Fun fact about the comma bit in Take a Break: Although that specifically didn’t happen in real life, (if I’m not mistaken) there was something similar where the real _Angelica_ left a comma in the middle of the phrase “My dearest, Alexander”. Hamilton then proceeded to call her out on it in his next letter, writing something to the effect of “I see you placed a comma in the middle of the phrase there. I don’t know if you meant it, but I will know if you repeat the same mistake again.”
The only fun fact I can give rn is this: Peggy's life was simply not exciting enough to show more of. Along with time, and the fact that the actress for Peggy (Jasmine) is the same actress for Maria. @@LostTempest I always figured that was Alexander referencing his infidelity, not Peggy's passing. If it was a reference to Peggy though, it would be an equally vague reference as the count being off for the lyric "558 men who died under your command" referencing Elpenor's death in Epic.
Reynolds plays the Schuyler's father in act 1. If Casper remembers, they spoil the whole show for you in the opening song, when they get to "I loved him" notice it's all 3 sisters singing it but "Peggy" is Maria Reynolds in that moment.
Couple of things: 1. Hamilton's life takes a sharp downward spiral after he says Macbeth which is a reference to a theater superstition of saying Macbeth being bad luck. 2. At the end, y'all need to go back to Alexander Hamilton. 3. Y'all should check out the cut songs as well as the Hamilton mixtape. Jill Scott as a version of Say No to This from Maria's perspective called Say Yes to This and it is amazing.
Two really cool things to note. In "helpless", Eliza is the one who says it but Hamilton never does. Meanwhile, in "say no to this", it is only Hamilton saying helpless. 👀 The second thing is just a bit of musical theater reference where the notes for "nobody needs to know" comes from a Jason Robert Brown musical called the "last 5 years" which is so musically satisfying.
A few fun facts about things that you can see in this set of songs! The whole superstition with "the Scottish play" is that if you say the name of the play on stage, you invoke bad luck. And Hamilton's story begins a very awful spiral after he says the word while writing to Angelica. Speaking of, Angelica's line, "Screw your courage to the sticking place" is Lady Macbeth's line while telling her husband to kill Duncan. Ominous, given all that happens afterwards. Peggy was likely struggling with her health around this time, but she died a little later than the beginning of this act. In fact, she happened to die around the same time as someone ELSE... :))) Philip and Eliza's duet at the beginning of this is an invocation of "Ten Duel Commandments". :))) A lot of the story with Maria Reynolds is speculative (as is the supposed attraction with Angelica), and part of the affair was supposedly letters that she wrote him (as evidence of the infidelity), but this was at a time when women (especially poor women) weren't as well educated in writing. There are insinuations that the scandal was concocted to cover for OTHER misdeeds that Hamilton was being rightfully accused of, but we'll never know the full truth because Maria never got to tell her side. This song is why Peggy/Maria joins the other Schuyler Sisters in "Me, I Loved Him". The guy who played James Reynolds also played Philip Schuyler in act 1, that might be where you recognize him from, though Mortius is right about him stepping in for bit roles. Still, interesting casting choice. :) In "Helpless", Alexander never actually says "Helpless", just heavily implies he will. But in "Say No To This", he finally says it, with a woman who is touching on JUST enough familiarity with both Schuyler Sisters Alexander is implied to have feelings for. Anyway enjoy my essay lol XD I'm loving these thoughtful and analytical reactions you guys are doing! Keep it up, you guys are doing great!
Something I noticed 18:15 Angelica's line is 'screw your courage to the sticking place' which is another Macbeth reference. It's a lady macbeth line and considering the early symbolism it almost feels like Angelina is almost more of a reflection of Hamilton then Eliza is.
