Not much works below -25°C. If you put your hand on it for about 30 seconds it usually warms up enough to stick. But that is the red tape we use in Canada.
Dont know why the RUclips algorithm put your channel in my feed, but I'm so glad it did. Always makes me smile to see someone who is just like me, someone that does it right the first time. New subscriber, and I am looking forward to the next video.
I'm in Glasgow, Scotland. People here be = Snow outside = I'm stayin inside, phone work, can't come in today. Minus 25 C = everything has broken or burst and everyone will be dead because we shop daily & have no water or food. This Guy = just another day. Love it !
We used to have -25°C here at nights. Nowadays, barely getting -5, sadly. Though I'm from Hungary, which is way southern, but we had real winters with snow.
@@bzs187 The same for neighbouring Slovenia. There is some snow at times, but just a few centimeters and it's gone quickly. Used to be more snow indeed!
South of England here .... we haven't had REAL SNOW IN ABOUT 20 YEARS !! your also lucky to have light fluffy snow here we have cold we snow that sticks to everything !!
Mattias - great job. Your ability to handle a number of tasks and do them well despite the physical conditions facing you is commendable. Your videos are always interesting and enjoyable. Looking forward to the coming videos on completing your new garage.
Same work but different today. Took down scaffolding around my (growing) 8m Christmas spruce tree after pruning and installing the 230V chain light. With 600W light it's the best yard lighting you can get. Merry Christmas y'all ! 🎉
It’s going to be a nice workshop, I lived in norther Canada for quite awhile having a heated garage was a real benefit to making things livable , dark mostly except for 3 or 4 hours and minus 40 was commonplace same in F/C . Up for work at 5:30 get something to eat then put on insulated everything start the snow blower clean the driveway and the walks , change into work togs and drive to work , it’s dark driving home too you get used to it and the people up there are really wonderful everybody is friendly and helps out in the community. We are retired and live in the warm sunny South East of the USA I don’t miss the weather just the people up north.
Well, it was 43°here yesterday in the outskirts of Sydney's (Australia)western suburbs! .. I know where I wish I was,..yep,giving you a hand! I so hate this heat!!😊
Looking forward to the next episode… actually just looking forward to seeing anything you do. Definitely in my top five favourite channels 👍🏼 Cheers 🇦🇺
I'm impressed that your air nailer works on a cool day like that too. I have no doubt you could swing a hammer just fine, but after all the climbing up and down for the insulation I'm sure you've had your exercise for the day.
Very cool things you do and i enjoy watching your videos from Chicago Il, USA. Ok that spider must have been sleeping/hibernating in something, or you have some very tough spiders. Maybe it is the Artic Wolf Spider!
What the what.... Already a new video! Just as I drove to Sweden for some days in the cabin :) Glad the internet connection is strong enough here in the forrest 😃 Gonna cook some sausages and watch now 🤩
there's something about insulating that makes every build feel so much more cozy and complete! just insulated the floor of my little van and it makes such a difference :)
As others have mentioned, the effect you notice is largely a result of acoustic dampening. Put sheetrock over the insulation and the room will feel almost as bare due to the reflections.
Another brilliant video and year of varied quality content. Your opening scene was like something you'd see in a Bond movie. Wishing everyone a merry Christmas / Happy holidays
your channel is growing fast now(sub since 30k or so). and well deserved. really like this arctic build series. and the pizza kebab moments. keep it coming!
Man, I'd probably have broke down and invested in a sheet of plastic to cover the garage door opening and bought a diesel space heater from the beginning. Nice Job
You can't heat it up before it's isolated, you will get condensation on the wall when the hot and cold meets. When it freezes it's almost impossible to remove as long as it's cold outside.
heating with fuel burning heater, when there was no insulation, everything would be covered in a lot of condensation because of water vapour from combustion. even now there will be some condensation just a lot warmer than without insulation.
I really like your videos. You have a lot of skills that are necessary - working in the far North, cold and seemingly very isolated. Sorry about the plastic grill of your VW - too funny !
Ja de är mycket jobb med att bygga hus.. trodde aldrig ni skulle lyckas köra av liften med hjälp av pallarna där! Jag hade använt 4 meters bredd på byggplatsen så ni inte behövt skarva så mycket. Snyggt jobbat!! ❤
I think it would be cool to put a clock in some of the outdoor shots in the winter so we can get an idea of what time of day it is there. I live at latitude 43° N and I still have a hard time grasping how few hours of light you get there.
@@rudolfzweep8 I think the air port may be owned by umbrella corporation. Anyways you can see him practicing his dance moves in his previous video, he has LED light strips like in a dance club, and you know he has very cool taste in electronic music. ruclips.net/video/sqj7fVuAwbc/видео.html
@@ilyaanry This was my first thought, however I think it is also possible the airport is owned by umbrella corporation, since Mattias was seen using their company credit card in a previous video, as well as driving their vehicles
53:57 Let's be serious, there's no such thing as a video from you being too long :) The second thing is, I’m amazed at how you and your buddy work in this temperature. Some time ago, here in Poland, I tried laying cables in the house during autumn at 5 degrees, and I couldn’t manage without heating. People from the north must be as tough as northern trees.
M: "I think this is getting too long ... let's end it here...."
Us: Nooooooooooooooooo!!!!! It's really enjoyable.
only reason to end up a video is RUclips file volume restrictions
same
@@ilyaanry It was a 5 hour long video posted here not too long ago so there you go :D
Its never too long, i was ready for another 5 hour special 😂
As an Australian, I have to say that the glue on tape freezing is definitely a new one.
What is your opinion on that spider? Walking little bit slowly instead of dying like it should in such temperature?
@@jan_vyhnak As a south african I would've been dead in that weather so I'm impressed the spider is still going
*adhesive Specifically PSA (pressure sensitive adhesive)
And everything has environmental tolerances.
@@jan_vyhnak Do not mess with the spiders in the North, my bite mark from 87 just faded away last year.😱😎

At 25:24 Isn't that 367 608 km no 36 760km?
Yep he's mixed up MIL and kilometers again
It's a Swedish thing... They are using Swedish miles which are kilometres divided by 10. So the car has around 370k km.

Your videos are allways too short, it never gets too long NEVER!(unless you tired to film) Greetings from LT 😏✌

Welp. 🤣
there's something about insulating that makes every build feel so much more cozy and complete! just insulated the floor of my little van and it makes such a difference :)
Doors and Windows …as well 😂
Insulation makes sounds dull, maybe this also contributes. Like an empty arartment with concrete walls vs apartment with all sofas and carpets.
As others have mentioned, the effect you notice is largely a result of acoustic dampening. Put sheetrock over the insulation and the room will feel almost as bare due to the reflections.
It's really interesting seeing how differently buildings are constructed in different climates/parts of the world.
