My puppps is cured!!! I started itching and bumps formed about 2 weeks ago. I started Claritin and Pepcid once in the morning, drank a glass of lemon water, ate a banana with overnight Mush brand oats, for snacks I had 2 apples, and drank cherry juice at night. My puppps are gone 3 days later. Thank you so much!
Thank you for sharing! I started the regime today, so I hope it will work. Meanwhile, for all the suffering ladies at the moment like me, I found a spray Eucerin Atopicontrol Anti-itch which claims to reduce the itching up to 6hours. It is for atopic dermatitis and psoriasis but to me it is the best from all I have tried up to now. It gave me today a relieve for few hours without the crazy scratching.
I did go back yes! I never got very itchy again, but I think it crept back little bits and I'd just cut down sugar for a few days and take the Claritin Pepcid combo, to nip it in the bud. I didn't want to disturb my family's routine so I don't think I did anything very different for lunches or dinners. Most of my processed food consumption is in snack foods! 😬
Ohhh girl I hope this helps. I'm so miserable at 26 weeks with puppps. It's one of the worst and most uncomfortable things I have ever had to deal with.
It's my first pregnancy..Rash and itching started with me at about 33 weeks & it progressed so rapidly. It began at my belly then spread into my entire body now 💔 I have tried many of antihistaminic drugs.. I have to take a cold shower twice or 3 times a day.. But unfortunately it's still so sever & miserable.. It make me unable to sleep well🤦🏻♀.. I'm now on my 37 week & waiting time of labor hoping this nightmare will be gone then 🙏🏻
I had PUPPP rash at 35 weeks on my 3rd pregnancy with a baby boy. I was taking insulin for my gestational diabetes at the time. I think it had something to do with it. I got the rash after one week of insulin. The rash didn’t go away after pregnancy. It’s been two years now and I still get itchy and irritated skin. The only medicine that worked was Xycal. I still take it everyday. I am now 31 weeks pregnant and I am hoping it doesn’t come back. I take Xycal when I feel an itch and it goes away right away. I am having another boy at this 4th pregnancy and also have gestational diabetes. I refused to take insulin or any meds for it since I am managing it through diet alone. So I can’t have any of those fruit juices. I found an article about Mast Cell and I don’t know if it’s related but it’s similar symptoms. Since no one knows why PUPPP rash exist at this moment.
Omg I think this is what I have for the last 2-3 weeks. I’m already 38 weeks. And I was prescribed something for scabies since it itch more at night but it did not worked. I tried something for fungus and it got better but is not gone. I am trying vinegar and it helps but I still have it. I know this is what I have it looks like it and those are my symptoms. Thank you for your video.
Thank you for this. Mine started as early as 20 weeks and worse now on my 29th week. Im taking an h1 blocker and been researching for a good diet. Il definitely try the lemon water, v8, black cherry juice and the dandelion tea. Hoping i can find those here in the Philippines. Im on my 2nd day of use of the pine tar soap and hoping mine will be all gone soonest after trying your tips. Thank you very much!
Do you think this diet can help prevent PUPPPs? I had it at 32 weeks with my first (all over my body) and now I’m at 22 weeks with my second and have not gotten it yet. I do have small patches on my elbows (but I think that’s psoriasis since I used to get that before pregnancy). I’m terrified of getting it again and trying to be preventative as much as possible. Lemon water, celery juice, apples, dates and cherry juice helped me manage the first time so I’m starting on that regimen.
I'm glad to hear diet changes worked last time! They worked for me too, and relatively quickly, so after overcoming it once, I feel confident I'd be equipped to tackle it again if I had to, so I don't worry about it a lot. They say you're not supposed to be likely to get it again with subsequent pregnancies, so honestly I'd try not to worry, and I definitely wouldn't be spending the money some of these things cost if I didn't have to. I went through a third pregnancy since the one I talked about in this video, and never dealt with PUPPS again. If I ever felt any worrying itching, I'd just cut back on the sugar and processed foods for a day or two. I took it as a gentle personal reminder to take care of myself rather than anything to really be worried about. I hope that gives you some peace of mind. Congratulations on the healthy pregnancy! 💞
@@GanchiPlans thank you so much!! I still have nightmares about the first time so you could imagine my concern. But yes, I definitely feel better equipped this time 🙏🏽
I started on 10 weeks. I feel horrible 😞 itchy on my legs, arms and stomach. I take oatmeal bath and use oatmeal creams. Night time I have to take Benadryl to try to get some sleep. Is driving me nuts.
Mine started right after my C-Section. I also talked to my Ob but he had no clue so it's been over a year and I still get it. I am currently pregnant again and I just start searching about it and found out it's a common thing but I am very worried about the whole thing and I need to talk to my doctor. 😩
Just want to say thank you!!! I was miserable a few weeks ago, up at the late hours of the night trying to find a cure for my pupp rash, fast forward a couple weeks of drinking cherry juice and lemon water in the morning im only itchy on my belly (normal for 38 weeks)
Did it just go away on its own? Did it get worse and then better? That must have been so frustrating knowing that there was no cure left if baby was already out!
So I had the rash from hell with my first pregnancy almost 10 years ago...nothing helped and i finally begged my doctor to induce me early which ended in an emergency csection only to have the rash for 2 weeks postpartum. Subsequent pregnancies no rash until now being pregnant with my 5th and at 36 weeks i think it may be back😢. Starting some of these things asap to hopefully not be in complete misery the rest of pregnancy. Will update with results!
Please do update if you see results! I am so grateful for the videos on RUclips that pointed me towards some of these remedies. My aunt had it 50 years ago and got very little help or relief. I don't think PUPPS gets studied much for the same reasons as anything to do with pregnancy, so the doctor's conventional wisdom is so lacking. But when you're dealing with the constant itching, you just want to be DOING anything you can think of to make it stop! Best of luck!
Had to see a dermatologist to get on medication. My drs and midwife had never seen a worse case. Wasn't what I wanted to do but I couldn't deal with the itching.
11:06 to get straight to the point

