So very sorry for your loss. I lost my last two boys also right around 8 years of age, you just never get over it when you loose them to soon. My current GSD, call name Odin turned 8 back in August and is doing great…I’m still nervous. You will be reunited again sir, over the rainbow bridge some day
Thanks for your video and sorry to hear about the loss of your lovely dog. I took the 13 GSA out for a demo and wanted to like it a lot. I hated the riding position,noisy engine, awful looks but did like the electric screen. I them demo'd a 1250 GSA and fell in love with it's charming engine which suits my touring aspiration a lot more so opted for one of the last remaining 1250 GSAs available at a very tasty discount too - result! It's a Trophy with black wheels and panniers. Oh and I'll be adding an SC Project can too - cheers for your info on that too!
So sorry for your loss, been through it 3 times now never makes it any easier 😢. Great review but think I'll stick with my r1250gsa for a good while yet, wondering what jacket you're using as I'm in the market for some new kit, Preferably laminated.
Hi and thanks . Jacket from UK company Oxford and it’s called the Mondial . Good jacket, I have 2 , one size smaller than the other for a closer fit in the summer when I don’t use a thermal liner or heated jacket ! My 12 year old shepherd is a lucky chap as he now gets to sleep with us by the side of our bed , a concession we made when we lost his sister 2 months ago . He seems more than happy with that 👍
@gsd32i thanks for that much appreciated, was one the jackets I was looking at or possibly the stormland. I'm sure the big lad is made up sleeping by your side, I think unless you're an animal person a lot of people won't understand but there such a big part of the family.
So sorry for your loss I had to have one of my collies put to sleep 6 weeks ago she had a stroke still upset & her sister is looking for her all the time 🐶. As for the gsa ordered mine two weeks ago, triple black with the lowering gadget ect . The one I test rode was a lot quieter than yours sounds in the video though .
Sorry for your loss too, my big boy isn't bothered that his sister is not around! Very good choice in getting the lowering thing, it's going to save many a rider. Enjoy 👍
Careful pushing that thing round; after your recent surgery 😬 How’s your G/Shepherd doing, after the recent passing of your other GS? Great review as always BTW 👏🏻
Hearts great....blasting the gym,Milo my other GSD is fine, he isn't too bothered TBH, although we have allowed him to sleep in our bedroom next to me on the floor.
Hi, not a fan really of the ASA but I could see it being useful if you went off road etc as it would mean you are less likely to stall and then drop the bike.
Firstly, so sorry for the loss of one of your Dogs, gut wrenching I know. Did enjoy your review though, in stature I'm similar 5 feet ten inches with a 32 inch inseam, I currently own a low chassis 1250 GSA, the bike previous to that was a full height 1250 GSA, not being able to flat foot it made me nervous. two months ago I did order a TE 1300 GSA with the comfort version of the auto height adjust suspension, at standstill goes down to a 820mm seat height with the normal comfort seat, so I can flat foot with a bent knee. Added the ASA system have a bit of arthritis in my left wrist, plus a few more bells and whistles and full luggage 27k. Still you're only hear once. Thank you.
My local dealership has one on display with ALL the luggage attached...It's a beast and expensive, and I thought my 1250GS was pricey. I'm worried about what they will do to the RS1300 when it comes out as I now own the 1250 version. Maybe they will give us backlit switch gear this time around.
GSD over GSA always! So with this fancy new model, what happens if you want to replace the hand guards (built in indicators??) with more substantial hand/lever protection, like Barkbusters? Or if the bike tips and damages a mirror with blind spot indicator? $$$$$$ Or if you want to replace the $$$$$ blind spot mirrors with Double Take mirrors? Think I'll go for an extended warranty for my 1250 when the time comes. Good review 👍
Do you think it’s a tall bike?😂 I think BMW did a great marketing job with those initial photographs of the GSA. They were not very flattering of the bike, but they did their job and got everyone talking about it. I too thought the bike on the photos was horrendous, but having seen it in the flesh, I actually like it very much. I recently enquired about how much it would cost to change my 2 year old GSA. After I got up from the floor, I realised I loved my current GSA too much to let it go at this stage. I am sure one day I will change and the new GSA looks to be a very good contender. Great review by the way, and I understand a few things a little more clearly.
Thanks for the review. Being a 1250GSA rider, i still find this 1300 butt ugly. The front lights section, the Lego look, the very ugly pannier carrying setup. Someone at BMW must have been very drunk to design this ugly thing..
I simply can't get around the looks, it's hideous 😥 These new looking GS's brings my GS ownership to an end 💔 My local dealer was telling me that they are selling well to non GS owners so they are bringing in new customers. Sorry about your loss 🐕

Thanks, yes they great companions and I miss my 8 year old very much, her brother doesn't seem to be bothered!
Ah mate great video. My heart goes out to you and your family regarding your huge loss. We were in that boat last April, completely get it.
Gsd every time 😍
I’m still trying to come to grips on if I like the new headlight design. It’s just very polarizing.
It's hideous looking, I too am hoping it will grow on me but as yet, nothing ;-)
I'm sticking with my 1250.
@gsd32i I will for a while. I have a 22 TB with 40k on it. I'll think about an upgrade when I hit 80-100k. 😉

Thanks and enjoy the new machine .
Great video as usual, wondering what jacket your using at the minute as looking for some new clobber.
Good review. I love the GSA but for me and where I going for is the new GS.
I just want them to do an M1300GS and then I'm in and may swap my 1250. My bladder wont last 380 miles anyway so I don't need the GSA!

I loved my GSDs too. Heartbreaking; so sorry for you

Very nice review. I do think the ASA would have been a much smoother ride and not so "clunky". Thank you for your review.

Thanks, the enduro kit(£££) does away with this and gibes you small indicators like the 1250's.
GSD = German Shepherd Dog
I’m certain the 1300 GSA is an outstanding bike. I just can’t get past the hideous looks.
😂

Thanks, I think few folks will be keeping their old GSA's for the foreseeable and not swapping . 👍
this is my dream bike please help me buy this bike
I would love to know why so many influencers are promoting this bike?
At least your GSD can go out in the rain without total failure.
Great in depth road test. Shame the engine sounds like a cement mixer.😢
😂
