I disagree I would take a serious look at the Michigan tape. The NIU loss was actually bizarre, a couple broken plays and a couple terrible passes from Leonard
Very unlikely to be Tosh Baker at left tackle. This becomes a huge X-factor for the game - the return of Charles Jagusah, who was originally slated as the starting LT, and who might be ND’s best OL overall. I thought he played like it against PSU, minus a couple bonehead plays due to rust. He has 10 days to prep. He would be an upgrade over Knapp. And ND will need it, because if it’s going to win, it’ll be doing what no one expects: Throwing downfield against the biggest “weakness” OSU has, their corners. And IMO Ransom and Styles in coverage. I think ND’s weapons are underrated (mainly underutilized), and they still have some “secret” weapons they could spring, like Kris Mitchell (1,100 yards last year at FIU as a deep threat) and Jayden Harrison (at least one long TD catch called back by penalty). They’ll need that, and at least +2 TO margin, and a big special teams play or two.
Most people before the ND PS game said for ND to win they had to win the rushing battle, be plus in turnovers and control the line of scrimmage. They did none of these things. They allowed 10 more points than their average from the first 2 games. ND might not be as one dimensional as we thought.
ND fan - really enjoyed the analysis and agree on pretty much everything you said. One note is that Knapp will not play, though frankly he’s been struggling lately and it opens up a spot for the more talented Jagusah so I don’t think that’s a huge loss. I agree that they’ll have to take shots outside the numbers - the receivers are legitimately good and have been underutilized since we’ve been able to win with the run, but they’re going to have to show up in a big way to beat a team as good as OSU. I think if we can hit a few big pass plays or force a big turnover in the first half, we can keep this close and drag OSU into the mud where anyone can win. One note you didn’t mention - Ohio State’s O-Line is the most experienced, so I’m hoping they’ll struggle with picking up ND’s blitz packages. I think Ohio State is the better team on paper but anything can happen in one 60-minute game! GO IRISH ☘️☘️☘️

ND has more balance in 3 phases, will win by 7 to 10 points and one special teams score. You can't predict that in your biased analysis. ND will rattle OSU great QB. ND 31 OSU 27
Caveat to Ohio State's run defense stats. OSU's offense gets to big leads early in games and forces teams to pass to catch up. The best running teams they've faced have been able to run effectively against them (although OSU makes them earn every yard). Good run defense, but not elite.

This comment section makes me realize how arrogant, ignorant and narcissistic the OSU fan base is. I’m shocked that I have trouble finding a single humble OSU fan that will admit a single flaw about their team. Not to say ND fans can’t be the same way but I see a hell of a lot more humility from the ND fan base (and many complimenting OSU given their flawed regular season and wanting to call for Ryan Day’s firing). Now all the sudden OSU gets hot in the playoffs (not so much vs Texas, almost fell asleep in the first half) and you’re back on the bandwagon. Reading most of your comments tells me that you know so much about your team and very little about your opponents. “We’ll win by 50, go Bucks” seems to be the trend. And after pissing your pants when a mediocre (at best) Texas defense was closing those gaps and forcing 3 and outs, all the sudden the narrative is that Texas has one of the best defenses in the country. Get over yourselves. Admit it, if OSU loses after Day takes your team to the natty, you’ll be calling for his head again just like you were after the Michigan loss.
This is pretty nonsensical. This isn’t “law of large numbers” accurate. You are looking at these numbers in a box. Maybe your programming can do some kind of Monte Carlo simulation…but still thankfully the games are played and don’t rely on PFF grades…
I enjoy the review but we gotta stop pretending that bucks can be effective running the ball lol. Like Oregon was us running the ball well n that was one big run then averaging 4.5 yds otherwise. It’s gonna not be a good running game for the bucks.

@@ml1754 hey look at the receiving stats when you clowns played Penn State, Irish receivers were way more Dynamic! Not ever close, and your STUD Smith had 3 receiving yards against soft as hell Texas! Texas is so soft they played a ZONE! 🤣🤣😄😄😄😄😄😄

Yeah, that 95 passing yard total was impressive 😂😂

Nd is a good pss defense, but who have they played that is even close to being elite?
Ohio State has played tougher opponents than Notre Dame to get to the National Championship Game. Notre Dame is an excellent college football team, but Ohio State is at a higher level.

Did you guy even bother looking at ND and OSU passing production against Penn State's defense because the Irish passing game WAS WAY MORE DYNAMIC and Productive!!! 😮😮😮😮
Ohio State played Penn State in Happy Valley. They also weren’t playing to their full potential yet. This postseason, they’ve been the toughest team.
@@theomarceau8251 no you guys played Penn State when you were completely healthy and struggled the entire game, the Irish are down 4 starters on the OL, 3 starters on the DL, our all American CB and we still threw for more yrds than your so called elite WR! Hmm, interesting…they still have to play the game..maybe you guys are right.
Notre Dame hasn’t forgotten the game from last season, the players were praying for an opportunity to play them again.
Despite the injuries, I think the Irish have the edge and will win and clearly show they are the better team. Go Irish!! ☘️
It will be a close game but the more talented team is Ohio State.
These aren’t the same teams, save the injuries garbage we have injuries too, the Irish DONT HAVE A SINGLE EDGE in anything. They are getting stomped. Notre Dame is the worst team we’ve played so far. Ohio State is your champ.

