    WOW ! Thank for uploading this instructional video. I just bought a new Juki HZL-F300 and want to take great care of it. Been sewing for 5 decades now, and know the importance of cleaning out the lint and changing out the needles regularly. This will save $$$ and a lot of frustration. Will have to purchase some of those cleaning pads.

    Thank you for the video. If I may suggest a safety tip. Unplug the machine before tinkering with its internals.

    Love my Exceed 400. I cleaned it under the bobbin case and dogfeed. That was a mess. But it's even noiser. I love my almost silent machine. But it's loud now.

    Boki your tutorials are very helpful. Can you please create a tutorial on setting the tension on a Juki bobbin case, for example when you purchase a replacement bobbin case it may need to be tightened/loosened etc

    I have both the Juki HZL-DX7 and the TL2010. The DX7 is a breeze to keep maintained, and I usually clean out the bobbin area after every project. It takes all of 5 minutes. The TL takes a little more maintenance, but it isn't difficult as long as I clean and oil it regularly.

      I know this is old but wanted to add my 2 cents since you didn't specify which gauge of leather you wanted to sew. Almost any domestic machine will sew thinner leather but it would take an industrial type of machine to sew thicker leather.

    • @meacadwell
      @meacadwell Год назад

      I'll clean mine (HZL-f300) after 1-3 bobbin refills. It depends upon the type of thread I'm using.
      Coats & Clark - each bobbin. (I got a lot of this thread when I first started sewing. I'm kicking myself for it now that I've used thread that is so much better. Now I'm trying to use it up.)
      Cotton - every second bobbin.
      Polyester - I've found my machine doesn't really need a clean until bobbin 3.

    Ooops….I’ve made a big boo-boo. I was cleaning my machine and thought the “fuzz” thing on the left was a bunch of jammed threads. And I pulled it out. Now the thread cutter doesn’t work. Can it be fixed?

    • @JukiJunkies
      @JukiJunkies  Год назад

      That fuzz only helps with your lint. Doesn’t have anything to do with cutter. Look carefully around for threads preventing it from moving.

      @@JukiJunkies Thanks…I’ve taken it apart and looked for debris, thread, etc. Can’t see anything, but I’ll try again. At least you’ve assured me that I didn’t wreck my fairly new machine. Whew….

      I did it too. I've had my Juki Hzl f600 for several years and I clean it after almost every project. I don't even remember exactly when this "brush" disappeared. I'm a little angry because I take care of my tools…but in the user manual the description of cleaning device is very short and doesn’t present the information from the video above. There is also no information about the oil.

    Want to make sure wife dosent improvise. I sent this video to her.

    • @JukiJunkies
      @JukiJunkies  2 года назад

      Correct NEVER use compressed air on a machine.

    • @meacadwell
      @meacadwell Год назад

      No canned air because it contains chemicals that can adhere to the internal parts making thme not able to work. And it can push lint further into the machine possibly ending up where it seriously should not go and possibly damaging internal parts or computerized parts if it's that type of machine.

    Bobbin cases are 80 bucks😱 can you do a more close up on how to put it in ᑭᗴᖇᖴᗴᑕTᒪY? My Juki 300 is my absolute baby I love her so much and I don't want anything to happen to her.

    • @meacadwell
      @meacadwell Год назад

      Yes, it's a RIDICULOUS price for that little thing. I could see it around $35 but $79 USD???
      I just had to replace my bobbin case because the cloth ring the bobbins sit on wore out and they don't make replacements for that ring - you have to purchase an entirely new bobbin case!
      I purchased my HZL-f300 on sale for $599 four years ago. $79 is almost 1/7th of what I paid for this little plastic doohickey!!!!!!!!
