Sounds sensible, it is a great bike and I’m sure you’ll love it when you get it. Personally I’d wait until they are able to provide luggage (even if you are not ordering it yourself) as I think the lack of luggage will impact residuals
@@whojamaflip1 Thanks. As far as luggage, BMW in the US is offering 50% off the side cases if you buy a bike in 2024. The cases will be delivered later. I don't think I'll be able to take advantage of that and I'm not sure which side cases I want anyway.
Can you post a link to the recall? More details ? The only info I can find is on the starter relay recall and this bike had that recall completed about 3 weeks before this fault occurred.
It says at the start of the video that there is no new info if you have watched the first two videos…so what did you expect! It is meant to be a video just for people who are interested in the fault alone!
The ignition module would be one of the bike's control module and most likely in control of the starter/ignition system, but as to location, to be honest, no idea! Its definitely not the same cause as the starter issue which there has been a recall on (as the bike had already had its recall for that) There has been some discussion in other chats over if they were actually refering to the Keyless ride module....which detects the keys and would also cause the same symptom, but the BMW dealer were very specific in thier description of the fault.
BMW using customers to test the reliability of their products, you would think they would have ridden the bike in the wet during testing to pick up faults like this.
I just cannot believe that a company these days think it ok to have so many problems that customers who have paid alot of money for is OK I personally would not help to increase their profits I think that when China gets to grips alot of the big companies will be worried and they will have to step up fast
Thanks for these videos. I'm getting a new 1300GS and have decided to wait for a 2025 because of this and a few other early issues.

My dad and grandpa used to talk about being able to put Chevy points into a Harley-Davidson 45/45. Probably can't buy Chevy points anymore.
Thanks for your comment…though I’m a little bit lost by it!😂
There is already a recall for that switch. Good news , bmw fixes these things…