Can I just say how much I love the line "I trust you'll understand the reference to another Scottish tragedy without me having to name the play" because people at this point actually believed that Macbeth was cursed, Shakespeare apparently name dropped incantations that actual witches would use, so it was very common at this point (and even somewhat today) to refer to Macbeth as the Scottish tragedy, rather than call it by its name
Hey boys! No musical spoiler here The "with a comma after dearest" was actually a mistake Angelica made and Hamilton ranted to the changed meaning to her in his next letter, at least what I've heard Also Jefferson was actually afraid of Angelica, if he thought she was going to be at an event he wouldn't go (I don't remember if he had a reason for it)
That is correct. The "My dearest, Angelica" line was actually reversed. It was Angelica who made the error and Hamilton who teased her about it. She wrote "indeed my dear, sir if my path was strewed with as many roses." He retorted "There was a most critical comma in your last letter. It is my interest that it should have been designed; but I presume it was accidental. Unriddle this if you can. The proof that you do it rightly may be given by the omission or repetition of the same mistake in your next." He further teased her when he ended the letter "Adieu ma chere, soeur." Which translates as "Goodbye my dear, sister." With the comma sarcastically placed after dear.
@@joematthews4952 oh, good it's true because otherwise I'd have believed in misinformation for a real long time I've never actually read the letters and those are actually way better than Alexander just lecturing her on them this is golden
@miss_eyem I love reading his letters. My favourite has to be the one he wrote for Eliza in the event he didn't survive his duel with Burr. It was said letter that Hamilton is writing during the song "Best of Wives and Best of Women." He wrote the following; To Elizabeth Hamilton, This letter, my very dear Eliza, will not be delivered to you, unless I shall first have terminated my earthly career; to begin, as I humbly hope from redeeming grace and divine mercy, a happy immortality. If it had been possible for me to have avoided the interview, my love for you and my precious children would have been alone a decisive motive. But it was not possible, without sacrifices which would have rendered me unworthy of your esteem. I need not tell you of the pangs I feel, from the idea of quitting you and exposing you to the anguish which I know you would feel. Nor could I dwell on the topic lest it should unman me. The consolations of religion, my beloved, can alone support you; and these you have a right to enjoy. Fly to the bosom of your God and be comforted. With my last idea; I shall cherish the sweet hope of meeting you in a better world. Adieu best of wives and best of women. Embrace all my darling children for me. Ever yours, A.H." Eliza had it tough. She lost her son, husband, sister, father, brother in law and, for all intents and purposes, her daughter, in just two years.
@@joematthews4952 actually wtf that was so sweet you might reshape my whole view of Alexander Also damn, in just two years?? People really were dropping like flies
@miss_eyem Hamilton is an interesting figure. He was a great man who was deeply flawed, as all great men are. In some ways, the musical makes him appear worse than he truly was, and in others, it has him appear better. I think if you get a real grasp on Hamilton, you generally come to the conclusion that he was a good father, a very intelligent man, a good husband, and generally did what he did with the best intentions. However, of course, he did have many faults that can't be ignored. Cheating on Elisa was despicable, and I don't think anyone could argue otherwise. He definitely didn't take perceived slights well, really held grudges, generally thought himself better than most others and was extremely conscious of his image, which he held in the highest esteem. I would highly recommend reading his letters. I would also recommend Ron Chernow's biography of Hamilton. It's by far the best biography anyone has written on him. You will learn so much.
I don't think he was writing to Angelica in secret because everyone back then kind of described them as intellectual soul mates. Because Angelica's intelligence was the only one that matched Hamilton's. But Eliza knew they were close and knew her sister would never betray her.... Hamilton is another story
Hysterically accurate Angelica maybe. Show Angelica would jump Hamilton and betray Eliza in a second. Only a thirsty ho would say the shit to Ham that she does.
Also the Macabeth bit is a theatre supersition that if you mention the play in theatre it will wall go wrong, which is why alexander says that why he says the line, and says hes hes sure she knows what play its from without him having to name it. He then mentions the character of macbeth, which is not the same under the superstition but it is the point at which eveything starts to go wrong. Also morteus Angelica was herself in regular corresponsance with Thomas Jefferson at this time and were also friends so shes saying basicaly I know you both im sure you can come to a agreement.
