J'espère avoir acheté les bonnes brosses christensen pour mon chiot sheepadoodle. Il y a 6 mois et c'est difficile de le brosser maintenant, contrairement à avant. Je viens de vous découvrir . Wow ! Vous donnez d'excellentes explications. Merci beaucoup.

I'm not a groomer or trainer. Just a guy wanting to take good care of my dog without hurting her or making her uncomfortable. What should I use to brush a miniature American Eskimo? It sounds like a slicker with cushioning under the pins would be the most gentle? I have a cheap slicker brush with less than 1/2" pins and it doesn't get deep enough but I'm afraid to irritate or scratch the skin.

I would try the Big K Slicker in medium. Round ground pins and gentle on the skin. It will do a great job

so is this what i would use on my golden retreiver to keep his coat straight and keep it from looking so disheveled? or is the purpose on a golden retriever just to reduce the shedding
seemed like no matter what groomer i took him to, the hair on top of his back by his butt always had a mind of its own and went everywhere and wasn't "showdog quality". is that just because combing him needs to be a regular thing with a brush like this?

Im always confused about slicker brushes 🙈 I have an English cocker spaniel, is a slicker suitable for her coat? She has fine long hair (lots of it), and is prone to mattes. I’m a pro at getting the mattes out with detangling spray and a detangling brush.. very gentle and effective. But would a slicker benefit me and her more?

I’d love to see a grooming session for Corgis. I’d even pay for it. Not a lot out there on my breed. I know some things are general but breed specific is always nice! ☺️

Our corgi sheds year round no matter how much I groom him. I'm surprised he has hair on his body 😂 I feel like more hair comes off him then our Chows.

My dog has always hated grooming because she feels like the brushing motion pulls her skin. Even when my Sheltie was a puppy with a minimal coat, she still complained. She’s just grown more and more sensitive. I have only Chris Christensen brushes with the exception of one small (soft feeling) slicker brush. I literally need to pinch her fur by her skin till her fur has no resistance. Uggh! It takes me hours to brush her! 🤦🏻‍♀️

    Best brush for a Samoyed?

  • @BenBreeg1138

I'm confused how to use this. We just got the Christiansen slicker for our doodle with a poodle-type coat. He doesn't love getting brushed so we thought this would be better. It basically immediately stops. This is not a matted coat at all. No way I am going to force this thing through his coat.

I got it for my collie and I just start shallow at first or line brush very slowly. It is fabulous at pulling the undercoat. I guess for a poodle you don't need that.
