- The first few days of Red Bull Hardline 2024 have been insane. Riding the new track and new features has been a huge challenge in the wet conditions and now the river gap is closed I have to hit the massive cliff drop which is so scary. I hit the road gap with Jono and it felt so huge again but racing this year is going to be a whole new test for me. Red Bull gave me the honour of surprising Ronan Dunne with his Red Bull helmet! Red Bull only sponsor the best athletes in the world and Ronan has proved himself - winning Hardline Tasmania and his first Downhill World Cup last month. Enjoy my course preview!

Both Jono and BK are too old now. Have a look at Red Bull's riders history. They only award up and coming young riders who are in the beginning of their career, usually early 20's.

Can confirm. Just got back from Wales, literally like 15 mins from this area. Slightest bit of wetness on your boots when hiking and the mud and rocks become like ice. :D

I assumed it was Jono with Matt’s excitement and Jono being featured in a Red Bull hardline video a few days ago.
So Matt jumps the moster canyon/ravine/river gap that got cancelled afterwards for being too deadly - and at the same time gets defeated by a scary slick rock in bottom woods. Doesn't compute xD
So how does red bull sponsorship work then if the new lid is a surprise? Does the rider know anything about it beforehand? How does the deal get worked out? And what about sponsorship clashes? Like if the helmet manufacturer: do they get a say?
