3:25 Stormforth allows you to tribute Noir but it doesn't affect the player, it does affect the monsters.
The reason it affects Noir because it's not an "activated" effect, it's a lingering effect.
Hey, I don't understand why you don't use " the monarchs erupt". Try it and thank me in a video later

In what way does Stormforth affect the monsters it's non targeting and non destructive? Monsters have no way to actively invoke their protections against it.

Kashtira being incredible cards that don't need their normal summon with great effects and providing tribute fodder for the Monarchs is just a good combo.
Also to quickly clarify the Stormforth on Expurrely Noir thing. Stormforth counts as a continuous effect, Expurrely Noir is only immune to activated effects.

I also noticed this interaction between Scareclaw Kashtira and Psychic End Punisher. Both PEP and Noir states that "unaffected by opponent's activated effects" but when in Battle Phase and Kashtiras declare atk with Scareclaw Kash on board, all of them gets NEGATED. Scareclaw Kashtira is really broken
As a monarch player this makes me happy to see them thriving in 2023.

Love the video! Monarchs was my first structure deck, so it's nice seeing them be a threat again. Out of curiosity I heard you mention doing some possible swaps to add more Kash cards. What would those swaps be?

i hope one day monarchs get support that are like edea and eidos but also search the monarchs in some shape or form. give them onecard stuff like any other deck has

@@elfyar5786 I get your point (except that Spyral isn’t even close to being a tiered deck right now), but floodgates are not the answer. Half the Kashtira cards just need to be straight banned.

@@Mercaison yea my bad the deck with 3 fieldspell 3 prosp 2 desires 1 teraforming 3 unicorn and the best deck of 2 formats even after the hits wasnt consistent
Lithium what kind of Monarch support would you like to see in the future?
We got a new Thestalos/Caius, maybe a solid tribute engine, better than edea/eidos.
It needs a tribute/normal summon engine like Floow has. Kaiju Monarchs that just tributes the opponents monster as cost to special summon themselves to your own field would be cool too, so you don't have to rely on Stormforth. Can't put too strong an effect on a monster with such powerful summoning mechanic though.
I was considering implementing a very similar combination of Kasthira (I run a deck with them already) with the Monarchs due to Kasthira being able to special summon for tribute summon fodder or being the tribute summon for the Domain when Ehther, Erebus or the Fiends don't reach my hand. Also, it is optimal to use two Upstart in a build like this.
Yes, upstarts are filler for draws. Engine can be added

I tried a variant with just the Fenrirs, 3 Ogres, and Mithra, but I might check this version out. It looks better tbh
It might not be AS consistent(which is funny considering how often Kashtira can brick itself), but Monarch Man makes this look a lot scarier than actual Kashtira boards. Though considering who it is, that's hardly a surprise.

Slight variant for me, I didn't have enough gems to craft Pressured Planet and Kashtiratheosis and a third Erebus so I threw in staples like Harpie, CoH and Raigeki. currently sitting at 10-0.
What would you switch for Fenrir now it's limited to 1?

In the first duel, you actually lost if your opponent wasn't a 0 IQ smoothbrain. They could have tributed Ze Amin to special summon Ogre, then used Ze Amin's GY effect to give Ogre 600 Atk to beat over Erebus. Then they are no longer extra deck locked and could have gone into an unaffected Psychic-End Punisher.
Have you considered using small world and clockwork night helps with consistency against kashtira. I win almost wverytije i open with clockwork night !!!
what do you think about change of heart being at 2 in this deck?
It Is a very good going second card! But I think you want go First with this deck, so Change of Heart Is a brick at turn 1
At 0:48 how did he activate "The Monarchs Stormforth" twice in the same turn??? I thought you could only activate once per turn even if it is negated???

Do you plan on updating this deck for the new Banlist in 2024 I love Monarchs I've been out of the game for 3 years due to a severe leg injury bit ill be getting it fixed soon want to play this deck if you think it's still competitive
I was wondering, even in your IRL build how come you aren't on riseheart? The xyz lock doesn't matter with no ed, and it means you get to keep fenrir and have a free special that destroys part of their deck? Granted its actually worse in the MD build because you have less fenrir with 2 fenrir and 1 field spell opposed to real life with 6 + terraforming but for the IRL version it should be fine right?
It's a brick indeed. Ogre would always be preferred due to it's stats. Heck, I'm even thinking about Tear Kash for extra mills! =D
I'm thinking Unexplored Wind could be spicy tech maybe 1 or 2 is enough

You can’t Stormforth unaffected monsters, it affects the monsters on the field the same way Lair of Darkness does not the player.
I couldn’t find any rulings on Stormforth Vs. “Unaffected by activated effects” (like Noir/P.E.P) so it might work on them I don’t know.
But it’s not one of those cards that “affects the player” so you can’t out things like Underworld Goddess, Arrival Cyberse, Ultimate Falcon etc.
This deck has made so many people surrender in platinum and diamond 😂

It so weird to see a Monarch deck full of only high level monsters. But if anyone can make work, it's Lithium
well those high level monsters are free bodies. its a free real estate

If you want to make Majesty's Fiend viable use the trap card Safe Zone monsters equipped with it can't be targeted destroyed by card effects or battle rendering Kashtira useless.
March does this though? Safe Zone can't be searched either.
@@supersmashdylan March doesn't protect them against battle though and using both ensures you have one or the other in your hand which is optimal.
Why not use Kashtira oger more in monarchs? It a monarch because of its states

Whether it already faces maindeck outs is a separate issue. Whether a deck is a threat depends on what it does, not how common non-engine countering it happens to be right now.
Anytjing kashtyra is gonna be broken you can make kash toons ans its gonna work. This decks are boring. The same happens every season with the meta plus anything... Any card mixed with the new broken meta cards its gonna work.
That's why Fenrir should be banned it's everywhere
