    The bulkier yarn will make a wonderful winter shawl or (like said) a poncho with two shawls sewn together. Thank you Kristin for going over your pattern.

    Thank you for the pattern. Hello, I am trying to create this. Why does Row 22 end of "Fasten off"?

  • @paulalyon6044

    This is probably the most beautiful and elegant shawl I have seen, to bad I crochet, and not knit. Is it possible to make a crochet version of this pattern, or a least close to it?

    • @KristinOmdahl

    I got the pattern but cant understand how I always end up with far too many stiches. What am I doing wrong?
    Stunningly Beautiful shawl!
    I am extremely eager to get this right.
    It's my first ever lace knitting.
    Thanks Kristin.

      I am happy to assist you if I can. But could you please be more specific with your question? Is there a specific row or stitch you are having trouble understanding?

    • @ishya5657
      @ishya5657 2 года назад

      Hi Kristin,
      Sorry, I do get very confused! I will try to explain in more detail. It's the rows that states k1, sm k1, yo, to last st.
      I end up with 10sts more when knitting the 3rd row. Thank you!

  • @N332
    @N332 2 года назад +1

    It's beautiful! I need some help with the bind off though
    Do you have a tutorial explaining- Picot bind off as follows: *Kco 3, bo 6. Rep from * across. Fasten off.?

    • @KristinOmdahl
      @KristinOmdahl  2 года назад

      Yes I have several videos on picot bind off and it is explained in the pattern. If you want to mirror the picot at the beginning of the row, do one final KCO 3 and then bind off all rem sts. Yes fasten off.

    • @N332

    Are you knitting the YO through the front or back loops?

    • @KristinOmdahl
      @KristinOmdahl  Год назад

      Most often I knit through the front loop. Unless the yarn over is placed on the needles wrong (for example after unraveling a mistake).

  • @sinrenfield
    @sinrenfield 7 месяцев назад

    I know this is an old video but.. what do you do with the markers on row 2? You don't mention them and just say to purl across, but i mean, dont they need to also "slip" over to the other side as you go? It mentions them specifically in this video and the written pattern on some rows but not others. Also, why does the end of row 22 say to "fasten off" on the written pattern? Because you don't fasten off here.
