As a professional life coach I admire your quiet sense of self and inner peace. You have mastered how to live in a noisy world with grace and tranquility! Happy holidays!
All the shops are beautiful where you live, even the charity shop was clean and organized. I love when you take us along on your walks and we get to see a bit of beautiful Stockholm. ❤
Unlike most Americans, I love fall/winter. You highlight how these seasons can be cozy. Love your candles and especially the whimsical bunny light. Only tip I would add is to slow cook something good in the oven, like a hearty stew, to fill the house with a comforting scent. Very much look forward to the unfolding story of your summer house.
As an Italian who has recently moved to Stockholm your videos are so helpful for embracing and understanding a Scandinavian's perspective on how to face the dark and cold months, thank you! I've also been to Skogskyrkogården during All Saints and it was magical
Oh Benita this was one of your most beautiful videos ever! It certainly motivated me to get out more and enjoy the beauty of nature and the season rather than sitting at home alone feeling sad this time of the year. The chest for your summer home is really a work of art...and for $20..what a bargain. You see the beauty all around you and that is such a gift and helps so many of us. Thank you for your wonderful tips which are so helpful.
Benita, Thank you for sharing the cemetery footage because it is very personal and the loss of loved ones is something many of us share in common. Peace, love and serenity is all we pray for. Have a wonderful cozy November. I really loved your new outfits. You look great! ❤
Thank you for this lovely reminder to embrace the seasons as they go. I used to be so very depressed in November (my month of birth), but over the years, I've learned to appreciate this moment in time where everything seems to slow down. I can spend more time indoors, knitting, cooking and reading, and sleep more. And going out at least once a day is a must to get the fresh air and the natural light. Looking forward to see how your country house evolves next year.
In Germany nothing is going on slowly in november. People began to stress themselves for christmas. Its going on earlier and earlier from year to year.😢
I think it is a wonderful custom to light all the lights and remember the dead. We do that here in Germany as well, but everyone puts one light on each relative's grave. I think it actually much nicer to put them all together in one place as you seem to do it in Sweden❤ I loved Skansen very much when I visited Stockholm in 2008 with my then young daughters. We have to come back, I can't believe that it's already been 15 (!!!) years.
As someone who’s just got back from a walk in the torrential rain with my dog I totally agree we need to walk no matter what the weather. As a Walker yourself have you never considered a doggy companion.
Your previous video prompted me to indulge my love of twinkly lights at this time of year - bought two small sets today and one is already lighting up our Garden Room. “Isn’t it a bit early to decorate for Xmas ?” Asked my husband. Yes - but it’s not too early to celebrate Autumn turning into Winter !
Rain and cold weather is no bad weather at all! I find fall and winter to be the most beautiful seasons, specially in countries like yours where the scennery is so magical 🤩 Here in Spain it’s still over 20ºC and I can’t bear it no more 🙈 I am longing for chilly days in my cozy knitwear 🙏 In the meantime, your videos transport me to beautiful Scandinavia, so thank you!! 🙌🤗
I visited a friend and his wife in Stockholm many years ago. I was surprised at how many oil lamps and candles they had. "We couldn't survive without them", his wife said. I think the difference in attitude towards these gentle lights (and lamps etc) is so telling - they are not luxuries, the indulgences that they are to those of us that grew up in the tropics. They are essential. Consider them mental-health aids. Cheaper than therapy and lovely to look at!
The candles in the cemetery on All Saints Day was absolutely beautiful and also seeing all the people about honoring their loved ones like that. Wish we had a tradition like that here in the USA.
I also enjoy being outdoors this time of year and we have had the most amazing Fall leaf colors lately. It's cozy to come home to a hot cup of tea with my cat. Greetings from Oregon!
I've got inspired by your cozy videos, so I've got a city bike and took all my pillows for a refreshment service and then bought some new pillowcases with a gift certificate I've got on my birthday in june 😅 I love running errands really. And i live near park too, walks help me to stay sane really! The other day I've decided to take a challenge and put my dumbbells into a backpack and barely made it back home i was so tired. I work a corp job, thanks to management i only have to be twice a week at the office. There is another lovely park ther and i alway walk around during lunch break and when weather is nice i eat lunch outside too.