9:33 Honestly, Lin has a habit of putting his friends in OBC roles or straight up writing roles for them. Chris Jackson (Washington) was one of Lin’s best friends and was Benny in OBC In the Heights. Anthony Ramos (Laurens/Phillip) took over the role of Usnavi after Lin stopped performing the role, leading to him working with Lin in “21 Chump Street”. Leslie Odom Jr. (Burr) performed in a production of “Tick, Tick…Boom!” alongside Lin in 2014. Daveed Diggs met Lin through Lin’s old freestyle rap group Freestyle Love Supreme, and was one of the first people to join the team for Hamilton.
The farmer was a different person, however Mr Reynolds did also play one of the guys who comment on the constitutional convention, ‘who the eff is this’. :)
He has more than just a son. When his 9 year old rap he said I have a little sister but I want a little brother too. He has more than one child at this point.
Im pretty sure at this point in the musical that Peggy is actually dead. Its just never mentioned since shes not an important character to the plot Edit: apparently she isn't dead yet, but she does die during act two and it's never mentioned
She’s not dead at this point tho, she died in 1801, the affair between Alex and Miria took place between 1791-1792, not to be rude but a quick google search would’ve told you that.
someone already commented the historically accurate Peggy death, but since the musical tends to shift when and how stuff happens to fit narration (e.g. another character's date of death, or how Burr was not actually Lee's 2nd in the duel) I feel the need to add in-musical reason to believe Peggy is not yet dead. Clothing is very accurate in this musical. Back in this time, when a close person dies, it is custom to wear black. Neither Eliza or Angelica has been seen wearing black at any point... untill 1 point later on. During a certain scene (trynna keep this spoiler-free, so all I will say is... 7. fans should know), Eliza is wearing black. It is at this point that the musical Peggy dies. This makes sense, cuz the event that happens at this point in the musical also aligns with the year of Peggy's death irl.
Angelica actually spent quite a good amount of time in Jefferson’s company, while he was in France. They just don’t mention it here ALSO LIN CALLED THE COMMA THING COMMA FLIRTING AND I DIE EVERYTIME I THINK ABOHT IT God say no to this is such a bop despite the topic (ALSO the red and green colour contrast)
"Say No to This" is my favourite song in Hamilton, I *love love love* singing it. It's so satisfying as a singer managing to get that "Stay" note. And it impacts the plot and characters so heavily - it's fantastic. I just adore the song. Fantastic.
Since you brought up colours with Jefferson And Burr I've been looking out, and I find it cool that Eliza and Hamilton are wearing similar Shades of Green for this section. They're on the same page, tho Hamilton's expression is darker, while Elizabeth has a bit of a lighter colour to her dress
Like I've said before (I don't remember in who's channel early on), but Alexander and Angelica were most definitely kindred spirits, and they were attracted to each other, but they never had a thing because Angelica loved her sister too much for that sort of thing. So they just remained close friends who could discuss politics, which Elizabeth wasn't really interested in.
I know I'm not the first person to say this, but Peggy does die early on in her life. Not at @16:14 this point, she would probably very well still be alive. But she did marry late and did pass away in her early 40s from an illness. Fun History Fact: There was an actual reason Eliza and her kids and Angelica were going to stay their father, it was due to a yellow fever outbreak.
and before someone comes in with the "oh but musical shifts stuff, so it doesn't need to be accurate" arguement. While it's true the musical alters stuff to fit the story... There is a certain scene later on with a major event that also happens in 1801 irl. During this scene, Eliza is seen wearing black, a colour only really worn during times of grieving (back in those days). So it's more than logical to assume that even in the musical's shifted timeline, Peggy is just living her own life at this point.
