Hi. Shearling good video as always good to see you in my home town area and funny watching you drive on the left always see you driving on the right. Ha ha keep safe drive safe
Nice to speak about jemna ,she is a great worker like your self .only thing I worry about was the dust ect from the tipper work jemma was doing getting in to your lungs .might not catch up till later on in life ,as I have seen it happen to a few .
Nice shout out to Jemma! I have followed her for a while now. She's a trooper and will do well in her new venture..Nice to see you driving in your "natural habitat" (UK)
Hi Sheralin, there's a Channel called truck archive ,trucking in NZ some really good stuff one called the long lap .I know you would enjoy . Cheers Gavin.
Jemma is indeed a lovely lady and I for one am looking forward to seeing her again when she is able to restart her vlogs. I do love watching her other lorry interest when she drives the carnival carts at the Somerset Carnivals. Well worth the journey to see what is a free show during the darker months of the year!
Lovely shout out for Jemma, I follow her as well.💖💖 Always plenty of people to help, just gives you more things to watch out for, but their hearts are in the right place. 😂😂 You really couldn't tell your commentary was through gritted teeth. 🤣🤣Maybe I'm being harsh but the analogy of Chiefs and Indians comes to mind.😆😆 Nice that you can get a laugh with them, though. Thanks again for a really interesting video. I love all the ones you post, but for some reason I enjoy the yard work best. Safe journeys.
Your regulars will always back a lady HGV driver because of the difficulties they do still encounter. But remember, there are always better people out there ready to give encouragement where it is due. Keep on trucking Gemma and keep up the great vids. 😁👍
That was a surprise, I grew up in that area and did my cycling proficiency test in the school across the road from the depot you delivered at. Not been back for 40 years! Many thanks.
“Yellow splodge over there” : that’s another railway first for you. It’s a turntable used to swing wagons through 90 degrees, linking between the tracks in the shed and the track you manoeuvred onto in reverse to unload. If you’re lucky you may be tasked to collect one (or more) of the Schoma Locos you saw in Ruislip depot - they’re being sold and will have to go out on trailers via the loading dock which you visited a while ago.
I drive a 1999 BMW E38 Its lush and well known in manchester city centre its peppermint greenwith white leather . its been on a lorry many times ,but then it gets fixed and i love it .
newton heath loco sheds been there and other railway property for loads and deliveries plus i get a lot of jobs with alstom at longsight and other places in uk and europe just new parts plus i have found out melons in a freezer can be a problem when they put them in your trailor they are rock hard but by the time you get to deliver they have defrosted and can be a right mess to clean up after
My neck of the woods, although not Newton Heath. Looks like the main road with all the traffic would be Oldham Road (Manchester to Oldham). There's a parellel road that runs from Manchester to Rochdale, and that is, obviously, Rochdale Road🤣. Not many people know this, but Newton Heath was where the home ground of Manchester United used to be decades ago, before moving to Old Trafford, which is on the opposite side of Manchester city to where you are now.
Cheralyn, trust you're well. Can't get over the fact you road the trains. I'm sorry I could not help you further at the time because I retired from the sea almost forty years ago to build a house. I have a few things going., My father only ever asked one thing , stay away from trucks . He had a few and died early. Even then we used to travel in and out of Perth in darkness or early in the morning. An old friend would have made you the belle of the ball and shown you around town. Fixed you up on a road train. He's gone. In N.Z. you will find their trucks are a part of the family and treated as such. Here everything has to earn its keep and they roll around the clock fully laden. To be honest I was afraid one day you will go to the office for the gold watch and walk out the door same as you walked in without seeing another side of the industry. It happens. Best wishes, good luck, stay safe.Try Pritchard Steamer U-tube.Still the best after 50 yrs.. I always hoped I'd live long enough to see them powering road trains burning high flashpoint fuel. It won't happen. I tell young people get out of this country fast.

Thanks for the info. I expect the locos you speak of will be moved on a low loader, probably specialist work. 😁