Love your inspiring videos. Thank you for being authentic, generous and full of lovely ideas. My mother used to say ‘simplicity is elegance’ and I see that in your surroundings, your city and your filmography. 🙏🏼❤️
Such a nice and cozy video! As an absolute summer girl I am suffering tremendously from the dark and rainy season here in Germany. It is so frustrating and I miss the lovely spring and summer season. However, we have to make the best of it as we have no other alternative. Thank you for this inspiring video, dear Benita!
Hello Benita. This was such a beautiful reminder of ways we can embrace the season. Thank you for including the All Saints images. Such a beautiful way to gather and remember loved ones 🤍 Your new LS sweaters are lovely on you. 🌼
Well, winter days would be so much easier if they were as peaceful and cosy as your videos Benita! ❄️ That All Saints vigil was truly special and must help those who take part. I feel you are correct, get outside as much as possible, especially in nature. 🍁Our local churchyard is stuffed with 🐿️, they chase one another and their antics are very funny! The darker days see the slow cooker used on repeat with soups and stews, which both warm the kitchen and fill our home with tempting scents. Those sweaters are fabulous, the colour block one very much suits you 🌼 Thank you for bringing a super cosy break to enjoy with my ☕☺️
Your videos feel like a warm blanket and a good book. Lovely that you maintain a healthy interest in nature and history. Thank you for these beautiful moments.
Wow that chest is gorgeous. I struggle with Winter but I'm changing my mental attitude, making a lot of simple daily plans and getting in exercise 5 days a week. All of those candles were so beautiful and so moving. Love your videos.
I was just having visions of you dragging it onto the the bus to take to your summer house🤣 Thank goodness your son & girlfriend has a car!@@BenitaLarsson
I really enjoy your videos, thank you so much for posting! That antique chest was beautiful, and will be perfect in your summer home. And that All Saints vigil was so special to see.
Hello Benita. Just to say that you look great wearing a Lilysilk headband. You should do it more often. I also liked the Fisherman knit. I will look more closely at Lilysilk collection and the Fisherman knit. Enjoy your cosy minimalistic interior created by candles, during the coming winter months.
Hello Benita from Nova Scotia , Canada. I so enjoy your videos especially the fall and winter ones. Today we have some sunshine but I love my candles also and use my battery powered ones as well as my beeswax ones. I made my candle drawer after watching a fall video of yours several years ago now. It’s my private stash drawer. Loved your visit to the cemetery.so many in my country think cemeteries are depressing. I think their wonderful and So peaceful. We don’t celebrate All Saints’ Day the same way here. I think your way is wonderful. Thanks so much for the lovely video💞🇨🇦
I will definitely burn more candles this winter. I can see how they can help make a space feel cozy and warm when it's so dark and gray outside. I also need to take your advice about getting outside. My instinct is to stay warm and dry inside but it ultimately affects my mindset - I have a big problem with cabin fever. Thanks from Alaska for all your hygge tips.
Another beautiful video! That trunk was a fantastic score! Typically they get passed down to the next generation. I envy you the wonderful shops and bakeries you visit. The All Saints day acknowledgment was a beautiful tribute. Your videos help to keep me going no matter the subject matter. Thanks.
Hi there from france. Nobody does cozy like the scandanavians and you make it all so lovely. I have been following you for several months now and took time during august to watch all your videos. So much inspiration to be found and i’ve used several of your suggestions for minor home improvements. Excellent! Now, when i need a kickstart, I watch one of your videos and then tell my little french bulldog that we are going to have a Benita’ day. I love your new flat and the view across the courtyards. Beautiful architecture. 😮 many thanks . I’am already looping forward to next time.
