#1 wealth building tip. Call your credit card company and have them block all future payments to RSI so you can't talk yourself into buying more ships lol.
One recommendation for new players - MAKE FRIENDS! Experienced players are super helpful to new players. Don’t beg for money in global chat, instead inform chat you’re a new player and ask people if they need any help with missions. You’ll make friends quickly. I love these videos man. Straight to the point and incredibly helpful. I just started during IAE a few months ago and I’m understanding the game much more.
Peeps that beg often enough get a reputation as beggars, I know I recognize a few names on the Aussie servers for it. I started playing a few weeks ago and I've made so many friends by hopping into people's teams to crew and help out, or just chatting in global. This is a very social game, from my experience.
Be sure to add that you want to WORK for money when you state you are new, beggars say they are new hinting for white knights to throw money at them. I have total respect for players wanting to learn and make their own money.
Dude, this is the best how to vid I’ve ever seen for this game in 10 years. Clear, thorough, detailed, and extremely entertaining! So well done. I wish I was a new player to follow this play by play 😂! Keep up the great work! Sanford and Son was always on my mind! CIG MVP THIS MFs!
I'm a millionary made by salvage, got most of ships and everything the money is able to buy. But what makes me even more money was a roleplay i started about organization to save the turtles in Stanton, if you buy a turtle of myself you got yourself a ticket to one of our VIP events where we throw parties in different moons while people are high on maze, riding ground vehicles and doing some shennanigans. This... brings me more than 350 million in donations. Never beg, be smart and the money just come towards you.
@@DigThat32 btw i'd like to add you could salvage your own ships try flying to a station like everus, setting your spawn there then fly the biggest ship you can out then turn off the ship and die, when you revive in the clinic spawn your vulture and scrap your ship
Been playing this game for about 8 years or so, I can make it to oligarch pretty quickly at this point. But I like to get on youtube and check out videos like this just to see what people are suggesting. This is an excellent little guide. Gets a new person into some good learning gameplay loops, gives clear directions, gives control hints where needed and is to the point. No rambling all information. Guy has a voice built for radio and isn't annoying to listen to (so many creators for this game sound like a dying puma rubbing against a chalk board so I appreciate the ease of listening. Keep it up man, this needs some more exposure as its one of the better guides I've seen to get a new person into the game. Easy subscribe and follow from me.

GREAT video, super entertaining! I just got into the game yesterday, rolling solo dolo until I can talk some pals into getting it. Cant wait to get home and try some of this out! Great explanations!
Most excellent video there, mate! Getting a Vulture and then a Reclaimer was the best decision money-wise in the game. Reclaimer is indeed a flying money printer right now. Some tips for salvaging: - Vulture: can stack a total of 23 cargo boxes plus buffer in it. I made about 800k - 1 million per hour with just disintegrating the hulls from 80k missions around Yela and selling at Grim Hex. - Reclaimer: 250k Hammerhead missions are the go to here. You can stack around 5 Hammerheads worth of 16 SCU boxes in the salvage processing hold. Store boxes on the balcony as well for more room and drop some at the end of the salvage processing hold down the hole at the end. 5 Hammerheads in boxes plus 1 in the buffer nets you a profit of 9-10 million per run in 1.5 - 2 hrs. - Landing the Reclaimer on planets is tricky. Take your time and be careful. It can only stay in the air in VTOL mode and when the ship is completely level. If your nose pitches up or down, you will lose height. - Flying a Reclaimer out of atmosphere takes a long time and lots of Hydrogen fuel. Fly to Grim Hex with a smaller ship, claim the Reclaimer here and take off to your salvage run. Do your salvaging and sell the cargo at major planets. Claim your smaller ship there and fly back to Grim Hex, where you claim the Reclaimer and take off again. - You are especially vulnerable when your are stacking boxes with a Reclaimer or a Vulture. Fly to safe place first if you're worried about pirates before you go to the cargo hold. You can select a jump target, fly a short time and then exit Quantum Drive midway, either by pressing "B" again or by shutting down the ship ("U"). - A Reclaimer cannot land everywhere, it needs large landing pads to stow it. Grim Hex and Planets have them. But you can refuel and sell your cargo anyway on other space stations: find a docking platform outside of the station with a dedicated entry for people on foot. You only need to "land" sideways so that some of the landing gear is touching the platform, then you can refuel and repair. Exit the Reclaimer and remember the number of your docking platform. Enter the station and sell your good there and return to your ship. Not ideal, as stations have smaller maximum inventory than planets, but doable. And above all else: Have fun! Star Citizen shines when you can play together with other people.
