I believe it was Achon before the Texas game who said Howard was the worst QB left. It’s Zaire who essentially mocked Howard in numerous ways after OSU beat Texas
Lol same narratives and predictions us Notre Dame fans have been hearing ALL szn long. Ain’t nothing changed but the time the date and the year. Injuries this…Riley Leonard that…Notre Dame has no shot…yadayadayada…ah ah ah ah ah…that’s why they play the game on the field and not on paper. If it were up to you “” so called experts you’d rather the teams not even show up and just hand the buckeyes the trophy off talent alone. What Notre Dame does have can’t be measured or quantified on paper and only by what’s inside the player and that is toughness grit and heart and the ability to bounce back up after taking everyone’s best shot…PERIOD!
No one will argue that ND has been playing with heart. But - the statement about just handing Ohio State the win is not even remotely realistic. We all want them to play this game. That being said, having something that doesn't show up on paper isn't a very reliable system, especially coming up against the best defense in the country, which complements a deadly offense. ND gonna need the game of the century to win this.
Just ask Northern Illinois about that toughness and grit ya talk about.. It differs from team to team and come Jan 20th we will see who rules the roost .. I think the Buckeyes gonna come out with more Fire than any of the previous playoff matches.. With these guys being on a mission and along with what Lue Holts said about osu playing soft .. This game right here they gonna go all out ...their goal is right there in front of them .. these guys WILL NOT let it get away without a fight...so best believe they coming with some fire and intensity.. If Notre Dame doesn't see it and come prepared for a Dog fight it will get ugly real fast ... won't matter if it's on paper .. on television or the internet .. on the field they gonna find out just how tuff.. I like OSU's chances and hope more peps questions osu and how tough they are.. brings out the best in us ..GO Buckeyes !!
For those who don’t know, when RJ started the show (the podcast not this episode) he originally was always on a stepmill doing his exercise routine as he did the show.
I thought for sure Abdul Carter was just a decoy. My suspicions were confirmed when I saw how he wasn’t using his injured shoulder in warmups. Then he proceeded to destroy our entire offensive line with one arm.
Ohio State is going to destroy Notre Dame, even if they have all their starters! I have absolutely no worries about this game, as it won’t be close! 42-10, Ohio State, could be worse, if Ohio State wants it to be! ❤️🌰🏈
I think it’s going to be close. Sure there is a talent gap, but players play tight in the natty. I still think OSU wins, but ND slows the game and keeps it close. I just don’t think Riley is going to have enough to pressure the D. Give me OSU 27 ND 20. Go Bucks.
@@IamRa-18 Penn State had chances to win the Notre Dame game, that’s another reason I don’t think the Natty is close! 42-10, Ohio State wins it all! What a run, maybe the best run ever, in competition with the 2014 Ohio State National Championship run, with a third string quarterback, in Cardale Jones! ❤️🌰🏈
@@benmeaige4306why does everyone think Notre Dame is going to slow the game? It is just as likely that Ohio State can come out aggressive and ND will be forced to anandon the run.
As a Buckeye Fan (an honest one) anything’s possible. I didn’t think we had a prayers chance in Hell of loosing to “that team up North” but it’s football and sh!t happens. If I was betting money on it, ND is not where I’d put my money though. That being said I have much respect for ND and their storied History. Along with Coach Freeman also a Buckeye. Regardless it’s football and should be an entertaining game! Talent will take you so far but also whoever wants it more can make up for a lot of deficiencies. Go Bucks!!!
It’s not like they don’t have backups to play on the OL. Ohio State has been battling the same situation all season. Of course, ND can beat Ohio State! I am expecting a solid game from both teams. No one is an underdog here. Good Luck to both teams!
Has Ryan D lost like eight games. Ever? it’s like time for this to stop. As an OSU fan this is extremely weak. Y’all said the same thing would’ve did the same thing to Saban. Go Bucks! That’s the correct response.
There's always a chance, but I think Riley Leonard will have a hard time breaking down Jim Knowles defense. Also, if they commit 2 or 3 defenders to stop Jeremiah Smith, I dont think they have the dudes to stop osu offense with 8 or 9 defenders. God forbid they are stubborn and try to play a lot of man coverage. Bombs over Baghdad. With all that being said, there's always a chance, that's why they play the game.
