One time I was dueling Elementsaber and the Yugi changed something in grave to "Divine" and I almost freaked out XD turns out it was just to boost his monsters with the field spell (which he played after changing the attribute so I didnt know he had the field spell)

The Aromage player with Bergamont could've held Obelisk, since you can gain 1000 atk each turn till your opponent end phase (get to 3400 on his turn then 4400 during your turn). With this he could stall till he either gets to the field spell and Canaga or double field spell and beat over Obelisk. Definitely makes the match very grind-y bit that is effectively Aromages playstyle

I wonder how good this is now that the new Obelisk Skill is out. Draw Obelisk from outside your deck on turn 3.
Hey! If you want to play Slifer or Ra, you can build the permanent spell card "March of the Monarchs" to target immune all your Tribute Summoned monsters.
There is also the permanent trap card "Escalation of the Monarchs" to tribut summon your (God) monsters during your opponents turn.
Just a side note, Vermilion Dragon Mech can't use it's effect because Shapesister isn't a tuner in the grave, Naturia Leodrake is a 3000 beatstick alternative though!
Bergamot can get u up to 4900 attack on ur opponent turn if u got the field spell. first u gain hp on ur turn, and then gain hp again on ur opponent turn. Ideally when they attack into u and surprise them with that fat 4900 attack on the face

I’ve been using this deck with chain reaction, temple of Kings and mystical beast of serket. Gives some first turn lockdowns with oj king

I tried that deck previously. Temple of kings and serket would be the main reason to brick at first turn. You need three cards to summon Ojama king. A temple without the serket or the serket without temple would be dead cards in hand

Fun idea: Tsukyomi. A trap monster flipped face down goes back down to the backrow. Allowing continual anguish popping. Hell use old school odion chain reaction.
I’ve been using the same type of engine with anguish and tikis for an Erebus deck and it’s pretty darn good

Some girl in the golden rank with this cursed deck defeated my Slifer and Obliesk and her Bergamot got bigger than my obliesk lol
I banished it 3 times but she keeps summoning her again and make her attack more than 4k again i lost lol

The flaw of the deck is you need to make sure do not give the enemy what is your deck is cause if they find out and they are smart they will not attack and you will screwed unless you have that one(I forgot the name) trap card that destroys cards
I had someone do this to me 😂 He still lost tho IDK what not attacking accomplishes because you're going to lose either way. All you're doing is delaying the inevitable. Unless you have a card that destroys all traps or something. Which has happened to me too! This is the reason I only use a deck like this for fun instead of doing ranked with them.

It's to late for Magnets to be any good
Meta is to disruptive and Berserkion Effekt is not enough against Sunsaga or cocytus gets fcked by backrow from Invoked or Shiranui, Even BW can blackbird close you or Blue eyes can Karma cut etc.
I'm sorry but even with 3 betas this deck won't be good.
DM has enough ways to deal with it and lights worn with Zeta kann just banish your Berserkion as well.

Vermillion is good but you don’t have any tuner monsters except shapesister. I’d try cloud castle to get another chance for obelisk and slow down lower level monsters. This deck isn’t for attacking anyways.
What does obilisk do against monsters that can't be destroyed by battle or have over 4000 attack?
Also wouldn't lunalight be more effective? You can set up a saber dancer pretty easy and don't need to rely on a hit from enemy team.
If anyone can point out something I'm missing, please let me know :)

Ive been running Obelisk with Uria in a trap monster deck for a while after the rule change.
My best wins with a trap archetype came from Uria/obelisk combo. Use Temple of the Kings and Serket wisely.

Quick question, what should I replace shapesister and canadia with if those are optional? Also, should I replace the spell card with?
I use Obelisk with Mayakashis as they are easy to swarm with and very persistent.

I had that type of deck 1 year ago 😛 but no synchro monsters.
Why if i summon obilisk, my opponent can activage card effect ? WHEN ITS EFFECT SAY " WHEN NORMAL SUMMON, card and effect cannot be activated" i was gonna win and they use drowning mirror force!!! What the fuuuck OBILISK HAS A BUGG!!!!

IDK about heavy Samurai but yea you're right about the Quintet Magician aka "back row destroyer". Pretty hard to recover from if you let a Dark Magician user get to that card before you can destroy them.

Because japan's interpretation of "gambling" is if you win you get something and if you lose you get nothing.. that's why "gacha" is allowed and always popular in japan because you technically always get something whether its value is lower or higher than the money you spend.. and they're quite strict too, to game devs to not let you spends too much by banning the type of gacha that gives you shards/pieces (eg. you need x amount of shards to get this chara). And more into the "value" thing, game devs doesn't care about your opinion about the value of their charas (or in this case, cards). They just gives "rarity" without any value of actual money. That means you can't specifically buy with real money a certain card from them because technically they doesn't have any price to any single card. That's why "gacha" in japan is technically not "gambling"

funny enough I do play the bergamot because i find the deck needs a beat stick
Yep an if you use 2 garden she can go over 4k atk. I have atleast 1 bergamot an 1 marjoram.

How are people are saying Bergamot could have beaten Obelisk? Correct me if I'm wrong, i just started using aromas, but let's say he did play aroma garden, gain lp, that 1000 atk +500 atk plus the 2400 atk which is 3900?
@@Cabezaxcore true but you'd have to be lucky to pull that right?
Bergamot's atk gain lasts until your next turn, so just gain LP as you summon it (easy with blessed winds, just return an aroma to the deck from the GY) so it becomes 3400. Then on your opponent's turn, as Obelisk attacks, you activate blessed winds again same way as before and thus Bergamot becomes 4400 atk

Kent Hartig it would be worse as swamp mirrorer doesn’t have that removal but I guess you can use it until you get tiki curse

When played right bergamotte can easily reach 4900 atk with piercing battle damage. Thats the absolute trupcard in my aromage deck🤣 enemy bergamotte in that match could only get to 3400+cananga decrese enemys attack by 500 so MISCALCULATION🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

you are correct, but in his eyes, you're wrong. :(
The point in not running it, I believe, is because it uses up a valuable trap zone. Plus, you search obelisk at the start of your turn anyways, so why wait to summon it?
