mountains goes beyond all levels of scary including this although falling several thousand feet knowing your life is over is an experience I wish on nobody.
Just got into biking and I get chills watching this!
I usually walk these tracks by foot. You are crazy for doing them on bike. Mad respect for having the skills and confidence to actually do it.
What skills…you mean stupidness
@@notknown42 People who do that kind of stuff have a lot of training until they do such things. Yes, it is risky, but it is not that bad if you actually have the skills and are careful.
Until someone dies for riding a bike on a footpath
@@psychologicalFudge Of course if they are not capable of driving those paths they shouldn't do that. To me it seems like they are capable of judging the risk of their action. At least I can judge the risk of where I can hike and where I can't. So they probably can do the same.
@benrex7775 I mean, they are the ones doing it not me, so it's their lives at stake. However, even a simple hiccup and boom, there goes their balance.
I'm assuming they scouted ahead an knew nobody was hiking, but some of the stuff they did was them just toying with death
Thumbs WAY UP!! I was so terrified during that one part. You guys had an INSANE RIDE ♥♥♥♥♥
My mouth was wide-open all the time watching this. Incredible !
Thanks for the great and exceptional content! I'd personally would love to watch the full, uncut version of this one or any other trip, my friend :) uncut content is amazing!
I’ll be uploading that to my pov channel! Alex Holowko POV
@@wolfpack_adventures oh, thank u for the info! Dat's wonderful! Also its always greatly inspiring to watch. Even tho the area around my place isn't even remotely that rocky, after watching ur vids I'm ready to stick up with terraforming just to have similar experience :)
7:10 DAMN, dude! 🤯🤯
I skied that same mountain 26 years ago and thought it tough enough. I can't even imagine going down it on a mountain bike!
Insane! So fun to watch from this prospective.
Perspective being 'not on the side of a cliff'.
I'll admit it. From about 7 minutes in I was hugging the floor 😱 awesome video! I'm going for another lie down 😂
Hey guys, what you were doing there is absolutely incredible and crazy!!!
I would never do such a trail myself but have great respect of your courage. Any mistake can be your last one. Great camera and impressing point of view! Stay alive ✌️
"Any mistake can be your last one" exactly my sentiment its the kind of thing special forces would
do as part of a confidence test.
This was INSANE! You guys are so brave
There is a thin line between brave and stupid
question! is that trail only just for mountain biking do you know? that cave and overlook section would be so fun to hike if it's also open to hikers. (I don't mountain bike but do love to hike)
This is Insane but I am worried more for the riders. Take care guys! Its too risky especially the narrow paths!
Disliked because going down a hiking trail like that is just stupid and dangerous, not just for yourself...
This was crazy and fun. Just wanted to know, how do you guys practice mountain biking? I have one and I just ride it.
Suicide by hanging was invented in 10th century Ad.
People before that :
@9:52 he's more concerned about claustrophobia than actually hurtling off a 500 meter cliffside. Go figure.