I am just getting into Star Citizen and waiting for parts of my new rig to arrive. But hyping myself up watching lots of vids about it before getting it setup! This has got to be one of the best "how to" videos in both content and production I have seen on the subject!! Got my sub and will be watching for more!! Hope to see y'all in the game this week :D
One of the best tutorials I have seen for this game. I play since 2017 SC so I know I bit of the game. And i have to say you managed to keep your tutorial short but still explained something a new player might not now like putting attachments on your multitool. It was just the perfect mix of keeping it short as possible but don't cut out something important. Thanks for that, keep going
This has helped me out SO much. I am BRAND NEW to sc, and was pretty overwhelmed learning all the keybinds and overall mechanics. This guide has proven invaluable. Thanks for taking the time to put this out, one of the best if not the best guide I have found!
Salvaging with a Vulture isn't as profitable as it was in this video but on the flipside we have the metal panels in Lagrange points that can net you about 450k per hour if you fill your Vulture with about 3 full buffers (39 scu boxes I think), still a long road to 16 million though
Altered Carbon reference. Nice. I'm sending this to a new player I know. Thanks for walking thru how to set route, Dig. I'll think he'll appreciate that
Great video. I started in SC in 2021 but stepped away for the last year. To many times, probably 80% I would loose everything because the game/server would crash. Your video was the first I have watched as I prepare to give this another whirl. Big help and encouragement, nice job!
Thanks for the vid. I was trying to do my first slam drop off and sell at Sam’s and sons and as I hit the kiosk someone came out of the shadows and knocked me out… killed me and stole my cargo. I’m a rust player so I should know better. So much loss but so much fun haha!
Brother, thank you so much for your SC guides, I tried Elite Dangerous but it was very overwhelming, even these RUclipsrs couldn't explain in short how to get rich faster, that's why I bought Star Citizen and only you explained how to get credits so fast, no barking for 30 minutes! Everything is super clear and I understand everything, you show places where you can buy something (other RUclipsrs don't even mention it). So I'm really grateful I watched your video! I liked it and subscribed!
New player here. Obviously I've been watching a ton of videos out there but yours is just more entertaining by the way you speak and very informative without spending so much time babying the new players. Like "alright, here you go. Do this. Don't ask why. Makes sense now huh?". Love the random humor, too. Keep it up dude!
Brother, This video is fire! Is there going to be an updated one for 3.23? I'm a new player. Also, Where can I catch a stream of yours? The vibe is amazing here 🤣
Great narrative! This was perfect for me as I haven't played SC in about 4 years. Getting back into it has required a refresher and this really helped. You covered so much great detail, remembering to move inventory around (so it stays with you), the whole rental paradigm and other stuff that I needed to be reminded of. Some of which was new to me. Great job.
Bought this game in 2017 and barely played it. Just reinstalled and have been preparing this video has been the most helpful one I found so far! Appreciate you
Thank you so much for this! I just picked up Star Citizen and I have been pretty confused on what to do. Your video is edited super well, easy to understand, and sticks on point! Ill be rich before I know it! Stay frosty and out off Klescher boys and girls!
Been playing for 5 years, watched tons of videos. Sometimes watch new player guides to see what the new player experience is like. This was the best new player guide I've seen. You're giving a step by step guide from new player to end game, but leaving it open for them to bounce around and do new things outside of just the grind. I especially like telling them to loot delivery locations for free armour, most new player guides tell them to go buy armour early wasting a bunch of their starter credits
I love the speed and succinct nature of this guide. I was thinking about this subject not long ago. I wanted to see how I'd do with 20k and a starter. I started with an Aurora and put two more bulldogs on it, and went out to do some VLRTs. With call to arms you can get 4500-5K a bounty and just keep racking those up on moon with not a lot of atmo. On a couple occasions I even found some RMC, upping my haul by an extra 14K.
I'm just now learning of the existence of this game. I been stuck on Starfield since it dropped. I must say from the little bit I've seen it looks better than Starfield already lol, better looking ships, better looking gear. Better graphics. Ima have to check this game out.
I ended up buying a hornet pledge when I first started after a friend got me into the game. I now work as a fighter escort for them as they salvage and teach me the ropes of the game even tho they have a reclaimer. I get payed in a cut of the salvage profits for my work.
MIC-L1 does have a station, its just a bit difficult to spot ever since it was moved and INS Jericho got placed in the vicinity. Its at MIC-L1A and called the Shallow Frontier Station. Notable fearures are a personal weapons vendor as well as a refinery, it also offers the closest hospital to Jericho you can respawn at if XenoThreat is running.
My goodness your voice is AMAZING! If you don't already, have you ever considered a line of work where you can us that? Like radio, voice over, commercials etc? I could watch your vids and listen to you talk about stuff for hours. Your videos are awesome and informatve and 10/10.
