    Love learning the history behind that beautiful shawl . I enjoy history as a rule , combining it with fiber takes it to the next level 🤩
    I am definitely putting a Faroese on my bucket list .

    This was very interesting. Thanks for sharing. My husband was stationed in Iceland we were there for two years with our baby son. I have never heard of that Island. Have a great Yarney day 🤗🧶

      You are so welcome! The pattern that I made is no longer available. But the Elizabeth shawl in the book looks very similar.

    Isn't it fascinating all the different techniques that are used around the world.
    I love this shape reminds me of a bat. Is it all made in one piece (apart from the border) I love the way the arrows go in different directions.

      Hi Jane. It is all knit in one piece except the edging. It looks complicated, but it really wasn't a hard pattern. Cricket was sitting just above shawl when I laid it on the kitchen floor to take the picture. I kept her out of the photo...I was afraid she was eyeing it up to go lay down on.

    I can’t find a pattern for Farnese shawls. Maybe later.