It’s always so lovely to see your vlogs Benita, especially this time of year…….I love it when we change over to day lights saving , I’m probably the only person that does ! To me it is just such a cozy time of year and as I’m such a homebody it suites me…..like you I have candles going all the time and enjoy the ambiance it brings to my condo…….that chest is absolutely stunning and I can’t believe what you got it for, I’m a huge fa; of charity shops and auctions….I still have my Moms Hope chest which is cedar lined, it was in pretty bad shape when I got it but I’ve had it refinished and use it to store off season clothes and linens………hope this finds you well and looking forward to the holiday season……..😊Donna In Toronto
Hi Benita, I sometimes wonder how you are doing? Christmas time and winter always make me a little melancholy I feel, but honestly, seeing the cemetery all lit up, busy and full of people just remembering, warmed my heart. Very special. Love to you and bonus. Suze 🕊️🤍✨🇬🇧
The woodland cemetery was so beautiful I have never seen anything like it. All the lights for All Saints was spectacular.... what a wonderful tradition
Love all saints day, my parents and a lot of my relatives have past away some time ago and that s their day with flowers and a candle, beautiful tradition
How peaceful your videos are, how happy the rain is, I live in the city of the 1992 Olympics, here we don't have so much nature to take those walks in the morning, plus we have had little rain for three years throughout the year and when it does It is to do damage to fields, crops and harvests, now they are already warning us that they will lower the water pressure and that they will have to include purified water from the sea. The tradition of CANDLES in cemeteries is very beautiful.
Hi Benita, Thank you for this beautiful video. Although I am originally from a hot country, I love autumn and winter, it's my favourite seasons, there is something magical about it, not to forget, lighting candles, getting cosy, wearing wool and cashmere, making stews, baking, just being happy with family and friends as the holidays come. So yeah, just beautiful 😍 😊
A beautiful video and very poignant seeing the tradition there is a the cemetery - a lovely way to remember those who have passed on. Thank you so much for your ideas and positivity 🥀🌻
When the beautiful chest came into view 😍, I thought 'that has been really expensive!!' But $20!!! Fantastic buy! It will look lovely in your holiday home 😍. The silk head bands look good on you Benita, you should wear them more often 😍
Prices on these traditional Swedish items is really low considering the craftsmanship that went into them. This one is huge and heavy so you need space for it. Which we have luckily!
I always love your footage of Skansen, I hope I will be able to visit some day. I actually live pretty much like your footage in our little old washhouse with antiques inherited from my grandmother and in-laws, so it's the opposite of you - we go to a modern minimalist café or restaurant sometimes for the contrast!!
Where was this when I arrived in Finland in October 1985?:I got quite depressed, being from Texas and 6 months pregnant! No internet back then. I just cried myself through it. 😊
I really enjoyed this video! It was so relaxing, with my favourite things about Sweden- cinnamon rolls, cheeses. little shops etc. The antique chest is gorgeous too. Thanks so much !
Am I the only person in the world who watches your videos twice in a row because they are so beautiful and relaxing? And that's despite the days lengthening and the heat building for me here in the Southern Hemisphere...
I loved ❤the headband on you 🤩 so cute 🥰 Thank you for a wonderful 15:30 escape. The music, scenery, and narrative are absolutely perfect. I’m always calmer and inspired after watching. 🍃 🍁 🍂 🕯️
A beautiful video. I actually don’t mind this season and enjoy the coziness of it. Since it gets dark earlier it’s a reminder to me to slow down and enjoy crocheting, quilting and needlepoint. We have a dog so walks are twice daily regardless of the weather. But I make a point during the walks to pay attention to the beauty of trees and birds in our suburban neighborhood. The weather in NE Ohio has been mild so it’s not unusual to start the day in winter gear but by afternoon a sweatshirt is even too warm in the sunshine.
A most beautiful video, thank you! I have always embraced each season wholeheartedly. To me, there is a joy in every day, from the dank autumnal to the sweltering summer ones plus everything in between! Much love to you and your beautiful cat x
Hi there, I just watched your video on the dark days of November. And yeah thank you so much for that. It gave me a lot of good ideas. Can you do more films on this?