A few things first off ND only lost to Ohio St last year with the 10 player thing.... definitely not happening this year. Secondly Ohio St had a way better QB last year chit look at what McCord did this year at Syracuse still killing it. Ran the man out of town for Michigan game. Facts are facts stats don't lie when comparing the 2 . Third last year's team had Harrison Jr whom got completely shutdown against ND what makes you think they can't shutdown a freshman wr. If ND is to be worried about a wideout is going to be ebuka who had a sold game against them last year memory serves me it was lots of passes across the middle out of man coverage. And as I recall pretty sure Henderson had a pretty decent game too. Yes I know different year different team but tendencies are just that for both teams. I would boil this game down to same thing as it was the last 2 years they have played mistakes...the pick 2 years ago in the 4th quarter and the not enough players on the field last year. Either way I expect a classic knock out drag out type of game. I pray for Ohio St. That Day doesn't try to make this about toughness or some chit like that like he does with Michigan because that hasn't worked out for him. Just stick to what they are great at. Leave the being like ole coach tressel up to Freeman and stay in your lane and they will be fine. If. Not it will be a barn burner by choice and not talent.
What people are forgetting is jagusah was a 5 star and overall 10th ranked player in the country who tore his pec in spring training. He wouldve been starting if not for this injury and now healthy so i see it we are down 1 o lineman
ND path to beating OSU is very, VERY narrow. They are going to have to hope that their OL can hand OSU's front which really NO ONE has this play off. OSU has gotten 16 sacks in the last 3 games. During these play offs OSU is allowing an average of 1.95 per carry and just over 65 yards per game. I think ND is going to have all kinds of problems moving the offense... ND is going to have keep the score under 25 to have ANY chance of winning...
Thing I am most interested in seeing in this game is if N.D. plays man coverage most of the game like they have all season and if they can be successfull at it. Everyone saying Texas playing zone is the key but can a team who from what I know doesn't play alot of zone go away from what they normally do?
Notre Dame fan here. I admittedly do not know a ton about Will Howard as a rusher. But I don't think adding 14 pounds would make him a better rusher. Howard is 236lbs. It he was 250 he'd be bigger, but slower. Leonard is 216. What makes Leonard a dangerous runner isn't his ability to bulldoze anybody. It's his instincts, his first step, and how slippery he is. Georgia kept ND's RBs in check, but let Leonard run for 80 yards. I have no doubt OSU has the defensive make up to shut down/limit Price and Love. But can they also contain Leonard's ground game. Will be interesting to watch.
Versus Penn State, Notre Dames 2 RB studs got 80 yards rushing on 29 carries. The longest was 9 yards. Riley Leonard threw 2 picks. They are a good team but can they score against the glorious Buckeyes?
@@numberonecfbshow Do a little reading buddy yes Jag was our starting left tackle out of preseason to take over for first round draft pick Joe alt....and he was very much hyped up. But he tore his pectoral muscle in preseason and was reported to be out for the season. He didn't start back practicing til around a month ago per coach Freeman. And he didn't come in as the left tackle instead they had him coming in for Billy at right guard when he went down. Look up his size he's a dude like 6'7" and 320 So him doing a good job solidifying the right side when he came in against penn state was not a surprise and as for Baker I think he'll be fine he had been a starter in the past few years he just got beat out by a absolute stud of a freshman.....
@@theomarceau8251 he moves different than those 3. He's deceptively fast long strider. Georgia got burned a few times not respecting it and have the same amount of talent on the defense OSU does
@ LOL! Not saying they are unfamiliar, but they have a history of not performing well against mobile QBs. Also, not sure I would label Allar as a mobile QB. He’s about as shifty as Howard.
Great analysis. Riley Mills is a huge loss. Would love to have Morrison this game as well. Fluke win is all about I can say for Irish chances. Go Irish, just getting started.
There is one thing about ND that scares me. It’s their special teams. Marcus Freeman has a way of getting the most out of that unit and flipping games in their head. Ohio State does not.
MVP for OSU is Jesus Christ this year. He touched willing hearts and those players will never be the same. Their love and willingness to serve in the vertical dimension it to Christ. There love and willingness to serve in the horizontal dimension it to each other. Take the vertical and horizontal and you have The Cross where they humbly come together daily and strengthen each other. I LOVE my Buckeyes since way back but I've NEVER seen the "Brotherhood" stronger or more dedicated than today. That is unbelievably impressive in this new era of College Football. Player switch teams at will and and the landscape is somewhat mercenary and less local or home grown than ever yet GOD has done something in the mist of all of this change and it is GLORIOUS! Praise HIM. 🙂
Save the sermon. God doesn't care more about Ohio State football than he does about 6-year-olds playing soccer in Nigeria who've never heard of Jesus Christ. He's got much more important things to think about than the "Brotherhood". I love the Buckeyes too but God doesn't favor them over anybody else. To suggest such a thing is blasphemous.
