I couldn't be there in person at Mont-St Anne this year but tbh it's better with cameras and drones. I really enjoyed the slippy rocks, Loudenvielle was pretty fun too 😂
Please get rid of semis and commentary team. Practice schedule awesome, course markers awesome, Gwinn awesome, track safety meetings awesome. Just a spectator' opinion. Thanks. We had the best racing in a long time, thanks to the riders and teams and sponsors.
Honestly I really enjoyed the commentating when Gwinner was in the booth. Those three were hilarious at times and some of the insights Aaron brings were excellent. And you can't deny they bring some energy.
Because of the mazing coverage this year, we were in an ad break when the best crash of the year happened, when Wyn Masters, had the most huge of hugeies. And we missed it. Thanks a lot Discovery. Well done. Doing a great job overall. Less tracks, more stress on the riders, and less points overall for the small teams, even deleting them if they dont have enough UCI points. Great season overall. Keen to see Bruni, or Peirron win the overall next year, as is tradition.
Holy yard sales Batman!! I hate seeing this part of the sport, but I toughed it out for the entire video. 🙈 I cannot imagine taking a soil sample at those speeds, and, by no stretch of my imagination, can I comprehend the magnitude of a crash where I've literally lost track of where my bike is! Absolutely BONKERS!! I know a lot of those riders got back up and finished their run and possibly came back for another and that's quite the testament to how tough and determined they truly are!!
You're never too old, the more you age the more chances you have to break something doing errands or taking a shower. I'd rather break something doing DH or Freeriding than watering the plants, true story 😂
Could you guys do a compilation of videos where they are about to crash, wiggle and than rescue the situation and continue...I bet those happen even more often? But this hands in data to learn from, maybe those will even learn us how to correct while stumbling. Would be great! Thanks & Good luck!
This made me to love my hardtail even more 😁 it's an MTB a touring bike because it has front and rear racks and 2 place for putting water bottles also it doesn't have the complications of a full sus and it goes way faster on tarmac and climbs more efficient, also less expensive parts and lower maintenance so yeah 😎👍✅ hardtail is still the answer and even for the elderlies E-hardtail is the answer 🗣️ haaaaardtaaail🗣️
@@sijmes was actually referring when he slipped off the bars, happened to me once and its quite the experience. Not discrediting the other rider's crashes, the whole video is a nightmare if you think about it 🤣
I cant believe gow many times ive saved my front wheels from going out by pulling on em like im a kid trying to bunny hop. To see these pros going down from it just shows you how much faster they go than it looks. zero time to react to the front wheel wash. Hucking crazy 😅
Ronan Dunne's crash was way worse than it gets credit for. His head hits the ground hard and he goes limp. He's clearly unconscious for a few seconds before he starts to get up.
Bike crashes are weird. I slammed my head so hard one time I was leaking spinal fluid (didnt realize what it was til later). But no headache or disorientation. I was able to get up and continue.
Canadians are privileged, but tbh if you break something you're better off in the US or Europe. Free but with lots of delays and a spread of incompetency...
With we're learning about Traumatic Brain Injury, how many time have these riders slapped their heads HARD against the ground/objects? More than any professional football player.
Don't understand why so many of those pros go so early down from the pedal in absolutely randomly feared situations. So many time them would got safed by trust in the balance from the bike
DH bikes are for the air. I look at this stuff and all I think about are where are the jumps. Rock gardens suck. I could go through the knarliest rock garden on earth and not feel any joy. Smooth trails and big airs is what MTB’s are for in my opinion. All my worst crashes have been on the ground never air
well from this it seems pretty clear to me that the desperation in the bike industry is due to the proliferation of 29er bikes and their inherent higher c.o.g. making riding not so much fun anymore. plus the expense of keeping up with the latest bit of kit. but then, who am i to say
Glad that midway through the video, the music switched from some unbearable looped generic music to some different looped generic music (supposed to be punk rock i think) that was slightly more bearable.
I was pushed into a curb by a motorbike using a cellphone. Probably less than 10mph and snapped the head of my femur. Unlike me, all these riders must be made of rubber :)
What was your favourite part of this year's racing? Let us know in the comments! 👇
Don’t know about best race But, the best live event I’ve watched this year Redbull rampage! Was something else 👌
I couldn't be there in person at Mont-St Anne this year but tbh it's better with cameras and drones.
I really enjoyed the slippy rocks, Loudenvielle was pretty fun too 😂
Wyn TV, MoiMoi, BK LSD Channel, Edbull Media, Vital MTB, Dialed, just about any other media coverage that wasn't you guys....
Please get rid of semis and commentary team. Practice schedule awesome, course markers awesome, Gwinn awesome, track safety meetings awesome. Just a spectator' opinion. Thanks. We had the best racing in a long time, thanks to the riders and teams and sponsors.
it's f***** distasteful to show downhillriders crashing. Show the best moves/saves/wahtever - literally whatever except DH race crashes.
I would like a collection of the biggest saves from crashes in MTB/DH history, there are some crazy recoverys that could have gone really bad 🤘
Hey, UCI. This many people want better commentators next year! 👇
I want to race, screw commenting.
But yeah I wasn't fast enough at 20 now at 40 I'm just waiting for a senior cup ...
Bring back Rob Warner
All I heard was, Wow that was a huge crash.
I want shots that actually capture the rider. Whats up with these drone shots?!
Honestly I really enjoyed the commentating when Gwinner was in the booth. Those three were hilarious at times and some of the insights Aaron brings were excellent. And you can't deny they bring some energy.
Crashes just aren't the same without Rob Warner commenting on them !
If you've tucked or washed the front before you know how fast it goes from smiles to sobs

