Perhaps an interesting design direction to explore a bit further down the road: What if they can give each class a few options of specialisation in an elaborated hero talent framework whereby depending on your option your character will scale better with different secondary stats. Like Rider of the Apocalypse has more boundary characteristics attached to it that make it scale better with haste. Deathbringer Crit, San' layn Vers. That way you can kind of tweak spec depending on what gear you have available but also on some fights you are stuck on. Or simply opt for the stat you like the most, instead of being stuck on predetermined bis stats to mindlessly be dependent on that makes it an element close to not existing in terms of self determination in its current state. It would also make more group comps viable. If you have for example a fight that you are stuck on because your healer is a bit under geared or simply needs ramp up time and one of your other group members you like to play with otherwise is simply a bit squishy as a class, everyone else could switch their hero spec to versatility so that incoming damage is less across the board so you compensate for the healers time requirement. If you want a quicker run instead you all make strategic choices as a collective that makes sense accordingly. Gives a way to tackle challenges in different ways within a group, rather than that decision making only being possible during the group selection process. It has plenty of other advantages too, and probably some issues as well.
I feel like Pack Leader should have something feral, where they get to go up close and lead their pack from the front. Sentinel should invoke the moon, but should be race neutral. Something that makes you want to howl at the moon, even if it's not mandatory.
I'm most excited for lightsmith personally. I really enjoyed off healing as prot paladin in DF. To have even more support and buffs for my allies is really exciting.
How is Druid of the Claw S-tier? Increased dmg in bear form might be pretty decent as a feral druid, but when am I ever gonna use cat form as a guardian druid for anything other than movement speed in between packs? The answer is never - unless the 'increased tankiness in cat form' means it's AS tanky as my bear form
Not necessarily. Druid of the claw keeps 80% of all armor and hp of bear, as well as keeps all iron fur stacks, and regens when changing to cat. Atleast during incarn, where you have infinite fur stacks, you'd definitely still be unkillable as a cat
I've been checking every day for updates since two of the classes I play, Rogue, Shaman, don't have all of theirs on the alpha yet. I'm pretty excited about Diabolist as a Destro player, Hellcaller might be ok too with instant immolate/wither but doesn't have the same Wow factor.
Using Mage as an example: What if I play Frost, and want to play Frost, because I don't like Fire or Arcane mechanically OR thematically? What if I was already happy with my class / subclass fantasy? I get that they're trying to emulate popular characters, give players something new, etc... but it kinda messes with the people who JUST wanna be a Frost Mage, y'know? Not sure if I'm into it , personally. But I know a lot of people are gonna be happy with it :)
So everything you didn't mention is somewhere in the middle? Why didn't you go over all of them? You completely skipped ALL warrior hero talents, and the other two DK ones. Why not talk about all of them in one video?
I don't suppose there's any chance we'd get to have a look or a copy of the full table from 2:30? I'd be very interested to see what the notes on Voidcaller and the warlock Hero Talents are like.
As a bm hunter i couldnt care less. If you have been playing wow for as long as i have, you care about not *losing* spells, and you are usually largely indifferent about new ones. Flavor and utility is nice but we allready have so much of it its hard to complain. Also those new stables are just chef's kiss.
For demon hunter Fel scarred as far as abilities is what I wanted. Passives that help meta. I just hope it has cool effects to really push it for me. I think it is still one of the ones not finished on alpha as far as effects.

Priest was my main for years, but this cosmic void stuff just makes me not like my Shadow anymore, I also didnt like that focus on Void only in Legion with the rework. The OG shadowpriest was never about these cosmic void things, I think its stupid. Im maining DK now, at least DK has its identity somehow left, gameplay balance issues maybe aside but unlike ShadowPriest. HolyPriest though, I think its identity is much better today than ever before.
A long time ago Blizzard floated the idea of Paladins being able to throw their sword 30 yrds away and then teleporting to it. I forgot what the spell was called but I was excited about it. They canned the idea at the last min. As far as Templars?...It's okay I guess, hammers raining down is sort of meh imo.
