Beat?! There’s not a competitive bone in my body 🤷🏼♀️I’m sure a million others have been to all the places I’ve been to, after all I don’t do anything that every other driver does, every day, day in day out, I just video it and try to help others along the way. 😁
Happy new year, not a lot has changed with the police, before plastic became the norm we use to have running money, they knew that. A lot of on the spot fines found their way into back pockets because there were no receipts. The pack house you loaded at is a popular one The Breeze recently added a video of himself loading there, May 2024 be a year of Fair seas and following winds.
I love Romanesco, non of the regular supermarket sell it. I know what your saying about sleeping during the day. I have just retired at 70 after 49yrs of night trunking. Thats why i am watching at this time of the day. Body clocks buggered.
Happy new year, the cop thing was well explained,26 years ago in germany had to pay 600dm to leave the country, then had a german advocate fight for me in court later the bond covered the fine i got. Keep up good work.❤
hai i am very happy to see your videos. i love your videos i can't stop watching your videos when I was start watching. Because I am also one truck driver. i totally enjoy your videos of your driving and making. I'm so much interested to come to UK on truck driving basis. can you please assist me how to get truck driving jobs in UK
Love your channel and slowly working my way through all your videos as I love the content of Spain and how you structure them. The info you give is so helpful so thank you for that 👏 I’m originally from Birmingham but moved over to badsey so nice to see you driving through the village. You helped me last year in the port of Caen. Hope your well 🥰
The Hartwell name rattled something in my brain! There was G.R. Hartwell in Chipping Norton and Banbury that supplied Ferguson tractors in the 1940s/1950s. I "think" it was the same G.R. Hartwell/George Hartwell that was doing the same in Bournemouth but later became Rootes Group dealers. They are still running as Simon Hartwell selling Citroens.
Happy and safe coming year . Yes I loved night work. Few friends but very many via Ham radio. Common sense vital in life, the young guarda civil chap will have learned from you when he reflects. Another enjoyable video, thank you. Best regards, phil - Suffolk.
Happy New Year to you. Can't beat a bit of broccoli, full of iron, so watch out for magnets. 😂😂 99% of the time I can sympathise with the police, they have a tough job to do, but you are absolutely right some of them need a lesson in common sense. Is it because you were committing a serious criminal offence or do they have quotas to fill???? Glad you got your mum head on and gave him some motherly advice. 🤣🤣 Loved the Q and A you did and nice to hear a bit more about you, on this vid. You picked the perfect time for catching up with old friends. Safe journeys, all the best for 2024.
Good old Spanish plod making a crisis out of a drama. Never understood why it took the UK so long to capture Johnny Foreigner for his misdemeanours. Another trip down memory lane, thank you.
Happy New Year to you! May you have journeys this year that are always pleasant, enjoyable and safe! As for the romanesco veggie, it is a type of cauliflower and tastes somewhat similar. Easy to cook and looks good when presented on the dining table. I have in the past used it at Christmas time to make the dinner look a bit more special. Unfortunately, it is rarely sold where I now shop in rural Japan.
Small world I’ve just watched a Vlog by a driver at Broughton transport (The breeze) and he loaded out of the same pack house. Love your videos and happy new year.
Happy new year, drove down to Spain on the 4th Dec, keeping an eye out for you, then to see you had pick up a stones throw away we are in the alannia campsite in guardamar
However tempting it would be to get annoyed the best course of action with the spanish police is to agree. Think I'd insist on a card transaction though as it's trackable . Cash just disappears. Thanks as always for the uploads and all the best for the coming year.
Yes with all the DVSA type authorities in all the countries I’ve been in they have the same, computer equipped vehicles, which issue official printed documents including receipts.
Good morning Sheralin 😊 Happy new year 🥳 Love your Spanish road trips especially when you pass near by the Casa we owned in Sucina in the province of Murcia 🤩 Take care on your travels love Stevie xx
Happy new year sheralin , as always a brilliant watch , just a shame you got stopped by the police in Spain , most of us know what there like over there .xxx
Crickey you have more patience than me regarding that Spanish cop, what a total knob. Anyway best wishes for 24; many happy and safe km for you and look forward to the next vlogs.