@@carseye1219 At what point did I say that GOD cares anymore about the Buckeye players than you or me or anybody else? I missed seeing what you are alleging. Christ has abundant time and cognitive resources for caring about me, you and every one else. Blessings to you. 🙂
@@johnbeckman8916 "HIS impact", "tremendous narrative". You refute your initial sentence with everything else you write! They are a good football team because they've worked hard and are well-coached. Football is a secular activity. Leave it that way. Btw, I was a coach at Ohio State years ago (different sport). One team's season got destroyed by two "over-the-top" FCA evangelist team members, who constantly tried to proselytize and inject prayer into every aspect of the program. Their "holier than thou" attitudes were, to me, very un-Christian. They judged everyone. Nobody turned more people off from religion than those two. If there were some Islamic team members, who held Koran study sessions and, when interviewed by media, said "All glory to Allah", would you be just as supportive? Or does only one religion have precedence?
@@johnbeckman8916 I like that about our guys to .. started seeing it with cj strout previously.. not that I think our team is more blessed than any others but about how each individual has found his strengths through his faith... even during the fight of the Michigan game players from both rivals knelt in prayer how often do u see something like that? Glorious.. Go Bucks !!!
has a buckeye fan I must admit that I'm a little disappointed that unfortunately Notre Dame will not be play without two of their starting lineman. I don't want them to say that Texas was a real national championship game, I wanted to be to Midwest teams duking it out of course with my Buckeyes coming out on top.
Love all of the Michigan fans on every ohio state post mad because the game doesn't matter anymore. Can't wait until Michigan is good enough to make the playoff and gets smoked 2-3 times by Ohio State in a single season LOL
ND had injuries at left and right guard, center out for season, amongst other oline injuries. Bucks lost 1st round starting LT, then the backup LT, then the starting (award winning) center and gas experienced 23 different oline combos. JT might be a bit hobbled with that ankle, Jack Sawyer is playing with a Jax arm, Simon is pry a little banged up. Needless to say both teams will have key guys playing through pain screaming “WITNESS ME!!!!” and inhaling the chrome for a chance at Valhalla😂
Jagusah is a better guard or tackle than Rocco or Knapp so it’s an upgrade we just need to hope Rocco can play. And main difference between Riley and Oregon qb is Riley will have qb runs and will run wrs open on the pressures. On the defensive side we have three corners that can cover and two that can legit play lockdown defense and we could bracket smith with watts. As for pressure up the middle Rubio gets more consistent pressure up the middle on a passer and gets off of blockers to make tackles better than Rylie mills
Buckeyes remember take one play at a time, take one game at a time. Give 110% for each other. Play lights out! Your goal is still Infront of you all. Go Buckeyes!
RJ, let’s cut the noise Notre Dame thrives when their backs are against the wall. Losing two linemen? That’s just fuel for the fire. Marcus Freeman isn’t walking into this battle unarmed; he’s leading a team built for the trenches, forged in adversity, and ready to defy the odds. Riley Leonard? He’s a warrior, and when the game gets ugly, that’s when he shines. Ohio State’s front seven may be scary, but Notre Dame’s legacy was built on breaking teams that look unbeatable. This isn’t just footballit’s a fight. And when the dust settles, the Irish will stand tall, shocking everyone who dared to doubt them.☘️
hot take, jeremiyah love is the best running back in this game. given the osu offensive line, he’d be by far & away the best rb in cfb. his athletic prowess has been on display, with less. these osu rb’s are fast guys that can run in open space.

Ohio State Texas game all they talked about was Texas!! Am I wrong about the bias? Now I have to listen to them again they ruin the game for me!
Charles Jagusah so. (6’7” 330 lbs 4/5-star) is going to be Anthonie Knapp’s fr. (6’4” 291 lbs 3/4-star) replacement. In fact, when Jagusah came into the ND-PSU game after Knapp got hurt, ND started running the ball better. ND will be fine.
@NoFlawBenji they're a man team it'll be alot harder for them to do the same within their scheme. Texas is also just significantly more talented than ND as well
If Rocco Spindler Does Not Play, Then The Oline That Was In There For The Second Half Will Be The Starting Oline. If Rocco Can Go, Then Jagusah Goes Back To Left Tackle Where He Was Supposed To Play This Year. And That Might Not Be A Bad Thing Either Way.

I don’t know all the qbs OSU has had in that time period but I know there are some big names on that list. Maybe the way he worded it hit wrong. I’ll let the OSU fans go down the list to see if what he said is valid. Is this really something that’s motivating? Good luck in the title game.
I believe it was Achon before the Texas game who said Howard was the worst QB left. It’s Zaire who essentially mocked Howard in numerous ways after OSU beat Texas
1 more Buckeye Nation!!! Let's Gooo
ND still gonna bring the 🔥 As a Buckeye, I know that. I’m interested to see how much man they’re gonna play defensively.
👊🏾
I've heard you say many times you're not on a step mill. What exactly does that mean?
👊🏾
Wow you just described ohiostate !