10:23 "Eliza I've got so much on my plate" while they are about to eat dinner. I never really noticed that pun until I realized he says "safe my plate" earlier. Kind of funny to imagine he is just saying "how am I supposed to eat that much" here
the actor that plays Mr. Reynolds also plays Mr. Schyler, Penny's father, in act 1. There was historical doubt as to whether Reynolds sought to entrap Hamilton and the husband and wife were in on it together, or if the blackmail came after the affair had begun
It is interesting to notice from this point on in Hamilton, Eliza doesn't sing/say "helpless" anymore unlike in previous songs where she would sing/say it occationally.
My theory on why they switch between the gang vocals and the harmonies in Say No is bc its meant to represent Alex's inner turmoil of "This is awful, I can't do this" and giving in to her temptations and teasing of like "Really, how could you say no to this~?"
Mortius really went “Why are you rolling perception checks? This is meant to be an interlude?” 😂 In the international run of Hamilton, they replace “John Addams doesn’t have a real job anyway” with “Vice President is not a real job anyway” for more context and it gets the same laugh, I can’t. #WheresElpenor2k24
I can't wait until I see half of it 'cause I'm watching another premier that I cannot miss that one and also Smart bois: One who stays loyal to someone The other one who just had an affair 'cause it's not criminal it's American! 💀🔥
Eliza: Angelica! Angelica: Eliza! Peggy: And Pe- Alexander: The Schuyler sisters! Peggy: That’s a nice marriage you got there Alex. Sure would be a shame if someone were to (changes into red dress) ruin it completely.
Idk how else you wanted them to have someone play a 7-8 year old in a play without getting an actual 7-8 year old. Most of the time it is just an adult playing the child.
This has probably been said but one of my favourite bits about Take a Break is when he says ‘they think me Macbeth’ he’s sealing his own fate as (in the UK at least I don’t know if it’s the same overseas) but saying the name Macbeth in a theatre is BAD LUCK and brings the ghosts onto the show so when he says Macbeth he’s putting bad luck on himself
Dude-- Peggy *_entirely disappears_* from Act 2, and it is never addressed in the play! I believe the implicit assumption is that she died somewhere between acts 1 and 2. Her actress, as you may have noticed, comes back as another character, just like the other three
So I do actually have a really big question, and it's for Mortius specifically, so Casper probably don't read ahead and have Mortius look at this comment in your place if you see this. Knowing that it was technically cut, but considering it also has one of the most powerful performances in all of Hamilton, would you consider showing Casper "Congratulations"? I thought of it because he mentioned how good the female cast are, and...well, Congratulations might be the best example of that.
In helpless when Angelica goes over to Alexander and Eliza is watching them talk Eliza is covered in the blue lights while Angelica and Alexander are in orange lights as well.

I kind of wish they gave a little bit more background on Mariah Reynolds. She is often Portrayed as a temptress, but in reality, she probably ver ymuch did not have a choice. It is unclear wether or not John reynolds Pimped her out from the start, but what is clear is that, without her husband, Mariah had next to no means of earning money. And she needed money, not just for herself, but also for her daughter. So when John ran out on her, she probably did the only thing she could: Find a rich guy, preferably one who might not be to terrible to her and get him to sleep with and pay her on the regular. As i said, it is also possible that the whole thing was orchestrated with John Raynolds from the start, but even then, Mariah wouldn't have had much choice. Divorce wasn't really an option and it seems pretty clear that John was a wifebeating asshole, so she would have had put up wth it in any case. So no matter how you turn it, Mariah had very little choice in any of this. She was just trying to get by with her daughter.
