What to main in the War Within? Today we’re talking about what ranged dps to play in War Within more specifically. I got 3 choices that made me consider switching my current main and I go over all the in’s and out’s of these specs to give solid arguments on why these should be options for you to pick! Until we finish a proper war within ranged dps tier list, we shall go more in-depth in specs to help you have a better informed decision!

hello you funny duo, i always watch your vids, then quit the expansion few months later, unsubscribe, and then new expac drops and i am here again! glad to see you guys are doing well and sub count is rising, keep pushing the tier lists content and guides etc. they are S TIER!
Whatever team is working on Mage, is clearly the cream of the crop team. Just rotate that team around the other classes so we can actually get some coherent tree's on other spec's.
For the love of the Light, stick them on Shaman!!!
Well, it _IS_ their favorite class so of course they get the best team. Meanwhile, shaman has like 2 people maybe.

The answer is : the one you like because Blizz is shifting classes performance wasy faster than the old xpacs.Toda's meta can become tomorrow's D tier.

Don’t waffle, Mage Priest Evoker and Druid have been there in the meta for a minimum of 3/4 seasons. Demon Hunter 2 seasons.
Depends, a class with alot of utility even if not pumping dps can be more meta than just a big pumper in mythic+
TBH part of why the meta shifts so hard is less about the classes performance, but more because the playerbase reacts wildly to a few % more in damage/healing.
stupidest thing about the game, you can cast one thing one day, the next - gone... no story line, no npc for a quick yarn as to why, just simply no story and no sense

Came back to retail for the first time since shadowlands and picked up Evoker - it's already sold me and I'm deffo going to be maining it in TWW, not sure what to pick for an alt yet
Evoker feels really good in the upcoming expansion.
Looks pretty solid Flame I hope they do something about balance druid's as I'll be maining that going into the war within.

Honestly looking at current gaps in design choose the one with the most utility/survivability

Just thinking about starting over. I love Fire mage. I have MOP Remix for another 60+ days. It's easy to get to 70 in 2 hours. I've made a bunch of alts just to help decide what I want to do in the next expansion. What race for Fire Mage?

As an Ele main, I'm holding out hope for a Hail Mary of a spec rework... but knowing Blizzard it's safer to just have my Evoker/Mage/Warlock alts on deck... plus the evoker tier set looks amazing.

I'm still debating between monk(BrM and WW), DK(blood and UH), demo lock, and with the rework hunter
Bro you must update your info about Demo and Desto. First Demo no longer have 100% chance to summon Doomguard and now its arount 20-35%. Second Desto, the overfiend Dmg will be nerf and should do around 40% of chaos bolt dmg + max 3 cast. If pos watch when wowhead apply new class changes, cuz some times you talk no sense.

Its changes to much atm. By the time any youtuber edit and make these videos its changed
I tested demo without that talent and it still slaps. The bug was not demo being 100%, the bug was that instead of reducing doom by 2 seconds demonic core was reducing it by 20s. It’s still going to proc a ton and still worth taking but is no longer mandatory and the spec does incredibly well without it. I’m still able to nearly double my bm hunter using the template 80’s on the raid dummy per 10 minute parse.
Ima stick to ele shaman they in the vein hope that they get a monster rework lol.
Hopefully we wont be super reliant on meatball procs at some point.

Frostfire mage looks real cool.
I don’t really think it’s that great the comet storm is cool but the frost fire bolt is just basically another phoenix flame, sunfury seems way more unique and brings more burst to the table

Mage is always a safe bet at least one spec will be meta priest is good too.
Shadow priest is not always meta but with PI AND the current version on beta, I don't see them dropping out of meta without some massive nerfage
@@TheShawnMower Shadow priest is very strong always have been.
Before Mythic + dungeons Shadow in raid still had a over 97% above average dps time.
(and that has just continued into Legion BFA Shadowlands and Dragonflight.)
Shadow Priest is literally the 3rd best dps spec in the game in chance of being good.

Just remember: Play what you want. As long as the combined DPS can kill a boss, it doesn't matter.
Unless you're a World First or competitive M+ player. They have to META slave or redefine.
I think a thing can be said if you are a pure M+ pugger with a limited schedule ( you have a life ), and u dont want to be rejected all day, play a fotm reroll and learn it.
For me Evoker looks so fun and the T Set is so badass

@@MarcelianOnline Would also appreciate this - Choosing a main for TWW without beta. I can't do well with a lot of specs in the game these days with the limited time I get to play. I prefer an easier to manage class/spec so I can focus on mechanics better.

Most damage is MM Hunter right now and it’s not even close
Numbers shouldnt even be a consideration right now. Especially if a player knows the player knows the spec better than someone casually playing it. Fire and Destro currently are far ahead of every range, maybe all of DPS as a whole right now.

Dracthyr biggest downfall, to me, is that you can’t choose your race. You can only choose some ugly af version of a human. Like damn, lemme choose what to be. A gnome, a troll, etc.

This video is ALMOST what I’ve been looking for.. here’s something I’ve been wanting, and I think you could get crazy views if you made a series like this in the next couple months leading up to the expansion..
A series of videos that runs through each spec and tell us a summary of what it plays like. Mention how it feels to play as the spec, show us a little simple example of the rotation and general mechanics. No need to go crazy in depth and analyze every single talent. All I can find so far for The War Within class videos are the 18-45 minute videos that massively Galaxy brain discuss every minute detail of each talent and only talk about class changes. For a huge portion of players who are more casual, those videos do nothing for us. If I just want to quickly see what a spec plays like to consider if I want to main it in the expansion, so far there’s no good resource available for that. Trying to decipher the talent trees and abilities pages myself also isn’t great, that’s a lot more of a puzzle/headache than seeing a short-form video explanation.
You could even make it a series, like one video for tank specs, one for ranged DPS specs, melee DPS specs, healer specs, etc.
Really hope you’d consider making some videos like this! Choosing a new main is always an exciting thought, but I have such little time and energy to research it all myself.
