I’m so glad that they’re bringing back the prehistoric creatures to ark, the fantasy ones are fun, but the prehistoric creatures are what brought me to ark, so it’s nice to see them returning somewhat
Too bad they've only gotten more and more unrealistic they started with the giving certain donor feathers and now shooting ice spikes 🙄

@@riccsty7851 I think that’s fun, a game where you can mount perfectly accurate dinosaurs and stuff would be boring. Like, without their crazy magical powers, most animals would be pretty much the same gameplay-wise.
Accuracy doesn’t make for a fun game, believe it or not.
And besides, Ark creatures were never accurate, they’re like Jpark levels of inaccuracy. Compare a “real” (I put quotations around “real” because the ideas for what prehistoric creatures looked like are constantly changing) Utahraptor to an Ark raptor (one of the first creatures added to the game).
@@sharksuperiority9736 they could still have normal mechanics like the griffons gliding and other such things I just feel that its pretty damn stupid seeing them give a dino fantasy abilities and not just making something else

honestly i assumed the "infected grenade" thing was gonna be that. was kinda surprised they didnt do that

I literally thought that combining poop and grenade would make a sticky grenade that was the reason why im hyped about the creature, but now im kinda disappointed, tbh im not really that hyped for any of the creatures in this update, amarsaurus is cool and all but i dont see any use of it in pve, the monkey is cool but it’s just like a deinonychus and ferox, the pet shoulder is cool bc now you can glide and also hover ig that’s the only useful creature i would find for pve imo. The creatures voting was just disappointing like i always wanted Acro and brachy from ark addition to come, and im 100% sure most consoles player want that too, and what did we get, a throwing poop monkey and a shoulder pet…
all of these are looking awesome, but I'm in love with the Sinomacrops, they're such adorable little violent beasties

A few things you missed: The monkey's ground pound causes some animals to poop. If you double tap space while flying with the sino, you'll get an upwards boost, like the tek jetpack. And the sino scream can be used with the clap emote, so you can bind that key and use it instead of the wheel. Also, you can hit space while riding an amargasaurus to lock it in a direction so it won't turn, this allows you to aim at things without changing direction, like a tank turret. Whatever spike type is active, will be applied to the "neck shake" melee attack (I think this one requires you to face forward and not be moving). And last but not least, the armor spikes make everything take more damage (or maybe it negates mate boost armor, I need to test it more), so it is absolutely useful in PVE. (and one lil thing I want to add, I'm so glad the amargasaurus doesn't have loud ass footsteps like every other sauropod :) )
Same, I hate using the other sauropods because their footsteps are horribly loud. I was so happy to see that the amargasaurus had relatively quiet footsteps.
Why can't the monkey carry guns as they said in the vote?
@@rihasanatrofolo2472 Probably cause that would’ve been hard to program and doesn’t really fit the game. Plus the ideas that that were given in the vote were just suggestions, the creature was ultimately gonna be what WC thought would be best.
Also with the Dinopithecus you can hold the jump button to make it do a super jump, and with the Amargasaurus you can look in different directions to do a different attack, specifically a tail whip and a stomp
If you fall from really high, the sino spreads it's wings and slows your fall even with no stamina. I can't tell if it just really reduces fall damage or not but it seems to make you fall slower
Also seems like a hard counter to microraptors

The Sinomacrops is not a poor mans tek jet pack because you don’t get emotionally attached to a tek jet pack

Man, I was really hoping for more viable sauropods, so it is nice to finally see one. I know the titanosaur is op but it is basically useless in pve and takes up way too many resources.
Also doesn't help that you can't keep it

It won't eat by itself meaning you gotta hand feed it or else it starves anyway

The monkey's slam can be used mid-air and does more damage depending on how far up you started the "ground pound".
Hey Syntac I just wanted to thank you for providing me with the urge to get back into Ark. I haven't really played it since at least 4 years ago.
As well as making the great game series that you do.
Right now my 2 year old son and me are plowing through your Ultimate Ark series and we love it, it's created a certain quality time for us to cuddle up in the couch and watch your series. So thank you for that man, wish you all the best!
All shoulder mounts should be updated to access their inventories while on your shoulder. It would make my Jerboa way more efficient when farming drops.