A friend of mine has started showing me a set of musical-esque albums called Ayreon that started releasing back in the 90's. I doubt it's something that would be covered here as it's very prog-rocky/metal-ish and heavy, but there's a good 7-ish 60-120min albums off the top of my head and I'm loving it so far. Basic rundown for anyone interested, in the first album, a blind prophet - Ayreon, from the age of Merlin - receives visions sent back in time about the end of the world in 2084. In future albums, it delves into really fun topics like alien life and dependencies on technology, and one of the albums follows 8 people plucked from different moments in history into a futuristic castle, which many of them at first believe is the afterlife. It's got a very sci-fi kinda vibe to it, and I cannot recommend it enough - but it's not for everyone :D

They show this with the "dont leave me with him, helpless~" and at the end of the song, if you pay attention you can see and hear james smacking the money against his leg to "signil" maria to follow him, probably why she keeps looking back as shes leaving
The affair could have also been a whole lie to save the rumors going around about alexander embezzling money from the government (tell me if i said that wrong cuz i dont know lol)
AND the guys Casper noticed before in the background that hes mentioned IS James Reynolds.
Tbf they don't mention Peggy's death at all in the musical so the comments still apply
I admit, I admire you (sorry I'm thinking of falsettos) for writing this. Also I'll subscribe to your RUclips channel
@@boop-9167 yes, but still.
At this point in the musical, Peggy has not died yet
@@GodofWine thank you🎀
Fun fact: The Reynolds's eventually got divorced, and Maria's lawyer was Aaron Burr.
OUCH
And Arron Burr's 2nd wife divorced... And her lawyer was none other then Alexander Hamilton Jr.

Jasmine Cephas-Jones (Mariah Reynolds vocalist) is so unbelievably talented. I nearly combusted the first time I listened to Say No To This.
Casper unintentionally rolled a Nat 20 with his slip of Peggy and Elpenor. Both died and nobody noticed.
She’s not dead at this point tho, she died in 1801, the affair between Alex and Miria took place between 1791-1792, not to be rude but a quick google search would’ve told you that.
She still died and nibody noticed, she still died and nobody cared. @@LostTempest
@@LostTempestAlso, stop copy pasting the exact same reply on every comment that mentions Peggy. You sound like a pretentious know it all.
@@whitenobeard I mean TBH Eliza did care because spoiler warning when Alex says to Phillip “your mother can’t take another heartbreak.” It’s because he’s talking about Peggy’s death, not the fact that he cheated.
Couple of things:
They said they did plan to re-listen to the first song once they're done with the musical!
I need their reaction to first burn so badly actually
And Congratulations!!!
Two really cool things to note. In "helpless", Eliza is the one who says it but Hamilton never does. Meanwhile, in "say no to this", it is only Hamilton saying helpless. 👀
The second thing is just a bit of musical theater reference where the notes for "nobody needs to know" comes from a Jason Robert Brown musical called the "last 5 years" which is so musically satisfying.
Philip and Eliza's duet at the beginning of this is an invocation of "Ten Duel Commandments". :)))
A lot of the story with Maria Reynolds is speculative (as is the supposed attraction with Angelica), and part of the affair was supposedly letters that she wrote him (as evidence of the infidelity), but this was at a time when women (especially poor women) weren't as well educated in writing.
In "Helpless", Alexander never actually says "Helpless", just heavily implies he will.
Casper being an Arrowverse fan warms my heart - all of those shows were filmed where I lived, and Smallville in particular was filmed down the street.
Something I noticed 18:15 Angelica's line is 'screw your courage to the sticking place' which is another Macbeth reference. It's a lady macbeth line and considering the early symbolism it almost feels like Angelina is almost more of a reflection of Hamilton then Eliza is.
I love just how happy Casper was to find out him and Mort both have two brothers
"The Gen 3 Pokémon Hoenn Region trumpets" Now that is a man with fine tuned ears
So excited to see Casper''s reaction to 'Say No To This' xD
I know he's gonna be filled with alot emotions
Can I just say how much I love the line "I trust you'll understand the reference to another Scottish tragedy without me having to name the play" because people at this point actually believed that Macbeth was cursed, Shakespeare apparently name dropped incantations that actual witches would use, so it was very common at this point (and even somewhat today) to refer to Macbeth as the Scottish tragedy, rather than call it by its name
Hey boys! No musical spoiler here
The "with a comma after dearest" was actually a mistake Angelica made and Hamilton ranted to the changed meaning to her in his next letter, at least what I've heard
Also Jefferson was actually afraid of Angelica, if he thought she was going to be at an event he wouldn't go (I don't remember if he had a reason for it)
That is correct. The "My dearest, Angelica" line was actually reversed. It was Angelica who made the error and Hamilton who teased her about it.
