      Honestly sonny doesn't seem to enjoy playing linebacker I could be wrong but you can see how Cody attacks each play I don't see that same intensity from sonny at that position.

    • @LanceGreene888
      @LanceGreene888 21 час назад

      Sonny gave up both of texas touchdowns he got burnt on the 1st one granted the back was faster and the 2nd one he blitzed and let the back run right past him leaving him wide open, even if you are supposed to blitz as a linebacker that RB is your responsibility you don't stay with the blitz you account for that man in coverage I'm not hating or being negative but he's leaving his responsibility in the defense just go back and watch both those scores then decide if I'm wrong I know this game and everyone has assignments I like sonny just feel like he can give more.

    • @jerrico001
      @jerrico001 21 час назад +1

      @@LanceGreene888 While you are correct in your assessment, if you look at the Buckeyes' defense as a whole, the only perceived weakness is Sonny in pass coverage, but I'll NEVER take him off the field because of all the other things he does. There is no defense that can take EVERYTHING away. Go BUCKS! 🅾🌰🏈

    If I can nit-pick just a bit .. why didn't Day and Kelly design plays to get JJ open? I know Texas keyed on JJ, but it's not like Oregon wasn't aware of him. The second play of the Oregon game, JJ was disguised out of the backfield and scored .. and a couple drives later, a play was created to make him .. wide open .. to the right side of the end zone as Howard rolled to the left and the other two WR drew their DB and the Safety with them. Why weren't these type of plays created vs Texas? Get your talent in space. That is what Day and Kelly are known for. Go Bucks!

      While I did play football at a decently high level and have a ton of expertise in games of strategy, I have yet to see the all 22 and wouldn't say my expertise lies in football strategy. The basics of any sound strategy is to exploit weaknesses with your strengths. Texas' probably has the best secondary in the country and their weakness on D was their linebackers. That wasn't the case with Tennessee and Oregon; UT was soft in the secondary and Oregon was just ok. Texas had the scheme and the dudes to shut down JJ which opened up Carnell and the running backs. From what I'm hearing, Texas played a bunch of cover 2 shell which is all the rage in the NFL right now. Cover 2 shell is a strategy which puts a huge emphasis in covering the field beyond ~8 yards down field which ultimately leaves the area from scrimmage to ~8 yards open. Beating it requires long drives and a lot of patience. So, long story short from an advanced amateur eye; they didn't design plays to get JJ open because those plays wouldn't have worked as well as what they did. Also, penalties killed us and kept them in the game allowing them to stick to their plan.

    Buckeye Nation 👉🏽 Paradigm Shift from former athlete @ The OSU, 1985-89.
    Let’s STOP, take a moment, and question the rivalry with TTUN-they forever altered the competition the moment their coaches DISHONORED the rivalry for personal gain 👉🏽 cheating scandal, threats to go to court-joke, game suspensions, violation of BIG 10 conference guidelines, potentially collaborating with other schools and conferences to gain an advantage, disregard of sportsmanship, LB coach fired, lack of professionalism, immunity clause, escaping to the NFL to avoid accountability, contract clauses to avoid accountability, NCAA investigation delays, etc. The TRADITION of the rivalry and “The Game” with TTUN was always bigger than the ego /desperation of a few coaches. They could not compete so they decided to cheat!! NCAA investigation still pending-due process right 🤷🏽‍♀️🎤😂
    👉🏽 EVERY game on the schedule is now “The Game” because we are in the 12 team CPF era. TTUN is just another game on the schedule.
