Thank you Kitty, what a clear explanation. Very helpful, I have 6 brushes, all fine, also from show tech, the pink one and the blue one. I also have one from activet, the green one, which is not a fine brush. Then I have two from artero, with wood, for when she is thicker in her coat, but a few weeks ago I bought Yento's show coat brush from you. She never has any tangles, or it has to be a very small one. I bought the medium first, I haven't regretted for a minute what a fine soft brush! They make the coat very nice and soft, take out the loose hairs well and the coat becomes very soft and smooth, later on I bought the L for her body and the small armpit brush, in a word great! I trimmed this week and with blowdrying it makes the coat nice and fluffy, really my best purchase in ages. I always have several brushes with me, that way I always grab the right one when I am brushing, thanks again for this video.
Any thoughts on the quality or differences between the Les Poochs red dematting brush, Flex It dematting purple or red brush, master Grooming extra firm blue brush, Artero naturals wooden pin brush? Some of these brushes are so expensive & just want to get the best option. This is for a CKCS with a very heavy undercoat which mats easily. Its been tougher to maintain her beautiful coat after she had an operation which threw her hormonal balance off, I found regular tools aren't able to handle the job efficiently or as comfortably for her. Thank you for any suggestions! 🤍
Hi @Vexx_Line_, For a CKCS with a heavy undercoat, the Les Poochs Red Dematting Brush is the best option for severe mats-effective yet gentle, though pricey. The Flex It Red Brush is a great, more affordable alternative for heavy coats. The Master Grooming Blue Brush is budget-friendly but less effective for tough mats, while the Artero Wooden Pin Brush is better for daily maintenance than heavy dematting. For best results, pair your brush with a good detangling spray and groom regularly to prevent matting.
Thank you so much for this information. I just ordered a CC Karben for my new Bedlington puppy. I’m glad to find out that I’ve made a good choice.
thank you for your feedback !
What about curved vs flat pad?