I am so glad to hear this! What a result! M curious, is this your first time having puppps? How many weeks along were you at onset?
Can PUPPP go away before delivery ? I'm confused ! :x
Anecdotally, yes. Though it seems that science doesn't know that much about what causes it.
My pharmacist said Pepcid is not recommended for pregnancy, is that true?
My Google search is saying Pepcid is considered safe for pregnancy, but listen to your own medical professionals.

Did you end up continuing dairy once your skin cleared up? And what did you eat for lunch and dinner during your dieting?

In so sorry! Does the benadryl help you sleep? When I had it with my first, the benadryl didn't even touch it

Is it okay i take antihistamine if im still 12 weeks pregnant my OB reccomend me an atihistamine
I'd always recommend your doctor's advice
Most antihistamines are safe in pregnancy
What medications can i take that are allowed to breastfeed with?
I would consult a doctor for that one, or at least lactmed

That's amazing! I'm so glad you were able to find some relief. 💕 Best of luck for a speedy delivery!
Two bananas a day helped my leg cramps much more than just one. I haven’t had any issues when I eat two a day!
Is there a difference between puppps and postpartum hives?
I got a rash right after birth and a week later it’s still raging strong. What is it?
Ooh, I don't know about that. I know PUPPS can persist a while post partum... Maybe email your OB? Congrats on the little one! ❤️
I had postpartum puppps for about 6 to 8 weeks.
Did it just go away on its own? Did it get worse and then better? That must have been so frustrating knowing that there was no cure left if baby was already out!
Hi,
Do you dilute the black cherry juice?!
Thanks
I didn't. You certainly could. I found it to taste pretty nice chilled, and I didn't drink very much of it at a time.
So you drank 8oz over a few hours once a day ? Just making sure I'm not overdoing it. Thank you lovely!
Nah just in one glass once a day. 8 oz isn't much

16 wks completed and I have rashes and itching is severe in night.

It’s been 6 months since I gave birth and the spots are still on my skin. No itching

Had to see a dermatologist to get on medication. My drs and midwife had never seen a worse case. Wasn't what I wanted to do but I couldn't deal with the itching.