She wrote "indeed my dear, sir if my path was strewed with as many roses."
He retorted "There was a most critical comma in your last letter. It is my interest that it should have been designed; but I presume it was accidental. Unriddle this if you can. The proof that you do it rightly may be given by the omission or repetition of the same mistake in your next."
He further teased her when he ended the letter "Adieu ma chere, soeur." Which translates as "Goodbye my dear, sister." With the comma sarcastically placed after dear.
@@joematthews4952 oh, good it's true because otherwise I'd have believed in misinformation for a real long time
I've never actually read the letters and those are actually way better than Alexander just lecturing her on them this is golden
@miss_eyem I love reading his letters. My favourite has to be the one he wrote for Eliza in the event he didn't survive his duel with Burr. It was said letter that Hamilton is writing during the song "Best of Wives and Best of Women." He wrote the following;
To Elizabeth Hamilton,
This letter, my very dear Eliza, will not be delivered to you, unless I shall first have terminated my earthly career; to begin, as I humbly hope from redeeming grace and divine mercy, a happy immortality.
Ever yours,
A.H."
Eliza had it tough. She lost her son, husband, sister, father, brother in law and, for all intents and purposes, her daughter, in just two years.
@@joematthews4952 actually wtf that was so sweet you might reshape my whole view of Alexander
Also damn, in just two years??
You will learn so much.
i love say no to this and our favorite bean, Phillip
Mr Renydolds was Eliza and Angelica's father
He also plays the doctor.
@@WildWitchyWoman87 they haven't got there yet so I didn't say it
I don't think he was writing to Angelica in secret because everyone back then kind of described them as intellectual soul mates.
In real life, Angelica corresponded with Thomas Jefferson, often. They had a friendship. The letters have been preserved.
James Reynolds isn't the farmer, he's Mr Schuyler when Alex is asking for Eliza's hand
I never noticed if it was in secret or not. Because at the end of the day, writing to a sister-in-law is common especially for the time period.
Reynolds is not from Farmer Refuted. The farmer is Thayne Jasperson, who is still in the show.
John Adams's only "job" was to break a tie in the Senate, so Alex isn't entirely wrong.
The farmer was a different person, however Mr Reynolds did also play one of the guys who comment on the constitutional convention, ‘who the eff is this’. :)
32:48 He played The Schuyler Sisters dad on the song helpless
He has more than just a son. When his 9 year old rap he said I have a little sister but I want a little brother too. He has more than one child at this point.
Im pretty sure at this point in the musical that Peggy is actually dead. Its just never mentioned since shes not an important character to the plot
Edit: apparently she isn't dead yet, but she does die during act two and it's never mentioned
She’s not dead at this point tho, she died in 1801, the affair between Alex and Miria took place between 1791-1792, not to be rude but a quick google search would’ve told you that.
@@LostTempest ok thank you
someone already commented the historically accurate Peggy death, but since the musical tends to shift when and how stuff happens to fit narration (e.g. another character's date of death, or how Burr was not actually Lee's 2nd in the duel) I feel the need to add in-musical reason to believe Peggy is not yet dead.
Casper will finally get the reference ayy :D
Pls profit Casper, tell about the future of this musical again...
Peggy is the Elpenor of Hamilton :)
Angelica actually spent quite a good amount of time in Jefferson’s company, while he was in France. They just don’t mention it here
ALSO LIN CALLED THE COMMA THING COMMA FLIRTING AND I DIE EVERYTIME I THINK ABOHT IT
God say no to this is such a bop despite the topic (ALSO the red and green colour contrast)
34:42 I would argue this is one of the best notes in the entire show.
