    After I cleaned the lint from my machine, the bobin case clicks every revolution. What happened, did I do something wrong?

    • @LaraYost
      @LaraYost Год назад

      @X Arnett - did you find any solution to the clicking? My new Juki (I've had it only 2 weeks) just started clicking today in the middle of sewing! I've followed all the recommended trouble-shooting, thread-checking, lint-cleaning, bobbin-changing suggestions that I've found so far -- with no luck. I would welcome suggestions from anyone who has had - and resolved - this issue. Please and many thanks!

    Do they need oiling? Nothing in the manual.

    • @SEWMINIThings
      @SEWMINIThings  4 года назад

      The DX7 model does not require oiling by the customer. Routine service at a JUKI Authorized dealer is recommended. If you are in central Florida, we can help.

    My bobbin case seems to be scraping when a sew, it just started doing it. Any suggestions? I just followed this video to clean around the area and it continues to sound like scraping

      I have a DX 5... a month old. I bent my needle today and after changing needle i hear that scraping sound. I follow the direction and sound is still there. I wonder if the scraping sound coming from the part above the needle...HELP. I do not want to return this Zuki

      Le IndieLuve same! Only a month old! What the heck did I do wrong? Why is this a common issue?

      Kassie Woodworth - my last day to return to amazon tomorrow... yikes!
      I am trying to figure where it’s coming from. I opened the face plate... looks good there.

      Le IndieLuve I literally missed my day to return it to amazon by 12 hours. I would say return it but that’s up to you. You are supposed to return it to the seller for repairs if you do need them. My bobbin case looks perfectly fine too and everything inside. From what I have read if there is the slightest problem with it, it will mess up. May I ask who the company is that you bought it from through amazon?

      Scraping noise around you bobbin case can be either a rough spot on the bobbin case or a small nick or bur on the hook. The hook is the metal ring the bobbin case sits on. Either imperfection could be virtually invisible to the eye but may cause a swiping sound. The bobbin case gets replaced 90% of the time and the hook gets buffed. People often get the noise after they've jammed their machine and bent or broke a needle. As long as it does not affect your stitching you can live with it until you can get it to the shop.

    So it doesn’t need to be oiled? I have the same machine.

    • @SEWMINIThings
      @SEWMINIThings  6 лет назад +2

      Correct. In that part of the machine, you don't have to add oil. Hope you enjoy your sewing experience.

      Sew-MINI Things thank you for the video. The Juki owners manual leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to cleaning and maintenance. I had no idea that switch for the zig zag was even there! It also doesn’t say what size bobbins to use in the manual. Love my Juki regardless. The maintenance compared to the Bernina is much easier.

    What ruffles foot can be used to gather?

    • @SEWMINIThings
      @SEWMINIThings  5 лет назад

      Technically ruffles and gathering are two different things. A gathering foot is available from your local JUKI dealer. The ruffle foot will be a generic one and you will have to make sure that the needle to ankle spacing works with your machine.

    I purchased my DX5 in may but didn't use it right away (I tend to do projects in spurts). Did a few mending's and everything was working fine. Then sewed a couple of garments dropped the feed dogs for a little free sewing and now they won't fully engage. Only the back of the feed dogs come up. I've switched the lever back and forth but they won't reengage. Any suggestions? I don't have any Juki dealers any where near me and had to purchase my machine online through a dealer 3 states away and don't want to have to pay a $100 just to ship it to them to look at. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

      Feed dogs do not pip back up. Makevsure the switch is in the up position and run the machine. They will fully engage aftervactevolution. This is designed as a safety feature to be sure all the pieces are in sync.

    Anyone reading this have a problem with the bobbin thread nesting up only when the trimmer is used?

    • @SEWMINIThings
      @SEWMINIThings  4 года назад

      This a normal occurrence for some of the machines to have a "bubble" of thread on the back. We have contacted JUKI and they are aware of this issue. If you are unhappy with this avoid using the thread cutter thread cutter.

      Read on some quilting forums to hold the bobbin thread behind the needle when beginning to sew.

    Is it the same for the Juki DX-1500QVP?

    • @SEWMINIThings
      @SEWMINIThings  4 года назад

      Although each machine is a little different, every modern machine should come with a brush and you should regularly clean out the machine. Does this answer your question or do you need something more specific answered?