Although I am happy my shadow priest is getting saved 😭 I am pretty disappointed in the Evoker talents. Scalecommander is merely a buff, and I would have hoped Flameshaper would have turned all of the abilities red at the very least. Here's to hoping for updates, but I'm not expecting it whatsoever
@SlingbladeOfficial1 It always feels like the entire spell 'kit' is just light and relatively stays that way for the expansion classes. I agree, though, very unlikely we see changes that actually add more abilities than they've already shown.
IMO, hero talents (just like main talents) need to offer some degree of choice between passive boosts and active mechanics in order to become a successful game feature. I'm sure some people will disagree with me and think "what's the point of having more passive boosts that don't scale with player skill so everything just needs to tune up accordingly?" And there will also be some who disagree and think "yet another variable / buff / resource to keep track on an already over-complex rotation?". The big point here is *choice*. And that's tricky to achieve. Each spec will have access to two hero talent trees, and a few smaller choices within them, and each choice is going to be available to two different specs, which pushes Blizzard into a very tight corner if they want to achieve both balance and player choice. They have the tools, but the timing to properly tune everything might be a bit tight.
I really wish you could opt out of either hero talent tree for a flat damage buff. For every class fantasy being realized there's another talent tree doing something nobody asked for.
Some of these hero talents are fucking AMAZING , mage, druid, warlock and priest is just so fucking good. I probably have to play all those in tww tbh, jesus, ill never be able to decide on a main!

It has plenty of other advantages too, and probably some issues as well.
A link to the spreadsheet would be dope. Or even a digital layout that's easy to share.
I love how the new void abilities resemble the night fae covenant abilities from Shadowlands
My Gpu is going to cry
I feel like Pack Leader should have something feral, where they get to go up close and lead their pack from the front.
Sentinel should invoke the moon, but should be race neutral. Something that makes you want to howl at the moon, even if it's not mandatory.
I'm most excited for lightsmith personally. I really enjoyed off healing as prot paladin in DF. To have even more support and buffs for my allies is really exciting.
Excellent breakdown Bellular!
I want to play a new class on TWW and I might try priest. The animations looks wonderful
I’m stuck between wanting to play Voidweaver or Frostfire. Both look like so much fun
Guess I’m gonna go level my DK, Warlock, and Druid.
for guardian druids waving around at least on m+ would still get wrecked to the next life if you swap off bear form to cat.
Not necessarily. Druid of the claw keeps 80% of all armor and hp of bear, as well as keeps all iron fur stacks, and regens when changing to cat.
Atleast during incarn, where you have infinite fur stacks, you'd definitely still be unkillable as a cat
I'll just patiently wait in my corner for the shaman talents to come out
I've been checking every day for updates since two of the classes I play, Rogue, Shaman, don't have all of theirs on the alpha yet. I'm pretty excited about Diabolist as a Destro player, Hellcaller might be ok too with instant immolate/wither but doesn't have the same Wow factor.
I'm pretty excited. All the winners so far are my main and three alts lol (lock main, play all the rest a lot outside of paladin and druid)
Man the good Hero Talents look REALLLLLLY good.
The Mountain of muscle and scars talent for colossus warrior is just S tier.
I was literally dreaming about being an undead on an undead horse.
I think we're going back to DK baby!
Sooo excited for these next few years of wow
Not surprised about hunter. Blizzard has been hating on BM forever and what they did to SV is downright criminal.
You just gotta have BellularGaming news ,good job people 🎩🙋🏼♂️
Once again, Warlocks stay winning
If only they would give us an actual shadow type shield for priest that we’ve been asking for, for a long time
DK's Vampires are reported to be really cool. And the last one too.
Well I love how survivals always in the bottom of attention. Just the best feeling ever when your main sucks.
As a longtime warlock player, I feel Diabolist shares the same critique you have for packleader hunters. Its just more Demonology warlock. just flashy
These look so cool. The priest and mage look dope, but personally I can't wait to spawn my army of demons and reign hellfire down
prot pala looks plain AWEFULL.
Welp. So long, Survival, it's been real. Back to Spriest I go!