So glad you enjoyed it! Did you watch this one ruclips.net/video/-pNpLz2Z5mI/видео.htmlsi=aJMWpduw_8Y-FIFQ this one ruclips.net/video/Az7GWlrC6ng/видео.htmlsi=0BRuyYuSHq9ZtOHC and this one ruclips.net/video/sv0-7PYUcfg/видео.htmlsi=TxhtByWW4S86SY0N
Thanks Benita, you’re always so inspiring! It’s interesting the idea of ‘bad’ weather, I don’t think they use this in every language ? I love all the seasons (although spring is my favourite) and it’s definitely not depressing if you’re outside a lot and properly clothed. Bisous, as they say here in France .
I grew up in Canada, lived in Moscow for the past 5 years (but moved back to Serbia where I am originally from, where there is more sunshine haha), and I also used to take daily walks outside even during the dreary winter months. In Moscow there are a lot of great parks and I would sometimes spend hours there even in -20 weather. All you need is good clothing! It really helped a lot. But I also had to start taking vitamin d, which helped with mood too. I love having as much light as possible in my room. I love watching your videos, I have been trying to declutter my space and it has been better. My mother always buys me many things and I had to learn to say no, it is very overwhelming at times.😅 I am too chatty.😶 Thanks for the videos!
I loooove my lilysilk comforter! It’s heavier than down, but not as heavy as a weighted blanket, and it doesn’t just rest on top of you like down, but rather hugs you. I have a summer weight and a winter one and I’ve never slept better. Now that we are in Solar Winter you really need to make sure you get outside for a little bit each day. Remember there is no bad weather, but rather bad clothing choices. If it rains a lot - waterproof pants jacket and shoes or boots mean you can splash right through puddles! Which is just as fun for an adult as it is for a child! If you live in the US, the REI “garage sale” is a great place to get gently used, returned gear at a great price.
Another wonderful video. I too embrace the darkness and cool weather and do walk daily, light candles still on my balcony, as I can see them from my sofa and gives me calmness. I also at times put the fireplace channel on my tv, so reminds me of my former fireplaces in my homes, that I don’t have now. I also bought myself white roses. I have to cover my garden furniture soon, but hesitate, because still like having the candles at nigh tout there and when I do cover, I know it will be the closure of that space. What a lovely day out for us at the Museum and the shops and your purchases; and the flowers and pastry. I really loved that chest you bought. Loved the colour for your summer home. I wish we had charity shops here, you certainly have some nice things for you to purchase for your summer home. Love when you take us out on your daily routine, even to the food and bakery shops. Thank you.

Thanks for always watching and all the sweet comments!
Hi Benita, I sometimes wonder how you are doing? Christmas time and winter always make me a little melancholy I feel, but honestly, seeing the cemetery all lit up, busy and full of people just remembering, warmed my heart. Very special. Love to you and bonus. Suze 🕊️🤍✨🇬🇧
The woodland cemetery is a very special place!
The woodland cemetery was so beautiful I have never seen anything like it. All the lights for All Saints was spectacular.... what a wonderful tradition
It's the most stunning place, a Unesco World Heritage site for a reason!
The way you celebrate All Saints with all those candles and plants is LOVELY!
It's a beautiful tradition!
Benita, thank you for inspiration❤
this year I really enjoy the fall, no matter what the weather outside
Yay, tat's the right attitude!
I love this time of the year, especially cold, rainy days. The scenery is so beautiful in this video!
I’m so happy to know you enjoyed it!
Thank you. I so enjoy your videos sitting with a cup of tea, always perfect timing for that ☕ 👍 🇬🇧
Thanks so much for watching!
Love all saints day, my parents and a lot of my relatives have past away some time ago and that s their day with flowers and a candle, beautiful tradition
Such a beautiful tradition!
So glad you enjoyed the video!
Hi Benita,
Thank you for this beautiful video.
Thanks so much for watching it!
