Football unfortunately is in the spot where they need the portal more than high school recruiting. We're not a contender so that makes us a "poachable" school. When we get good recruits they don't stay long. I think Danny said last years class had 7 4* signees an we had 2 left on the team at one point.
talked about this on Inside Arkansas but the issue is… it’s Arkansas. very resistant to change (just refusing to hire a GM for the football team, NIL disputes about how much we have and football vs. basketball support, etc.) while also being in a conference that requires the best out of each team to even attempt to be successful. unfortunately, arkansas is just a bottom dweller right now and i’m sure the pendulum will swing the other way at some point, but there’s a long way to go.
People pay the price of the tickets and the players need to win because they have not had a problem until sense another coach is doing the play calling
@bdavis2097 it's not a new roster...bud. he took all of the old KY team with him. Along with the recruits. I'm glad he's not coaching here. Believe me. We got the better end of that deal completely. It's just a shame to see things as they are now.
Its because people keep putting him down instead of keeping building all them up. Fans get into the team and show them they have your support . Call those hose from the time the hit the floor till the buzzard sounds . Then the play here and take it on the road as well .
So what was the excuse the first 5-7 games then? Because no one was bashing him then. But yeah get a million dollars and don’t even play like a minimum wage employee and see if somebody doesn’t say something.
There's nobody at the University of Arkansas that's saying what they are doing isn't good enough. Fans say it and maybe some media, but not the people in power. Nobody wants to take the blame or accept responsibility. It's not Yurachek's fault, not Pittman's nor Cal's and it's not Neighbors fault women's basketball sucks. Lack of accountability has festered within the athletic department like a cancer.

7 wins wouldn’t be enough either Nutt had us there on avg and they still ran him off.
The players need to practice and give the most effective at every game
Cal is washed y'all. He shouldve retired, bowed out gracefully and became Kentucky's basketball ambassador. His legacy is tarnished.
