- Our 10 Diesel Power Challenge 2016 powered by XDP competitors are at Bandimere Speedway, where their trucks are being put to the test of towing a loaded utility trailer (10,000-pounds) through a single 1/8-mile drag strip pass. The quickest time wins the event. Watch as over 9 tons of diesel fury thunders down the drag strip.

Man that black 6.7 powerstroke could've done so much better if he wasn't lifted. Lifting your trucks kills your ability to tow boys, but damn it looks good.
Looks like shit. Went to SEMA last year and all the only cool trucks were lowered, not lifted. There were probably 400+ custom trucks in the outside area.
I take that back, there was an extended bed extended cab f350 that was lifted and had a ramp with a rock crawling jeep on the back of it instead of a bed. That was pretty cool.
I'm not even a Ford guy because I like them all, but it's funny to see all those guys that were calling the fords out on dyno day quiet now.

One thing that amazes me about these compotitions is that you almost never see any desiel trucks made from 2010 or higher. I guess that goes to show the reliablity and capabilty of what the big 3 companies are putting out nowadays. I love all 3, I drive a dodge myself but man, I wouldn´t for one second think about trading my 01 dodge ram in for a new truck that can´t handle the abuse.
Ah the smell of diesel in the morning. :P

This is what I look forward to but I also really like roadkill, dirt everyday and hotrod garage. New release cars really aren't my thing

I was sure they said the girl was from BC in the dyno episode but now they say she's from Alberta, makes perfect sense coz' Alberta is like Texas of Canada, nothing but Pickup Trucks there, BC is way more eco-friendly, especially Vancouver, pickups mostly for work only.

There are only a few models available with a manual here, mainly a couple four cylinders, none of the really big motors afaik
Yep. Only way to get the same runs with a manual is by no-lift shifting, which is a great way to ruin your tranny.

considering most of these trucks have close to or more horsepower and weigh 1/2 as much, these trucks would probably walk them. with 10k on them I don't know.

Horsepower doesn't necessarily relate to real world power, it's gear ratio and transmission

Do all the trucks have to roal coal for a reason or do they only do that on purpose for fun?
It takes 3 things for these diesels not to roal coals. First is an absolutely perfect tune per situation. Thats pretty much impossible to do, so it's either roaling coals or not getting the power out. Second is the emission stuff that robs a significant amount of power. Third is running NOS, and you don't want to exactly do that the whole way down.

we did deletes on ours at mile 48k and still use it to this day with over 205k miles with 755hp and 1588pound feet torque