Man I cannot wait to try out voidweaver as a longtime shadow priest main. Looks sick
I was torn between ele shaman and shadow preist. But with this info, i'll deff roll shadow priest. Old Gods are a vibe
As a bm hunter i couldnt care less. If you have been playing wow for as long as i have, you care about not *losing* spells, and you are usually largely indifferent about new ones. Flavor and utility is nice but we allready have so much of it its hard to complain. Also those new stables are just chef's kiss.
Blizz giving priests good shit constantly, must be a day ending in "y".
the winners are winners for sure. But tbh I really just wanted new colors and attack effects.
Sunfury MAGE ! I am back baby! :D
As a main shadow priest I am happy. Idc if they gonna suck or not, the visuals looks fking awesome
I’m happy that they’re letting people rest the entire trees in ALPHA instead of waiting for Beta or Prepatch.
As a way of the red crane enjoyer, conduit of the celestials looks to be S tier
You mentioned how Sentinel is super race-focused but not for Sunfury? I personally don't want my Arcane Mage looking like a Blood Elf Fire Mage.
For demon hunter Fel scarred as far as abilities is what I wanted. Passives that help meta. I just hope it has cool effects to really push it for me. I think it is still one of the ones not finished on alpha as far as effects.
"A lot of our fears were overblown." In the WoW community!? Noooo! Couldn't be! What a shock 😮
DK get’s S, that’s all i needed to hear thanks! Bb 🤘🏻
Was hoping to see something about Dark Ranger but oh well.
WHERE IS WARRIOR WHAT HAPPENED TO WARRIOR :(
okay but where is warrior at all in this video?
He was just covering winners and losers. Not the in betweens. He addressed it at the end of the video
We're almost always losers or mid. Get used to it.
@@Silphagewe get nothing good we get nothing bad. We get nothing if were honest. But hey they give us back talents that were baseline before. So again. We get nothing.
Who cares? Most warriors rerolled paladins already, I will too in War Within.
@vondry87 I'd rather not be the 5th paladin in our 15 person raid team.
I'm curious to see what spellslinger's visuals will look like
Priest was my main for years, but this cosmic void stuff just makes me not like my Shadow anymore, I also didnt like that focus on Void only in Legion with the rework. The OG shadowpriest was never about these cosmic void things, I think its stupid. Im maining DK now, at least DK has its identity somehow left, gameplay balance issues maybe aside but unlike ShadowPriest. HolyPriest though, I think its identity is much better today than ever before.
“Shadow” was vague enough to mean anything from Troll voodoo to Nelf priestesses worshiping the new moon. Void is just malignant purple fart clouds.
A long time ago Blizzard floated the idea of Paladins being able to throw their sword 30 yrds away and then teleporting to it. I forgot what the spell was called but I was excited about it. They canned the idea at the last min.
As far as Templars?...It's okay I guess, hammers raining down is sort of meh imo.
as a shadow priest for life, This made me very happy
Although I am happy my shadow priest is getting saved 😭 I am pretty disappointed in the Evoker talents. Scalecommander is merely a buff, and I would have hoped Flameshaper would have turned all of the abilities red at the very least.
Here's to hoping for updates, but I'm not expecting it whatsoever
@SlingbladeOfficial1 It always feels like the entire spell 'kit' is just light and relatively stays that way for the expansion classes.
I agree, though, very unlikely we see changes that actually add more abilities than they've already shown.
7:48 Hold the phone, is the water elemental back?!
should make a video that focus on tanks, healers, melee and ranged dps.
"Now that I'm almost 30"
Rogue trickster should allow the rogue to taunt one attack that hits the rogues after effect that deals damage to the mob and all enemies around it.
Cries in hunter....
I really wish you could opt out of either hero talent tree for a flat damage buff. For every class fantasy being realized there's another talent tree doing something nobody asked for.
I love how Farseer isn't even worth mentioning. Not only Blizzard, but also Bellular, ignores shamans....lol.
As always. Us shammies get shafted
Some of these hero talents are fucking AMAZING , mage, druid, warlock and priest is just so fucking good. I probably have to play all those in tww tbh, jesus, ill never be able to decide on a main!
