they did this in black mop on the last round. I bought it. it is absolutely stunning in black and my all time favorite watch. the way it goes from just being a beautifully made classic black diver to bonkers zelos creation depending on how the light hits it just makes it right for ever occasion
What a killer. I’m glad they reintroduced the minute track. For me, even better if then can extend this into an easy way to track elapsed time like perhaps a dual function bezel. I don’t personally see the point in a dive gmt if it can’t track a dive time, like making a 300m dress watch

I don´t like white colour bezels, why don´t they make a black/grey 24h bezels? I think tgis is the bigest problem with Zelos, their controversial design language. Anyway they seem to be successful for the brand

The fit and finish is quite good for the price, though I can't say my expectations were exceeded--perhaps because I had high expectations ( I think its a little better than Vaer, probably not as good as Christopher Ward). I'm quite pleased with the purchase. So far only the Mother or Pearl has sold out.
I'll be shirt and sweet. This is all good and well, but this dial deserves a dressier watch. As interesting and desirable as it looks on this Mako, I think in the right type of watch this woukd really elevate its potential and enjoyment.
Wish they had put a 24 hour scale on the rehaut rather than a minute track. That would allow me to track three time zones. I don’t mind the 24 hour scale on the bezel, as I could use the lumed triangle on the bezel for timing purposes.
I got a Mako 300M GMT last year, the blue meteorite (ordered the minute it became available). It's a fantastic watch, well made and finished. If I could ask for improvements, they would have to be a thinner profile and titanium. I'm very happy with it otherwise.
I have to disagree with regard to the three 24 hour tracking on a dive watch. Without a 60 minute track the functionality of a dive watch is degraded. It might as well not be a dive watch. Zelos did it right.
I have the previous version Mako GMT in MOP. I have no difficulty at all telling the time without minute tick marks. I do take note of the seconds hand position while reading the minute hand. Yes, it does require a little more thought to read the precise time and I can only set the exact time on the watch every 2.5 minutes. My GMT watches from other brands (Glycine, Orient Star, Seiko and Timex) have both minute and 24 hour markings. My other Zelos GMT is a Spearfish GMT, which only has minute ticks, with no minute numbers on the chapter ring. This gives it a very clean look, but requires more mental steps do use the watch for three time zones. This is the trade off for not putting both minute and 24 markings on the dial.
I've had two Zelos and find them thicker than they need to be. The Vario has the same movement, is made in Japan and not much more expensive at $700 and is much slimmer, though it has no rotating bezel and only 50metres which is its only weakness. That said the Zelos dial is beautiful
The Mako line has probably been my favorite of their divers. However I bought the Blacktip teal MOP Mosaic in the December release and it may be a tie now with the Mako. I did have the first Gen Mako GMT Frost and appreciate this revised case even though just 1mm thinner.
This is the best review of the new Mako. Your lighting and angles were by far superior than some of the lack luster reviews i've seen in regards to this new Mako. Kanpai! I agree with the bezel where the 6 appears to be cutoff. I wish they had rotated the color just past the numerals. That'll catch my eye every time I look at that. That would be the only negative.
I was thinking the problem would have been solved of they had matched the bezel colour to the off-white of the MOP rather than have the stark white. Then the stark white number would have been somewhat visible. It really is such a shame for an otherwise extremely beautiful watch to have such an eye sore. But perhaps that makes it charming...idk 🤷♂
Just had to cancel my order for this watch. It is surely a beautiful dial, but now I've spotted that "6" on the bezel, where it seems half the number is missing, I can't unsee it! Maybe that's why this model is not sold out yet!
@progguy10 I love my Black MOP. I've been wearing it for a week straight in prep for these new ones. I put a nice black cracked leather strap on mine but I think I'm going to keep the metal braclet on this white MOP one.
You can't complain about the excellent build or brand value of Zelos.......(and I've been lucky to handle most of their watches). But I avoid them due to the over designed nature of every watch they make.

Zelos is a Great Watchmaker. But, I can't ever get the one I want as they sell out too fast! Maybe one day.

I'm a bit disappointed they didn't offer any titanium models this time. As being allergic to nickel, watch shopping is a pita.

Literally got one this morning, there was 7 left when I purchased. 2 hours later it was sold out. Crazy.

Lol thats a defect. They finished the hour marker on the 18 on the bezel and just forgot about the 6, it’s basically an unfinished product.
