Thank you so much for giving the explanations behind each type of brush and comb. Most of us never realize how important these choices can be for our furry pal’s coat.
Suzanne I never realized any of this was important until I started watching you over a year ago. Yappy hour was the best. You taught me so much and for that I’ll be forever grateful Thank You 😊
This video is super informative. You gave me all the reasons why you choose which tool for what kind of hair. THANK YOU so much 🥰 and my dogs will love you too 🐕🐾
Excellent video packed with valuable information! Thank you for sharing such an awesome video with us, Suzanne! You covered the home care routine needed for all pet types and stages of hair growth.
Suzanne, this is Patsy Cline. Please tell me the difference between a carding knife and a stripping knife. How are each used and for what purpose - differentiating between the two. Thank you! 💖💐
They both remove dead hair. One is used on double coated dogs and the other on wire-haired breeds. The Stripping knives basically come in course, med. and fine. The course removes the hard thick guard hair on the jacket, the medium does good on the leg, belly, and longer facial hair, as it is softer, the fine is good for the areas kept close (flat work) and ears. If you use the course knife on the softer hair, it would not be very effective. If you used the medium knife on the jacket where the most course hair is, it would cut the hair instead of pulling it. The carding knives arte designed to remove soft undercoat. ruclips.net/video/t2jxSCZz9Is/видео.html grandestylepet.com/blogs/f/how-i-hand-strip-wire-coated-dogs-and-pet-parent-homework
@@grandestyledoggrooming I’ve just ordered my Artero long slicker, and they do a small long gentle slicker too for the smaller areas. Really hoping they help with my bolo. I was so interested to see how the Chris Christensen big G got lodged in the bischons hair and the Artero went through smoothly. I hope it helps with my grooming. I’m new to your channel so just beginning to see your videos. I’m loving your calmness around the dogs and how practical and helpful you are with your tips. Thank you so much for making these things accessible to us Pet parents 😊
Thank you for this very informative video, Suzanne! I have a shih tzu mix and am looking for a brush for her. She hates the one I‘m using now, esp. on her legs where matts/tangles tend to form.
Thank you for the information. I have an almost 3 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier and Beagle mix. What brush would be best to deshed her? I have a zoom groom and a wire brush. But it seems like she doesn't stop shedding. Her vet says she's healthy she's just a shedder. Any advice would be helpful.
It depends on the length of the coat. Under 2 inches long an Artero flexible slicker, an Artero universal slicker and a Chris Christensen BUTTERCOMB 000 is what I would consider.

Great video. What do you recommend for a shichon? (Half shitzu and half bischon) she has a silky but also part wire (down the spine) coat.
I recommend the Artero Flexible Slicker or the Paw Brothers Flexible Slicker.
Absolutely love your channel. We’re getting a Coton puppy next year so this is incredibly helpful for us to prepare for our baby 🥰

Can you post a link to the tools you used on the first dog in the video please?

Hello everyone.
What is/are the right brush/es for a poodle bichon mix (88% poodle)?
It depends on the length of the coat. Under 2 inches long an Artero flexible slicker, an Artero universal slicker and a Chris Christensen BUTTERCOMB 000 is what I would consider.
What are the right brushes and combs for a havanese? I plan to keep her in a short puppy cut once she is old enough to be groomed.
Great info. What do you use for static while grooming?
❤👍
Thank you for the very informative video!