I'm a buckeye and think ND has a shot, should be a good game
Go Bucks.
@ I agree Ohio State wins, but not on the score! There is a huge talent gap between the two, Ohio State wins big! 42-10!
38-17 Buckeyes
As a Buckeye Fan (an honest one) anything’s possible. I didn’t think we had a prayers chance in Hell of loosing to “that team up North” but it’s football and sh!t happens. If I was betting money on it, ND is not where I’d put my money though. That being said I have much respect for ND and their storied History. Along with Coach Freeman also a Buckeye. Regardless it’s football and should be an entertaining game! Talent will take you so far but also whoever wants it more can make up for a lot of deficiencies. Go Bucks!!!
👊🏾
It’s not like they don’t have backups to play on the OL. Ohio State has been battling the same situation all season. Of course, ND can beat Ohio State! I am expecting a solid game from both teams. No one is an underdog here. Good Luck to both teams!
@@bobk381 ND is definitely the underdog. Vegas agrees.
Ha ha
Has Ryan D lost like eight games. Ever? it’s like time for this to stop. As an OSU fan this is extremely weak. Y’all said the same thing would’ve did the same thing to Saban. Go Bucks! That’s the correct response.
👊🏾
49-10 Ohio State only because Second String in second half
👊🏾
That's what ya said about Michigan...
Michigan is sitting at home rn why u still talking abt them
That’s fine. UGA and Penn State said that too
There's always a chance, but I think Riley Leonard will have a hard time breaking down Jim Knowles defense.
👊🏾
@@Squig911 they primarily play man though from my understanding.
You failed at McCord being a better QB
👊🏾
4:00 nope that was Caleb Downs
I’ve been following you for a few years. I hardly ever miss content, can someone please tell me what this step mill is?
Years, huh?
You mean "slippery" like Gabriel (?) who they sacked 8 times & had 13 tfl's ? -- And a - 23 yards rushing ? He was "slippery" ALL YEAR !!! --?--
Versus Penn State, Notre Dames 2 RB studs got 80 yards rushing on 29 carries. The longest was 9 yards. Riley Leonard threw 2 picks. They are a good team but can they score against the glorious Buckeyes?
👊🏾
Charles Jaguash was the original starting Left tackle before he got hurt. He's a 5*
So they're not playing their best players at ND until their second-best players get hurt.
@@numberonecfbshow
Do a little reading buddy yes Jag was our starting left tackle out of preseason to take over for first round draft pick Joe alt....and he was very much hyped up. But he tore his pectoral muscle in preseason and was reported to be out for the season. He didn't start back practicing til around a month ago per coach Freeman. And he didn't come in as the left tackle instead they had him coming in for Billy at right guard when he went down. Look up his size he's a dude like 6'7" and 320
So him doing a good job solidifying the right side when he came in against penn state was not a surprise and as for Baker I think he'll be fine he had been a starter in the past few years he just got beat out by a absolute stud of a freshman.....
OSU better respect Riley’s speed. He’s much faster than expected.
So are Drew Allar, Nico Iamaleava, and Dillon Gabriel. Mobile QB’s are not something Ohio State is unfamiliar with facing.
@@theomarceau8251 he moves different than those 3. He's deceptively fast long strider. Georgia got burned a few times not respecting it and have the same amount of talent on the defense OSU does
Ohio State might have the fastest defense in the playoffs, I don’t think that’ll be much of an issue
@ I agree that we have speed, but you saw Tennessee’s QB slice and dice us on the ground. They better be prepared for that same level of quickness.
If you are unaware of His impact on on these players and this team then you have missed a tremendous narrative for this team. It is well documented.
RJ, man - how far do you get from your computer during football season?
Not really.
has a buckeye fan I must admit that I'm a little disappointed that unfortunately Notre Dame will not be play without two of their starting lineman. I don't want them to say that Texas was a real national championship game, I wanted to be to Midwest teams duking it out of course with my Buckeyes coming out on top.

👊🏾
Osu might have some new injuries too though.
Notre Dame is a really good team but the Buckeyes are on a different level. Ohio State wins 35-3.

He did not say Spindler was out.
Ohio State’s front seven may be scary, but Notre Dame’s legacy was built on breaking teams that look unbeatable. hot take, jeremiyah love is the best running back in this game. given the osu offensive line, he’d be by far & away the best rb in cfb. his athletic prowess has been on display, with less. these osu rb’s are fast guys that can run in open space.
He is not the number one running back in college football!😅😅😅
@ open to hearing why, when taking into account their offensive lines.
U tripping Judkins and Henderson are better

Have you not watched Ohio State's season and witnessed the reshuffling the O-line multiple times? It's been a struggle bus to get here. Love wouldn't be any better on OSU this year.
