This is NOT FAIR! I protest! What a beautiful, otherwordly, wonderful semi-circular shawl (I am not going to try to say THAT our loud! I have enough troube saying liloneum...linolea...no...linoleum!) in gorgeous colors and it's not FAIR!!!!! Here I was, happily pottering away on Sonder....and now I'm staring longingly at this week's gorgeousness!
Sighs and smiles. Unfair....but sooo pretty in those lily colors....Sighs again....

our belongings yeah but God is good all the time , he’s Faithful n he’ll never leave us nor forsake us , we’re just great full for
a few good people , friends that he has brought in our lives as well “ besides family

Thanks for that pm hair ties. I find the plastic ones very expensive for what you get. I make my own pretty special ones myself but lately I have added them to my zips on project bags!! Gorgeous dragonflies dangling down is so pretty. I can’t wear earrings at all not even gold so I use pretty earrings as markers too. I am planning to knit this beautiful shawl once I have saved some money as the postage from the states to Australia is going to be so expensive? Am I right in thinking that Chandi? Hugs again

So, I have 4 skeins of Devoted ‘OASIS’ fingering yarn that I want to practice this pattern with. Is it the same weight as the fingering yarn you use here? I’m just wondering because I don’t know if it’s a finer (thinner) yarn and if i need to drop a needle size. I like to do a practice run as I’m just getting into an intermediate level and this looks amazing! I also ordered Lilo Hues Luster Sport Kit; would that be usable for this pattern? Would I need to change needle size?
You could definitely use the oasis fingering to get the same gauge as the pearlescent fingering. They are the same weight. If you were to use the Lilo hues, I would definitely do a gauge swatch to see if you would need to switch needle sizes. I hope this helps!
@@ExpressionFiberArts Chandi, I just got my LILO kit and OH MY GOODNESS. I have friends who say “you’re crazy for spending that much on yarn,” but you know what? I don’t think it is overpriced for the quality of the product - you clearly put a LOT of time and care into these yarns! They are GORGEOUS and I think they would look AWESOME with this pattern! Thanks so much for answering! I’m not in any rush, so no worries if you don’t respond in a snap! These videos also REALLY help me! Hi there! I’ve been working on this shawl, and I’m wondering if I’m missing something or misreading it. By the time I get to section B, after the first row, where it has [150] at the end... I count my stitches and I usually have way more than it says. Is the number in the bracket the total of number of stitches you should have, or how many you’ve added? I’m following the directions carefully, so I don’t know how I would end up with so many stitches if 150 is the total.

Anne, that was a mistake. Here is the correct Row 3: With color A, K3, sm, (yo, k2tog) rep to m, sm, k3.

Help! I am ready to start section B of this pattern, BUT, it says to "carry unused yarn up side of work. Work all WS rows with same color as previous RS row." I can find videos on how to add a ball of yarn and videos on how to carry the yarn up the work, but nothing that shows how to do BOTH. All the "add a ball" videos don't show how to carry Color #1, they all want me to cut the yarn or do a Russian join (?). I'm excited that I got Section A completed with only having to tink it back a row twice! Can you point me to a video that shows how to not only add the 2nd yarn, but keep carry the first one as well? Thank you!

I normally don't have a problem with reading patterns, but I can't figure out if this means to just (yo, k2tog) once and just purl to the next marker, OR is it to do the stitch sequence of yo, K2tog p multiple times to the next marker.

@@ExpressionFiberArts I'm now on Section C Row 5 - am I reading this correctly? YO, SK2PO, YO, K3 all the way to the last 5 stitches, then YO, SK2PO, YO, then K2, SM, K3. Also, My Section B looks like a garter stitch because all the rows were purled. Is that correct? I'm just thrilled that I've learned two new things with this pattern so far - the garter tab cast-on and carrying yarn up the side! Thank you!
