350z gets new steering wheel+ brake/clutch pedal switches for cruise control!

- what is up everyone in this video i installed a new steering wheel for my 350z with cruise control buttons as well as installing the brake and clutch pedal switched needed to make the cruise controls buttons function. hope you guys enjoy make sure you subscribe if you havent already more videos comming soon!

I know you have sold your Z already, by any chance did the steering wheel controls work for your running? And if they did what year of car did you took the steering wheel from?
I got the wheel off a 08 350z but the steering wheel had nothing to do with it in my case i only swapped it because mine was old and crusty what helped me was the switches that go under the pedals if you dont have them thats what you need that way your tuner can activate them only thing is depending on your cluster it might show you if you changing maps in my case nothing showed on my cluster while i was changing maps but i was switching through them if that makes sense
Friend, I already changed the clock spring pedal sensors and speed sensor and I can't change maps, anything else that I have to do, I would appreciate it.
Sorry for the super late reply im assuming you’re tuned right? If you are you would have to take it back to your tuner so he can turn on that feature or sometimes in my case you are changing maps it just doesn’t show on the dash try switching maps and hit the gas to see if you are since you might have the popping map or flame map etc bro
what year z is this ..... can i put the 2005 cruise switch only on my 2006 or do i need the controls that are for 06 and up ... the one with cruise and audio controls left and right?
Mine was a 07-08 cant remember but I’m sure you can add those controls they might work right away or you might have to have someone kinda activate them for you if i remember correctly
@@srbuildz yeah you had a hr ok. but you were able to put just the steering wheel controls only the right side and got them acvtivated?
im saying like i dont need the harness controls with the stereo controls on the lft
@@RedheadZ23 the controls have the harness and all Zs should have the harness already there so you can add them and the plugs should be there already to just plug in
So I already connected the brake/clutch pedal but my cruise won’t turn on would the tuner would have to ecu flash to able to able ?
I believe the tuner would have to activate it if im not mistaken. I dont really remember but when i installed mine the tuner turned it on for me because it wasnt working either
So I tuned my car 2/3 days ago during the tune my cruise control never turned on I did the wiring correct and I got some new brake/clutch cancel switch so I’m out of idea on why it’s not turning on I have my 5 maps but can’t change maps what can be the problem?
Hmm have you tried replacing the clock spring ?
So for the clutch switch your replacing the one already on there or your just adding to it ???
No im adding it to my car because mine didnt have it so i had to buy one
Yes I get that I just got my parts in rn but do I remove that nut and bolt for the clutch and install the new one or add to it ??
@@fredicruz4039 that bolt and nut is for you to adjust where you want the sensor so once the pedal pushes the sensor in all the way you can lock it there
Quick question, so I got my base 350 tuned with uprev and ark and have about 5 maps on there. I don’t have the cruise control buttons on my wheel so I can’t switch maps. Since my 350z is already tuned can I just add the buttons and it would work? Thanks guys
So i had the same situation as you 1st you have to make sure you have the break and clutch switch theres a harness already there incase you dont have the switches. Buy the switches if you dont get the buttons and your tuner should be able to activate them. You might now be able to tell that your switching maps on the dash some people have a blinking light for my case nothing would happen or show when i was switching map but i was changing through them you just have to test your maps once your tuner puts them on

By adding the buttons and switches, doesn’t mean you’ll actually have cruise control right?
No you have to make sure you have the switch that goes above the brake pedal and 1 above the clutch pedal
Wrong, you install these switches to be able to get cruise control and use tune maps, after install the ecu needs to be reflashed to turn it on, so u get a tune and flash at the same time to get cruise controla and be able to switch tune maps
