    Thanks for making this video James. Love the armorer/operator series and with the UMP being one of my favorite guns, there's not a lot of in-depth content on them. As a young gun owner, a UMP converted USC is the first HK firearm I've added to my collection so far with a USP coming in the near future once I financially recover from the UMP45 project. Feel like I learned a lot (particularly about the design of the bolt and other internals) despite already having one of these sitting next to me as I watched. I appreciate you sharing your extensive HK knowledge with us!

    Wow, quite the timing. I am doing a UMP 9 vid here this week and had my notes all done but couldn't pass up getting your opinion when I saw the upload. Glad you like it too! People rag on the 9, but imo it's by far the nicest, and really allows you to get the most out of the platform. I had also checked the site earlier and noted that the 9mm was the only model Hk still offers.. sweet, sweet validation hah. Thanks for the in depth look at everything. I wasn't aware of the safety feature with the ejector and extractor, that's very clever - typical Hk

      The nicest if you are too weak for controlling the .45. Sounds like a cope to me. If you are gonna shoot 9 just use an mp5. Ump was designed with more power in mind

    • @arcuz7862
      @arcuz7862 Год назад

      @@bobsmith8786 The UMP was never designed with 'power' in mind. It was designed to kill off the much more expensive to manufacture and therefore less profitable MP5 for good. That failed, the UMP failed (by Heckler and Koch standards).
      You have to be a special kind of idiot, which you undeniably are, to not grasp how a .45 caliber, direct blowback action, all polymer gun with a giant and heavy bolt reciprocating 600 times a minute is in EVERY way inferior to the .40S&W/9x19mm versions of that very same concept.
      You obviously never shot a UMP, certainly not full auto, so yes it's probably other people 'coping' over a topic you have a lot of opinion in contrast to zero knowledge about. Just wait until you find out how much better the 1911/2011 platform is in 9mm, you .45 worshipping fudd.

    Sorry for the off topic ness but figured newer video would be more likely to be noticed. Ive got an AP5 with a high ejection pattern mauling the top of the ejection port window. ❤❤I look at the UMP as a beautifully designed piece but all the polymer would have made it an extremely cheap cheap gun to produce ,,the most expense been barrel and bolt,,i mean like ,,if it had taken off it would have become a huge huge money maker for H&K in the end ,obviously its expansive to get the gun designed and built ready for market but it would have covered those cost very quickly when the whole gun consist of 30 dollars worth of steel and plastic ,,
    Its that extensive use of polymer is more than likely the reason it did not take off .