The rockface at Mont-St-Anne are gnarly at low speed in the dry.
It was very entertaining to watch them go full send that day...
That nose save at the end though....

best Edit from the Year...this is real Riding !
Cela c’est mes formats préféré ! J’aime bcp ce genre de vidéo ! Merciiii !
What can we learn from this video?
- don’t hit drops or bumps too far forward
- maintain control on berms
- choose good lines
- don’t die
- needs some Unsane - Scrape
HEROES! 😂 😂 I've had my share of over the handlebars. Part of the joy of MTBiking.
insane skill
Some gems in this one!
4:58 is super funny at 2x speed! That rock face section was super sketchy, and I'm glad everyone was okay!
I'm impressed how many of these guys can pop up after going down so hard. I know if it were me I would still be laying on the ground recovering.
Downhill riders are built tough and different
Holy yard sales Batman!!

Отважные парни!!!
Катают самые лучшие!!!!!
7:18 yellow shirt, his technique was awesome!
good stuff
God I love this sport
Background music is meant to be just that…way to loud and obnoxious
So badass 👹 I want to do downhill so bad
This is me riding my local green trail.
Some very tough boys and girls there…. Mad respect!
Can't watch from canada in 2024. That went down fast.
Damn some of those must've hurt bad. Padding or not.
Nice
snap those bars from hands .... damn
Perspective can be difficult in this sport because of the cameras flattening out everything, you can only tell how fast they're going when they crash.
now i see why front suspension set up is important
That part with the dude falling on his bike...ouch
👌🤣im too old for that, looks like fun though🤔i will stick to riding trails on my hardtail😉
You're never too old, the more you age the more chances you have to break something doing errands or taking a shower. I'd rather break something doing DH or Freeriding than watering the plants, true story 😂
You think high speed crashes on chunky terrain looks "fun"?
DH rulez ... Slow riding sucks 😂❤
So crazy to see how much force it takes to actually get the feet out of the pedals!
These crashes are insane! 🤪
Does he pop both his tyres at about 4:19?
And what's the green stuff coming out of them?
Tire sealant
Tire sealant
Front Titel only i think .. na the rim was fucked too 😂
Pointy rocks... Ouch
What amazes me is not that they crash. At that speed that basically a given. What amazes me is that they all stand up afterwards.
1:31 I had a similar crash almost 2 weeks ago and messed up my right shoulder I wasn't even wearing a helmet , thank God nothing worse happened
Could you guys do a compilation of videos where they are about to crash, wiggle and than rescue the situation and continue...I bet those happen even more often? But this hands in data to learn from, maybe those will even learn us how to correct while stumbling. Would be great! Thanks & Good luck!
bought xc hardtail for 300$ - used for 20+ years of everyday use
Bought fully for 5000$ - used for 1/4 ride
2:10 Just before the finish line! Thats sad!
Soccer players: kpop
Downhill racer: Heavy Metal
seriously the music wtf?
Please make a UCI day pass, miss watching downhill racing. Why is everything behind a paywall now