Happy New Year Sheralin , thanks for all your videos of past year . I used to like to drive at night & sleep in the day when i was on the road. Take care & safe journeys
Just parked up myself something to watch happy new year to yourself Spires Hartwell know a lot them drivers from back in the day when doing the markets in London.which I did for 20 years and IDS LADS
Happy New year, great video as always, i can really understand your frustration with that interview on the side of the road with authorities I've been in similar situations and it's about your ability to cope, we always try to apply common sense and can't believe what's happening. stay safe and keep up the good work.
Great video again. Is there any reason you couldnt load say 6 pallets, close the split door, load the rest and run the 2 fridge units? Save you stripping the pallets?
Impressive throw and lumens off those full beams in the morning! Out of curiosity how dazzling are car full beams on the motorway? Occasionally I don't manage to change to dipped for a couple of seconds if I spot an HGV late on the motorway. I always wonder whether the higher cab position mitigates it. Nice row of Scanias at S&H 😎 I've been enjoying the Spain footage, the algorithm only just suggested your channel so I'll be looking forward to some France and NL drives if you do routes over there.
Thanks for watching. Yes high beam on cars is still dazzling, although we are higher in a lorry that doesn’t make any difference when take into account the distance. RUclips algorithms work in very strange ways 😂😂 There are some previous videos with France, Holland and Belgium in.
@@GBtrucklady thanks for confirming - I will continue to be vigilant re high beams. And I'll be sure to watch through some of your other videos this weekend :)
Happy new year Sheralin,Hopefully all your journeys to Spain are less aggro than this, from the Guardia that is.Do you ever get as far South as Motril or Málaga área where I live?
Thank you. Yes, should be heading that direction next week. Used to do a lot that way and into Gibraltar, in fact when Mrs Primark expanded into Spain, myself & a colleague delivered all the shop fixtures. The one into their Málaga store is memorable for all the wrong reasons! 🤦🏼♀️🤣😂 If you look at my older videos, you will see a couple where I went through the tunnel in Gibratar too.
Buen Viaje
Just doing catch-up. I've heard most of the moans about police in Europe and will have any excuse to pull lorry drivers up just to get fines. I feel sorry for you guys having this happen to you. Going by one lorry driver, he thinks Italy is the worst place for fines
Wow you hand a "discussion" with a GC. I have always said when encountering a stop my traffico just so yes sir no sir. And how high do you want me to jump. You done right you cannot film or identify any member of the security forces (all police forces etc) in Spain. Romanesco broccoli is for me not a great vegetable. I do not like broccoli that maybe the reason why. It looks like cauliflower but it has a very different taste. I like cauliflower. One day I will hopefully see a British yellow lorry on the the road. I hope that day you will be hind the wheel. I will then be famous on YouToobs
I think anyone who is in an “official” type job deserves respect, it’s not always easy to enforce the rules, this is why I blank identities sometimes. I know there is also a crime in Spain of “disrespect to the uniform”, that is a thing I would never do. I have 2 nephews in Australia who are policemen and I think it’s a very difficult job. They were polite, although just young a zealous. I think having a son of my own the same age helped me express myself without being angry or condescending. We have a saying, “ you can’t put an old head on young shoulder’s”, meaning, we all learn as we age and I have a little more age than them. 😁😂
The Spanish are racists and that is what most people that love their country do not know. Portuguese also are the same, it is really a cross between racism and being 'nationalists'.

Who pays the fine? Regards Howard from Cyprus
Depends what it’s for. This one the company paid as I’d done the right thing. If it was something like speeding, the driver pays. 😁
its ro-man-esco the vegetable its part of the calabrese family
It’s an interesting looking thing, I might give it a taste.
Foreign Police big dealing the shit out of nothing. Exactly why I never thought about doing Europe
How much time at home do you get.
It depends on the work. I’m home for my 45 hour break

For something like this yes but if was something like speeding they wouldn’t.