A beautiful video and very poignant seeing the tradition there is a the cemetery - a lovely way to remember those who have passed on. Thank you so much for your ideas and positivity 🥀🌻
I’m so glad you enjoyed it!
Your "travel" vlogs are beautiful and therapeutic - thank you.
I'm so happy you like them!
The cemetery was crazy beautiful!
It’s the most stunning place!
Loving the music 🎶 ❤
Thanks so much! Music is one of the most difficult things with making videos:
Benita, you are an inspiration. If I am ever fortunate enough to visit outside the U.S., Sweden will be my destination.
Sweden and Stockholm is definitely worth a visit!
I just came in from walking my dog in the dark, gloomy and rainy Berlin afternoon and this was a good reminder to light some candles!
Yay for a nice return home with doggie and candle light!
Contrast is great! I love that you do that!
I loved the darkness when we lived in Denmark. I understand that some people suffer, but for me it was 100% hygge.
It’s so cozy if you let it be!
As long as Bonus gets his brushing, all is right with the world…at least that’s my opinion 😊
Bonus tells me he agrees!
What a beautiful Impression of swedish November. Very emotional. I like it a lot.
So glad you enjoyed the video!
The cemetery and candles are beautiful -
Such a beautiful tradition!
I love the darkness of winter.
What a great gift!
The lights in the cemetery were so beautiful and peaceful!
Thank you!
It's a stunning thing to see in person!
Where was this when I arrived in Finland in October 1985?:I got quite depressed, being from Texas and 6 months pregnant! No internet back then. I just cried myself through it. 😊
Beautiful video today Benita. I really enjoyed all of it.
Yay, so happy to hear that!
The striped sweater and faux leather leggings looks great on you!
Thanks so much!
I really enjoyed this video! It was so relaxing, with my favourite things about Sweden- cinnamon rolls, cheeses. little shops etc. The antique chest is gorgeous too. Thanks so much !
Thanks so much for watching!
The headband suits you so well!
Thanks so much!😊
Am I the only person in the world who watches your videos twice in a row because they are so beautiful and relaxing? And that's despite the days lengthening and the heat building for me here in the Southern Hemisphere...
Aww, that's so sweet, thank you!
I loved ❤the headband on you 🤩 so cute 🥰
Thank you for a wonderful 15:30 escape. The music, scenery, and narrative are absolutely perfect.
I’m always calmer and inspired after watching.
🍃 🍁 🍂 🕯️
I’m so happy if my videos are calming!
Oh my gosh....Benita, the trunk for your summer house is GORGEOUS!
Such a great storage piece!
Very cosy video. Tack så mycket :)
Var så god! So happy you liked it!
So happy you enjoyed it! Doggies are great for getting you out of the house, rain or shine!
A most beautiful video, thank you! I have always embraced each season wholeheartedly. To me, there is a joy in every day, from the dank autumnal to the sweltering summer ones plus everything in between! Much love to you and your beautiful cat x
I feel very lucky to have four distinct seasons!
Wow the woodland cemetery is beautiful
It's such an amazing place!
We have a saying that rhymes that there is no such thing as bad weather only bad clothes😅
Cozy soft lighting, pastry and Bonus sounds like a dream. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks so much for watching!
My mother always buys me many things and I had to learn to say no, it is very overwhelming at times.😅
I am too chatty.😶 Thanks for the videos!
You look great , the sweater and leggings are very modern , as well as the head band
Thanks so much!
Your videos are good for my mental health 🙏🏼
I'm so happy you feel they're helpful!
The antique chest is gorgeous! What a steal for only $20! Amazing find and I hope it brings you joy for many years!
It will come in so handy for storage at the house!
Zdravím z Česka :-) Nedokáži být tak ukázněná v minimalismu, ale ten váš obdivuji a moc se mi líbí. Hezké dny přeji
Thank you! Have a nice day, you too!
That’s a great tip, thank you!
Thank you.
Thanks so much for watching again!
Beautiful and inspiring video ❤ Thank you.
Thank you so much!