95.1 Ohio state run defense best since 2019????????
I think Haskins, Donovan Edwards, Blake Corum, and Kalel Mullings have something to say about that 😂
You might need to update your run defense analytics - seems flawed PFF 😢
How's your off-season going? Reviewing other team's signals for next year? Enjoy it sweetheart ❤😂
Team over talent. Which one will prevail?
Bad narrative. OSU team is comprised of a lot of seniors and leaders. Not just a talented team, but a tight one. ND being a tight knit team is not a unique advantage when you talk about this Ohio State team
Can always tell guys who don’t watch the games, when they talk % ranks
ND has more balance in 3 phases, will win by 7 to 10 points and one special teams score. You can't predict that in your biased analysis. ND will rattle OSU great QB. ND 31 OSU 27
They are not scoring 31 you’re delusional
Could you imagine if Bmo was back. Bmo and Leonard Moore might be the greatest cb duo in cfb history
Caveat to Ohio State's run defense stats. OSU's offense gets to big leads early in games and forces teams to pass to catch up. The best running teams they've faced have been able to run effectively against them (although OSU makes them earn every yard). Good run defense, but not elite.
Really? Playoff stats less than 2 yds per attempt, right?
@@Whinny40SWyes, yds per carry doesn't care about how often you run. Caveat fail.
You’re an idiot, our run defense and defense in general is elite. Texas ran for 50 yards, Oregon was 26. You know what’s coming and so does everyone else.
@@Al-Rudigor28 rushing attempts Oregon had. -23 rushing by yards and -.8 yards per attempt on avg. Texas 29 rushing attempts 58 yards, 2 yards per average on each attempt. I call that elite. Tennessee Nico put up some rushing yards against them but that was due to him scrambling so much.
@@josht6001 yes, I agree 👍.
tOSU has won the CFP bracket by 59 points over top 5 opponents...minus maybe Tennessee including the #1 seed and only undefeated. Notre Dame by 26 points of 1 top 5 team...PSU.
Y'all mention Ohio State injuries, and only mentioned Mills ( Captain ) on DL. I saw Knapp in comments after video. 3 of 4 starters have been out on DL with Cross injured and missed games as well. O-Line been injured all year. Yet starting LT fall camp now starting RG. Center has been back up. 3rd LT option is in as 5th yr. Tosh Baker. 6'8" 320 something. All American Ben Morrison CB ( Captain ) has been out, was shut down corner. ( look up Harrison stats last year vs. ND ) Moore ( FR ) been phenom. I love the stats, data, and PFF. However....there is no PFF for intangibles and coaching staff. Ohio State is more talented! Anyone that follows college ball knows that from the jump! 15, 5 stars for OSU to 1?? 3 Phases to football, Special teams have been a big influence on outcome. Loved your show from data standpoint!
Marcus Freeman is a buckeye so I won’t talk about ND plus I don’t have anything against them other than they should join the big ten. They will have to play a complete game and have calls go there way to be able to beat us. Go Bucks
Well the calls will go their way for sure....
Notre dame will win they beat a unbeatable team
Find a team to beat them trying to run the ball. Isn’t that what Michigan did?
No. 2 missed FGs and OSU running strait into the best interior lost them the game
I enjoy the review but we gotta stop pretending that bucks can be effective running the ball lol. Like Oregon was us running the ball well n that was one big run then averaging 4.5 yds otherwise. It’s gonna not be a good running game for the bucks.
They control the line and clock as needed.
Need to get rid of the bowls to make it right, it won't happen unfortunately
ND had a fairly easy post season and their SoS from the regular season is meh....quality wins matter. This is like Tennessee waltzing in and thinking they can compete...ND will fight but it's like a baby seal struggling against a polar bear....just close your eyes little seal it will all be over in a second.
🌰HI🌰 STATE National champions 🏆
Every year Notre Dame plays nobody. That why they don’t want to be in a conference. They can play a bunch of nobody’s, but with their history the years they get a free pass. Notre Dame has been good since Joe Montana.
They beat Penn State and Georgia in the playoffs...what more do you want them to do? They were heavily injured too.
@ Before the playoffs they didn’t play one team in the top 10.
Like Maryland is a world beater 😂

Would ND have beaten Texas? Sure looked bad against them previously
When did ND even play Texas? That was a long time ago.
@@diggingmystylethat’s always the argument though. One time eleven years ago they lost to Alabama both with different coaches and rosters so therefore they will never stand a chance against Alabama.
@ColonelCarnage did you even read the comments? The person said ND looked bad against Texas the last time they played. I don't even remember that game but did Google it. It was in 2016 and ND lost 47 to 50 in OT. I'd say that's a competitive game wouldn't you?
They beat GA by 13 pts who beat Texas twice. So I would yes, they would have beat Texas by at least 2 scores.

You should do some research, Ohio St. academics are very good among their athletes, that being said this is for the Natty in football.

@ TCU don’t they believe in that fake Protestant thing?
I assume nothing, and on any given day any team can lose. But keep in mind when you look at ND’s passing defense stats, that includes games against Army and Navy which runs a triple option offense. Purdue, the worst team in the Big 10. A FCS school. In the playoffs Georgia with a back up QB, and PSU with possession receivers and no one to push the ball downfield.
