As a Buckeye fan, I have so much respect for Marcus Freeman and his squad. Being down 2 O linemen is a setback. But no one is talking about OSU being down our 2 O linemen. I see it as a scratch for both equally. ND will give us their best shot, you know that. No matter the outcome it will be a matchup good for college football.

What? At the beginning of the year the starting O line for the Irish had 6 total starts. NOTRE DAME isn't down 2 O line their down 6 or 7. Not to mention RB injuries Williams ANOTHER FRESHMEN..D line is decimated. Our best corner, one of the best in the country out most of the year. ND is on fumes. freshmen and sophomores are starters. One more game and Freeman might have to recruit from the dorms and frat houses .

As a Buckeyes fan, I agree. Today is the 10th anniversary of OSU beating Oregon for the inaugural playoff championship. We won with QB3 Cardale Jones. Good point. However, the INT Tennessee had was not on Howard. Not to mention the kid was out of bounds before he had possession. The INT he threw in the cotton bowl was UGLY, but I'm sure Day will have words with him. No reason why Howard shouldn't be confident as hell in the natty.

A few things first off ND only lost to Ohio St last year with the 10 player thing.... definitely not happening this year. Secondly Ohio St had a way better QB last year chit look at what McCord did this year at Syracuse still killing it. Ran the man out of town for Michigan game. Facts are facts stats don't lie when comparing the 2 . Third last year's team had Harrison Jr whom got completely shutdown against ND what makes you think they can't shutdown a freshman wr. If ND is to be worried about a wideout is going to be ebuka who had a sold game against them last year memory serves me it was lots of passes across the middle out of man coverage. And as I recall pretty sure Henderson had a pretty decent game too. Yes I know different year different team but tendencies are just that for both teams. I would boil this game down to same thing as it was the last 2 years they have played mistakes...the pick 2 years ago in the 4th quarter and the not enough players on the field last year. Either way I expect a classic knock out drag out type of game. I pray for Ohio St. That Day doesn't try to make this about toughness or some chit like that like he does with Michigan because that hasn't worked out for him. Just stick to what they are great at. Leave the being like ole coach tressel up to Freeman and stay in your lane and they will be fine. If. Not it will be a barn burner by choice and not talent.

ND path to beating OSU is very, VERY narrow. They are going to have to hope that their OL can hand OSU's front which really NO ONE has this play off. OSU has gotten 16 sacks in the last 3 games. During these play offs OSU is allowing an average of 1.95 per carry and just over 65 yards per game. I think ND is going to have all kinds of problems moving the offense... ND is going to have keep the score under 25 to have ANY chance of winning...

Notre Dame fan here. I admittedly do not know a ton about Will Howard as a rusher. But I don't think adding 14 pounds would make him a better rusher. Howard is 236lbs. It he was 250 he'd be bigger, but slower. Leonard is 216. What makes Leonard a dangerous runner isn't his ability to bulldoze anybody. It's his instincts, his first step, and how slippery he is. Georgia kept ND's RBs in check, but let Leonard run for 80 yards. I have no doubt OSU has the defensive make up to shut down/limit Price and Love. But can they also contain Leonard's ground game. Will be interesting to watch.

Do a little reading buddy yes Jag was our starting left tackle out of preseason to take over for first round draft pick Joe alt....and he was very much hyped up. But he tore his pectoral muscle in preseason and was reported to be out for the season. He didn't start back practicing til around a month ago per coach Freeman. And he didn't come in as the left tackle instead they had him coming in for Billy at right guard when he went down. Look up his size he's a dude like 6'7" and 320
So him doing a good job solidifying the right side when he came in against penn state was not a surprise and as for Baker I think he'll be fine he had been a starter in the past few years he just got beat out by a absolute stud of a freshman.....

MVP for OSU is Jesus Christ this year. He touched willing hearts and those players will never be the same. Their love and willingness to serve in the vertical dimension it to Christ. There love and willingness to serve in the horizontal dimension it to each other. Take the vertical and horizontal and you have The Cross where they humbly come together daily and strengthen each other.
I LOVE my Buckeyes since way back but I've NEVER seen the "Brotherhood" stronger or more dedicated than today. That is unbelievably impressive in this new era of College Football. Player switch teams at will and and the landscape is somewhat mercenary and less local or home grown than ever yet GOD has done something in the mist of all of this change and it is GLORIOUS! Praise HIM. 🙂

One team's season got destroyed by two "over-the-top" FCA evangelist team members, who constantly tried to proselytize and inject prayer into every aspect of the program. Their "holier than thou" attitudes were, to me, very un-Christian. They judged everyone. Nobody turned more people off from religion than those two. And main difference between Riley and Oregon qb is Riley will have qb runs and will run wrs open on the pressures. On the defensive side we have three corners that can cover and two that can legit play lockdown defense and we could bracket smith with watts. As for pressure up the middle Rubio gets more consistent pressure up the middle on a passer and gets off of blockers to make tackles better than Rylie mills

RJ, let’s cut the noise Notre Dame thrives when their backs are against the wall. Losing two linemen? That’s just fuel for the fire. Marcus Freeman isn’t walking into this battle unarmed; he’s leading a team built for the trenches, forged in adversity, and ready to defy the odds. Riley Leonard? He’s a warrior, and when the game gets ugly, that’s when he shines. Ohio State’s front seven may be scary, but Notre Dame’s legacy was built on breaking teams that look unbeatable.