James Reynolds doesn't play samuel seabery in farmer refuted but he does play Philip Schuyler in helpless when Hamilton asks for his blessing
Oh man, Casper is in for a ride with the next song! It's definitely my favorite in the whole show!
Small fun fact, the guy that plays James Reynolds, I believe, played General Lee in Act 1.
The funniest part of the john adams bit is tmfor people who don't know, he was the vice president at the time
Just gonna clear up the ‘Peggy is dead’ she died in 1801, after the affair which happened in 1790 something. :)
and before someone comes in with the "oh but musical shifts stuff, so it doesn't need to be accurate" arguement.
24:30 Nora Dark reference in 2024?! (Dude I loved her ngl) 😂
Jasmine Jones change up to Maria Reynolds was so amazing. I love her voice there!!
I have been waiting patiently for this moment Ive had say no to this tiktok noises playing on loop ever since the last Hamilton reaction
in the most platonic way possible, Mortius and Casper singing No To This would go hard
22:30 I meeeeean Angelica already had pointed out making a harem for Alexander 😆
To add some credence to Casper's rapping vs singing theory
In Arron Burr, Sir Burr did say "fools who run their mouthes often wind up dead"
and the next person to speak after that line was Lawrence, who was the first major character to die IIRC.
Mortius really went “Why are you rolling perception checks? This is meant to be an interlude?” 😂
In the international run of Hamilton, they replace “John Addams doesn’t have a real job anyway” with “Vice President is not a real job anyway” for more context and it gets the same laugh, I can’t.

Idk how else you wanted them to have someone play a 7-8 year old in a play without getting an actual 7-8 year old. Most of the time it is just an adult playing the child.
Sydney James Harcourt portrayed Phillip Schuyler in "Helpless".
I shriek laughed at the elpenor-peggy slip up😂😂
This has probably been said but one of my favourite bits about Take a Break is when he says ‘they think me Macbeth’ he’s sealing his own fate as (in the UK at least I don’t know if it’s the same overseas) but saying the name Macbeth in a theatre is BAD LUCK and brings the ghosts onto the show so when he says Macbeth he’s putting bad luck on himself
The fact that i had to leave the premier because i was out in public is so sad 😭
Buy also, say no to this is too good of a song for the context
Dude-- Peggy *_entirely disappears_* from Act 2, and it is never addressed in the play! I believe the implicit assumption is that she died somewhere between acts 1 and 2.
Her actress, as you may have noticed, comes back as another character, just like the other three
Please someone show Casper the video of Lin singing ALL Say no to this LMAOOOOO
26:45 I’m just a Maaaan!
I’ve been looking forward to this. That belt on the “stay” lift has always been my favourite note in the whole show.
The guy that played James Reynolds played Philip Schuyler during the first act
So I do actually have a really big question, and it's for Mortius specifically, so Casper probably don't read ahead and have Mortius look at this comment in your place if you see this.
Knowing that it was technically cut, but considering it also has one of the most powerful performances in all of Hamilton, would you consider showing Casper "Congratulations"? I thought of it because he mentioned how good the female cast are, and...well, Congratulations might be the best example of that.
He is going to yes
Casper’s not ready for the Elpenor scene for sure🙏 Nat 20 prediction
In helpless when Angelica goes over to Alexander and Eliza is watching them talk Eliza is covered in the blue lights while Angelica and Alexander are in orange lights as well.
In fact, according to the dates, Peggy would be dead in Act 2, which is why Alexander completes the sentence when Peggy is missing in Take a Break.
The guy playing James Reynolds played Philip Schuyler.

He’ll finally understand the Epic reference!
Ooohhh, I cannot WAIT for the upcoming batch of songs - the next one might be my favorite out of the show!
27:00 basically everyone hearing this for the first time😂
Mr. Reynolds was also the Papa Schuyler, not Samuel Seabury. :)
