I loved seeing this video and your idea for mating the Two Cup POT and the BOIL-N-BREW together in BRILLIANT. I own them both and never thought of it being a match. I do have and use the additional Ozarks Trail 30oz plastic lid. Works flawlessly for using the Two Cup POT as a sip mug , yep, got that idea from James at Way Point. I found that the YETI Rambler MAGSLIDER LID also fits if one resource is out of stock when you need it 👍.
Thank you so much Pamela for tuning in and watching the video I'm glad it was helpful! I hope the new found nesting combination can be useful to you in your travels!
Excellent presentation and very cool and useful hack. Thanks for sharing. I just found your channel while looking for Stanley cook set hacks. I'm also a fan and subscriber to Way Point Survival, I've been a subscriber to James' channel for years, great guy and great videos. Subbing to your channel also.
Great Idea. I am so glad I found Your Video! I do love Waypoint's videos too. This just gives it all and Additional Element that looks great! Awsome job coming up with this!!!!
Thank you for taking the time to check out the video and for leaving some love!! This was my first video.. please feel free to check out the other handful of more recent videos too!
What about the stanley pour over filter would that happen to fit with slight modifications? Ive had the stanley boil and brew for 2 years now and your setup up with a Stanley pour over would be a perfect combination!
I use the Stanley two cup cook set and the 17 ounce Stanley boil and brew. I like using the Stanley two cup cook set (minus the two cups) because it holds more than the cup for the Stanley boil and brew.
Nice. I was thing it would be nice to make some spaghetti. I think this cook set would be awesome for that. you might throw a sponge or a wash rag with this kit to take out the rattle.
All of my percolators (I have several) have a dome over the stem to allow for the rise and fall of the water to drip over the coffee grounds. Have you perked any coffee with that Stanley lid placed over the perking coffee?
Yes I have percolated coffee using this setup. It worked well even though the shape of the lid is not traditional. I have recently started using a new Stanley kit I put together using the Stanley Mountain series kit. By far my favorite setup so far!
Thank you for watching! I hope it helped you in some way! I have invested in a few more gear items recently and hope to test and do some reviews on them!
Thank you for your response Aaron! The percolator mod may not be right for everyone, but I wanted to at least demonstrate another possible option that reduces a little more weight off the kit.
@@cnybanditoutdoors no i get that . See i want that french press and was not concitering the other set. You have given me something to think about. On that . I had not considered them nesting and given a complete coffee set.
I don't know why people do videos where they start out saying "this is the first time." I use and have for several years use my Stanley pot as a French press.
It's giving fair warning that I am probably going to make a mess of a video and may need a little grace extended 😆😆😆. Thanks for checking out the channel!
While I like my coffee press, the Stanley Boil and Brew French Press is just too large to consider for anything other than car camping. I don't want to bring extra kit just because it fits, is new, or different. The Stanley Adventure pot works best with the Walmart stainless steel cup. Leave the green cups at home. The pot lid fits the Walmart cup for a second smaller pot if needed. The larger pot will fit two gas canisters (remove the plastic caps and insert them upside down), a BRS3000 stove, a mini bic lighter, and a small sponge. It makes a tight small bundle that fits in your molly bag with utensils and a windscreen. Sorry! You obviously gave this a lot of thought, but it seems that you are taking a well-known working system and made it unnecessarily complicated.
@@Sirrehpotsirch thank you for taking the time to watch! I do appreciate the input. This is an old video... One of the first I ever posted here on the channel. My entire kit has since changed and morphed now utilizing the Stanley Mountain Series compact cookset. Again I do greatly appreciate your input! 💜
I do agree that French press cleaning is a pain. I would probably bring the French press if making coffee for two or more. But when I am by myself I have an updated kit with a collapsible pour over filter. Thanks for tuning in!
Absolutely waypoint survival does do a lot of hacks on that Stanley 2 cup cook set I've done a few modifications to mine for bail handle on it change the plastic table out added a much bigger cup than what he puts on his what's the role up grill
Thanks for checking in and leaving a comment. You mentioned a roll up grill at the end of your comment?? Not sure what that was in reference to exactly. Look forward to answering a question if I can.
Waypoint survival did a hack on the Stanley cup cook kit to where he made a roll-up grill out of skewers any chain I'm not sure what number heck that was you'll have to look through his videos of the hacks but you make it the way he does it's a nice little grill it fits perfectly in the bag you know that Condor bag or if you go to self-reliance outfitters and get their stainless steel water bottle it comes with a bigger cup tolerance about 64 Oz in the bag that it comes in the grill the roll-up grill you make it right it's right in there perfectly so look up waypoint survival and look up his hacks on the Stanley cup I'm not sure what number it is he's got one out there where he makes a roll up grill to go with that God bless I like your videos
Genius adaptation(s)! The Stanley Cup is an incredible piece of gear with an endless (it seems) number of hacks & yses. Well done!
Thank you!

Well done CNY Bandit! I like it a lot!

At long last, my questions are answered! The larger one fits the Gen 3 bag, and the two nest together! Thanks for sharing!

Nice !! Smooth video and curious if you'd put a kit like that together for us non hackers to sell?
Really smart hack and video. Keep the hacks coming.

Excellent suggestion! I have since tried to add a cloth bandana to each of my kits to help with sound!
Excellent...i just bought me a press set and love this mod!...well HACK
Excellent! Thank you for your view and comment!
Wonder if you could grind down one of the plastic cups so they could fit with that lid...
If you use the hack to make the two green cups in to four cups, it should work.

Nicely done, but I'll keep my old fire percolator that I store my coffee stuff in using ziplock bags.
The old percolators are solid pieces of gear. We use one regularly at our cabin in the Adirondacks
Red , entertaining .

You had it right the first time. Throw that percolator away. Use the press. Put you plastic lid on and you got it made in the hunting shack.

I never use the green cups anyway. I’ve nested a lot of stuff to replace them
I have only used one of them once. I would carry them along if i was in a trip with more than just myself.
You should update this with the new Stanley green cup hack from WPS, to add two cups to this cook set.
I will have to revisit some of those videos for sure! Thank You !
Add a nalgene backpacker, will nest too👌🏼
You just did free R&D for Coleman. Their next French Press will inevitably be collapsible

Does the small propane canister fit in the molded press?

Yes, the small gas canister will fit down inside of the molded press.