What I really wanted to see was if sinemacrops can scare off troodons and microraptors before those have change to attack you
You can set them to automatically scream when threats are near, and they can scare off troodons, microraptors, pegos....really pretty much anything dilophosaurus sized and below
I can’t help but feel the Dinopithicus has too many abilities, to the point it replaces existing creatures and makes them obsolete.
I like the idea you need to gather something specific from the dino to be able to make their saddle.

Man these creatures are all awesome. It's getting me so hyped for Ark 2.
I was going to ask if anyone else was having issues with their Dinopithicus' unfollowing after attacking anything (corpses, enemies, being attacked by enemies), then I got to that part haha.
Edit: I'm excited for the use of the little guy with Microraptors though.
Bah, turns out (according to the wiki) the Sino doesn't work with Microraptors :( Lame dude.

You forgot to mention that your own sinomacrops will in fact murder you if you're wearing chitin armor.

I think the monkey dos take falla damage but because you are on god Mode It disables damage on Riding crestures
tested and it doesn’t take fall damage

The climbing animation for the dinopithecus needs some work but other than that they're done really well

also i think they messed up with the spawns and they are appearing in other maps, i found some dinopithecus in valguero lol

I still can't believe they put Extinction and Genesis creatures on the lost island. Plus Wyverns and Griffins... this map is OP. The only problem I had was the dino levels were really low. I flew around in creative mode and the best level dino I found was a 120 Allosaurs. Might just need a dino wipe. But some of the creatures on this map is gonna make it a cluster mainstay map kinda like Rag.

What my favourite of these 3 dinos is? Probably the Amargasaurus. I just love the fact that there is finally a theropod in game that is capable of defeating at least something! Are you going to mutate onw of them?

Sinimacrop is so useful. You can carry it so you can still do everything else, can retreat from big dinos or just scale a mountain to get over it. Also it’s cute.

I'm like taming every single freaking dino that is like bright green or orange or red. Really cool looking dinos on this map. Only 1.5 hours into it. Stopped playing Ark when FH5 and Far Cry 6 came out, but had to revisit it to check out the new map. Pretty impressed so at

It seems like there's a significant lack of sea/water creatures on the new island, I don't know if we're waiting on something, or if it's just that way, or if I maybe just haven't found good areas. Hopefully soon I can play it more, I'm really enjoying what I've played so far.

Just get a bunch on them, follow them onto the leader, and drop em in and fight their dino's
Then follow up with your crew flying in with those tiny sinomacrops' to do looting and disabling stuff
Do dinopithicus actually not take fall damage? I see he is in creative mode which disables damage for the tame you are riding

When you use the ground pound Attach With the Dinopithecus on a creature it will poop
When I woke up and checked discord, I saw this and immediately started a play through on the Lost Island
The Dinopithicus is pretty much a Poop throwing adult Ferox, that's it.
Why did 301 people have to be salty and stop us getting a new Apex carnivore, Carcharodontosaurus could've been the next Rex Megalo Hybrid

When I started playing ark survival evolved I found a giga I didnt know what that was but I knocked it out because I didnt know what it was I killed it until I saw on a video saying taming the second strongest dino I said welp I'm an idiot

The heat and cold spikes do negate each other. It will melt a frozen critter and extinguish a burning critter.
A tad disappointed. The baboon was supposed to be able to pick you up with it's tail. I was hoping Wildcard finally gave us a "hey come pick me up" whistle
8:45 they are the Sinos food source as well as the scary eyes. I imagine they just die of fear

It’s two things you didn’t do with the sinomacrops it is a parachute too since c is your glider press & hold it you will not take fall damage & it’s a slower fall & their wings do a different animation also it half’s the weight of whatever you put in it very useful shoulder mounts
seeing the amarga gallop brings me great joy
It could wrap its wings around and keep you warm in the cold!
The bird thing can go under water with you and swims

get on a Pela, or any flyer, and fly as fast as you can inches above the ground thru bug areas with a high level Sino on your back, it just annihilates them instantly lol.