Lot's nasty crashes at Mount Snow during the NORBA years. Yard Sale was 1 nasty section
1:45 What a horrid crash!
the only thing missing on that line to be perfect is alligators pond 🤣😂
Good driving👍 next time use bigger rims and tires! Those pops like 🎈😂
The bikes: "Hey watch us do a somersault!" The riders: "Bruh! WTF?"
Clipless == 💀☠💀
Some of these guys have the reaction speed of a cat, unbelievable, hope they are all ok ❤
1:03, stuff of nightmares!
nice and soft where he landed, what about those rock garden dives or Seagrave of that boulder. 😬
@@sijmes was actually referring when he slipped off the bars, happened to me once and its quite the experience. Not discrediting the other rider's crashes, the whole video is a nightmare if you think about it 🤣
@@kuyaanimaAaah OK, I'm with you 😆 I'm nursing a fractured leg, each fall makes me twitch. I only dabbed in a corner. These clips are brutal ☠️☠️☠️
who tf would put a block in the middle of the track

The clipped in crashes are a pain to watch. But 4:11 was very funny.

soccerplayers SCREAMING their lungs out ROLLING on the field DH riders hold my beer
I love the Warp speed but bloody hell, are we maybe going to fast?
Dunne winner of the crash challenge 😂
Hence the very short racing careers for all involved. I bet their insurance premiums are off the scale.
Canadians are privileged, but tbh if you break something you're better off in the US or Europe.
Free but with lots of delays and a spread of incompetency...
Maybe that's why there are no races in the US next year. Moving them all to Europe where the health care is not ridiculous
6:58 Greg Minnaar
Rumours said that from about 200 athletes only a few ended the race with two arms and legs with them.
"dude where's my bike"
This is 100% correlation vs causation. The same forks caused literally every one of these crashes! Every fkn one!
Some great hacks for breaking beads and easy tire removal...
Choose ONE: Speed or Control?
EDR version please!
Thanks for this vicarious trauma 😂 not to mention the traumatic commentary this year, please train or replace them during the off season 🤞
Id rather them pay more for better drone pilots lol. I actually wanna see the rider during the drone shots. Not some b roll looking ish.
DH is now one step from spandex...
Fourth comment
They're just like you and me; they just crash faster.
I remember when the trees weren't padded.. and liked to run out and hit us....
🏋️🏋️🏋️
This is better described as "every single crash we could find". And some aren't even crashes.
You aren’t human if you don’t crash.
anyone has this sound track list ?
It's in the description! 🤘
Am I the only one who believes that it is not a coincidence and has to do with the 29' wheels?
"I can't watch this." "Fk it!"
Is the bikes ok? It cost a fortune for me to buy one bike
They get them for free for sponsers
Так можно хребет сломать...остальное мелочи руки,ноги...
Watching this gives me PTSD...

Where is Rob?
I could do this on a unicycle
Apparently fun was NOT had by all.
atleast there getting tamer each year
Im never riding my bike again after watching this 😂
MTB VS Football 😂😂