The highest fastest payout I've done was as a duo, doing "a shift" in a reclaimer will do 14 Hammerheads to fill the ship to the roof, then sell, you need whoever is going to do cargo to be VERY GOOD to make it so the server doesn't tank it and any instability in the ship doesn't affect the 16SCU crates stability into either ghosting (basically you won't be able to sell them later on) or ghosting + breaking all the other crates contributing to a 30K. Everything should net you around 3M an hour, I'd say the difficulty isn't just about managing the cargo, it's about being able to fill it to the rim with little to no hassle in terms of not stopping automatic ejections. Edit: be VERY careful going to sell on Area 18, it will barely have strength to not crash, the ship elevator when you are going out will SINK since the ship will be lowered, with you so jump before.
Dig, that’s a really great guide for new players! I would add one thing about the reclaimer. Exclusively do the 250k Hammerhead clean up missions fracture and disintegrate only, fill up the salvage processing room with 8x240scu and one full filler station. Only 16scu boxes. Stack as high as you can to ceiling. Don’t forget to fill the walkways above. Then go sell at Orison. You’ll gross 15M in CM and mission rewards. It’s crazy $$$ and will prob get nerfed @ quarter 1. Enjoy!
Hitting the Distribution Centres now instead of bunkers for loot, doing high risk RMC runs with my org for cash. Sitting on a comfortable 120 million, got all the ships I want (and some,) and I won't have to worry about money again til 4.0 which I'm expecting a full wipe, and a zero to hero run with my pledge ships. (A Nomad and a ROC)
Amazing video, im a new player to star citizens and didn’t know any good methods to make money, if i did it was all glitches or something that’s not fun like leaving and rejoining to respawn enemies, im at 1.5 million currently. This guide really helped, and it kept me entertained while playing the game. Also amazing narration.
Usually cut my youtube account because of adds, and adblocker detection, but this video made me reconnect only to say : ❤❤❤❤❤❤ Grezt video in every aspect, very entertaining, may God bless you and your family, XOXO.
Amazing guide and your voice is so chill man. I would add anyone that wants some combat and profits. Can grind bounty rep up to ERT status instead of the getting a vulture. Then do ERT’s take out the enemy ships, scan any ship with cargo. Loot slam and weevil eggs then sell and brios or samsons. I find it more fun but it’s rng what you get (also I think it got nerfed) it’s still good tho. But yah the Reclaimer is big $$$$.
Unfortunately my first encounter with the game was with a friend that already owned a reclaimer. So as you can understand money were never an issue for me and I lost half of the game's fun which is progressing financially. Excellent guide and video though🎉
God Damn, I clicked in just to skim what I thought would be semi click-bait, but am instead subscribing and watching the whole thing. Nice work on the video m8.
Great work DT. I appreciate you describing certain nuances of the game in a way, and at a pace, that us noobies can better grasp. Add one more subscriber
I took the middle class IRL method into oligarch status in the game. I just bought a reclaimer like 4 years ago. Even if they end up nerfing the profits on that thing by like 80%, its still gonna probably be the best method lol
Love the guide! Being around since the Kickstarter, there wasn't a lot that was new to me, but it's all so well organized that it's a great vid to recommend to any friends who start _now._ Saving this to my SC instructional playlist.
The terminals are gone now until they add the elevators into the game for the locations now for anyone watching, hopefully they re work the drug system and add some more depth would be awesome to see!
This video has been my bible since I started playing on January. Thank you so much for such a good content! Also, the altered carbon reference 👌👌. The only problem is that now I call Dorito all markers... In game and irl... And people don't get it😅😅
Great video brother. I like the progression and layout of your vid. Great for newbies! The only change I recommend is F6 is shield, not F7. That is engine ;)
10:37 If one doesn't feel like dealing illegal goods, a decent alternative is to rent a Cutlass black and a ROC and mine hadanite. That might be a good thing to include in an updated version of this video (especially as the breakpoints for some of the wealth classes has changed).
Man o' Man - that voice narrating is priceless...also the info you supply with each video is so dense - I have to take notes! Also I swear you're a filmmaker - the shots and cuts are brilliant. Please keep on keeping on - and maybe slow down slightly for newbies (like me) - so we can absorb all you have analyzed. End ego-stroking -
Thanks for the video man. Im trying out the game for the first time and its so tough to figure out what to do and why. Got myself some SCU boxes, some gear and a ship, time to go grind some money 😂 Edit: Sadly SCU containers seem to be bugged atm, wasn't able to put anything inside them, and heard a couple friends who had the same issue.

Holy eargasm your voice is heavenly
Agreed. Very smooth
Awesome video, and thank you for the Altered Carbon reference. One of my favorite shows.
Great show
MIC-L1 does have a station, its just a bit difficult to spot ever since it was moved and INS Jericho got placed in the vicinity.
My friend this is without doubt the best guide I have come across. Just keep keeping on
Dig, that’s a really great guide for new players! Enjoy!
Good tip
Man this is such a well made video. Good job bro.
Great guide, we appreciate the work you put in on this!
Big thanks, Maz
Thanks mayne. Glad it worked for ya
actually one of the few entertaining and informing videos on how u should start, love it man!
🫡!
Dig by far makes the best New player guides, to the point and precise o7🔥
I appreciate that!
This video format is so clean. Really nice pace, contextual hints, funny comments that don't take you out of the pace. Really nice work. Subbed
Much appreciated!
Man i kinda wish there was a guide like this just for life.
Man, me too!
i was about to lose my will to play the game after i crashed with a full load but this video made me want to keep playing
Best guide I ever found on yt.
Keep up! Subscribed after listening to your voice and storytelling skill.
Glad you enjoyed!
Usually cut my youtube account because of adds, and adblocker detection, but this video made me reconnect only to say :
❤❤❤❤❤❤ Grezt video in every aspect, very entertaining, may God bless you and your family, XOXO.
Salute!
Great video way more helpful than most other guides
Salute!
Love me some Altered Carbon references.
Great video! I would of loved to have this over the years as I popped in and out of SC. Hope you keep it updated as the game gets more developed!
This video has resulted in a download of Star Citizen here. Quality product. Thank you.
God Damn, I clicked in just to skim what I thought would be semi click-bait, but am instead subscribing and watching the whole thing. Nice work on the video m8.
o7
Best quality videos, I seen in gaming in awhile...
Great work DT. I appreciate you describing certain nuances of the game in a way, and at a pace, that us noobies can better grasp. Add one more subscriber
I appreciate that!
Glad you enjoyed it!
The terminals are gone now until they add the elevators into the game for the locations now for anyone watching, hopefully they re work the drug system and add some more depth would be awesome to see!
Man this reinvigorated my energy to play ex qaunt miner here I’m going back in try a be a master salvager 😎
This video has been my bible since I started playing on January. Thank you so much for such a good content! Also, the altered carbon reference 👌👌. The only problem is that now I call Dorito all markers... In game and irl... And people don't get it😅😅
Since when the orice of renting shot up.last I played in 3.17 Andromeda was 70k and now its 200k+ per day
CIG needs you on the community engagement team. Like team lead! Well done vid!
This is guide smewth as hell. Not only solid info but a lot of fun to watch. Well made, well done.
Much appreciated!
Brother, shi was clear, concise and to the point. Watched it a few days ago and im sitting at 700k now. Keep on doin what you doin
Fun to watch and lots of good information, thanks!
This is an awesome video! Great info, great script. Def worth the watch.
this is a good quick guide on how to get started with money making in the game! :)
Got me a Vulture for the culture thanks to this dope guide. Thanks for the S tier content.
Glad I could help!
Great video brother. I like the progression and layout of your vid. Great for newbies! The only change I recommend is F6 is shield, not F7. That is engine ;)
Thanks mayne. The layout is WES.. weapons/ engines/ shields
Good to know! Someone told me to make sure to max shields by pressing F6 when I land and I listened instead of verifying, lol. I appreciate it!
10:37 If one doesn't feel like dealing illegal goods, a decent alternative is to rent a Cutlass black and a ROC and mine hadanite. That might be a good thing to include in an updated version of this video (especially as the breakpoints for some of the wealth classes has changed).
How much can you make per run?
Man o' Man - that voice narrating is priceless...also the info you supply with each video is so dense - I have to take notes! Also I swear you're a filmmaker - the shots and cuts are brilliant. Please keep on keeping on - and maybe slow down slightly for newbies (like me) - so we can absorb all you have analyzed. End ego-stroking -
Glad you enjoyed it!
Amazing guide! Really helping me and a bunch of my friends 🔥
What an amazing high production video, I’m stunned.
I'm on my 3rd day of SC starting with just the Aurora and I've already made over 50 mill
Nyce!
This is so well organized, pacing is great...
The Drake Vulture costs like 3 mil rn
The Man! I wish I found this a week ago!
Thanks for the video man. Im trying out the game for the first time and its so tough to figure out what to do and why. Got myself some SCU boxes, some gear and a ship, time to go grind some money 😂
Edit: Sadly SCU containers seem to be bugged atm, wasn't able to put anything inside them, and heard a couple friends who had the same issue.
i forgot i even had this game, time to hop back on thanks
the work is crazy its as if i'm not playing a game
Great video, i am new to the verse but really think this game will eventually be all that i have been looking for. I like your ideas for making money although personally i wont do the illegal stuff just cuz but i like that you show the pros and cons.
Excellent work and i hope you keep at it, making videos that are quick precise and to the point 👍
Excellent Vid....... just plain Excellent. Great work!!!
Great video! Didnt realize there was upgrades for the salvage beams.
Love the style of this video had me laughing and learning new stuff
