    I remember one of my coworkers before. He was practicing Keto Diet. I told him what I knew about it, I explained it to him in a nice way. Idk but we're no longer friends from that day. Baka na-offend sya and I apologized that he felt that way, not because I educated him about ketoooo. 😁

      Keto Diet is not a good diet (except if approach was health) since carbohydrates is our main source of energy. Jusko kung naka keto ako baka manamlay lang ako at mabobobo lang sa examinations

    I'm 5 flat since hs and I am 40-45 kg depends on what daily activities I do. 40kg noon pag may school, 45kg kapag nasa bahay aka holiday/summer break. What I did to maintain my normal weight is just to discipline my eating habits, I don't eat junk food but I do not cut off sugar at the same time. I only use sugar when I need it such as for coffee and strong beverages na kailangan talaga ng sugar, I check the ingredients and carbs at the back of any food I take kung alam kung unhealthy or if cheese for example, I always do the checking para sigurado ako. Yun kasi yung for me mas effective kesa magpapayat ka ng walang kinakain, when I was in college I felt na sobrang taba o bigat na ng 45kg kasi yung mga classmate ko tinatawag akong chubby so I cut off my breakfast, rice, etc., Anyare is yung resistance ko and yung memory ko naman yung kinuha saakin so ngayon bumabawi ako while quarantine

    I appreciate that one of the Doctor is educating everyone. Please don't starve yourselves. Carbs aren't the enemy. It is the calories. All food has calories. Hence, too much can lead you to gaining weight. EVERYTHING IN MODERATION/ If you want to loss weight be in a calorie deficit (which you can still eat the food that you like)

      there is no such thing as moderation. Sugar is the enemy. Sino ba may sabi pagutom kayo? Nutritionist lang pala to, dami Doctor nagsasabi carbs are not essential.Paano pala nabuhay mga ninuno natin dati nung wala pang Agriculture? walang rice fruitd and vegetables?

May I remind u na may kanya kanyang specialities ang mga dr, and i believe mas maalam ang mga nutritionist regarding foods kase doon sila nakafocus. Kaya nga w/ regards sa diet ng mga pasyente nagrerefer or nagcoconsult ang mga general physicians sa dieticians and nutritionists. And i'm well aware na mas knowledgeable po si doc kesa sa kontra nyo po.

    Yes!!! I am on diet for almost 9 months and calorie count talaga ginagawa ko plus 30-60 mins workout everyday aaanndd I already lost 33kg. Hehe

      @@johnclifforddudas7527 pag morning bago po ako kakain inom po muna madami tubig, minsan lemon water po sguro after non mga 15-20 mins saka po ako kakain, breakfast ko lang coffee, apple pati pastil pero half rice lang pag tanghali naman po half rice lang din pati gulay or kahit anong ulam basta po in moderation lang, pag gabi naman ulam lang saka prutas kinakain ko. :) pagka 7pm wala na din po ako kinakain basta nag cacalorie count lang din po ako and kung gusto nyo po mag meryenda sa hapon intead of chichirya or kahit ano jan, fruits na lang po talaga. :) anndde wag nyo po kakalimutan na bago po kayo kumain inom po muna kayo tubig. Ganon po kasi ginagawa ko.

      Alamin mo bmi mo, ano ano yung mga macronutrients, ilan required mong calories. Be familliar muna s amga bagay nayn.
      Anyway ive been in bodubuilding for 4yrs. From bulking phase namin nasa around 15 to 18%bodyfat to cutting phase droping from 15 to less than 10% body fat naaachieve namin yun as short as 6 to 8 weeks regardless kung nagtitake ng Performance enhancemwnt drug (which we havent tried yet). Bodybuilding crossfit o ano pa mang fitness style tinatahak nyo, it boils down paren sa mga basics nayan.
      Pag nakilala mona mga diet terms nayan ay di kna mahihirapan maggain or magloose ng taba.

    I did keto diet way back early 2019 but I make sure to make it balance, meat, veggies, avocado, eggs, black coffee. I remove rice and sugar literally at all. I also did fasting and I can say those times nabawasan ang weight ko ng mabilis talaga and in just 3 mos i reached my goal weight 48kg, I feel more healthy, energetic, im most happier and my skin was so glowing and really yun regla ko parang nun highschool ako malakas at umaabot ng 5-7 days. Now Im just maintaning my weight, if ever I felt heavy dun ako nagbabawas ng konting kain. I guess its better to make sure na what u eat is appropriate sa katawan mo at needs mo.

    I have depression right now bc of my weight. My ex told me that my chin tripled and I am ugly. My self-confidence really crashed. My anxiety went up again. I don't want to see people.

    Very good and clear explaination ..me myself is able to maintain my weight for more than 20 yrs now ..the key self discipline,aside from portion control, I always go for healthy and whole foods ..I eat sweet but not everyday do some exercise like walking or doing house chores..stuff like that. I am 42 yrs old ,5'2 weight 110 lbs.

    I lost 40 kilos and it took me 2 years and I have to admit its hard. Portion size, balance diet, lifting weights and running is really the secret. No rice, no sweets, less carbs. Lots of Protein and veggies. Just healthy living.

    I was a little overweight before, I have tried several programs before, I also ried to lessen my food intake, but it only made me crave more and found myself indulging everytime I feel hungry.
    What I did was I signed up for a gym membership, workout at least 3-4x a week, I also stopped eating processed foods and learned how to cook my own food, I stayed away from fast foods, not totally though (guilty🥺) I had to treat myself din 😅(defensive). And now, I've never been more contented with the results. I lost weight by modifying my lifestyle, and by believing I can do it. Hehehe. To everyone out there who has a goal, keep working hard for it. 😊

    Bakit ngayon ko lang napanood ito.. Nag crash diet ako and puro itlog and oatmeal biscuit lang ako for a month.. pumayat ako and lumiit tiyan ko pero biglang bumagsak immune ko and nagkasakit ako and for worse nagpositive pa ako sa covid.. bumawi ako ng kain at exercise habang naka quarantine. Dumagdag nga ako ng timbang pero hindi na ako nakaramdam ng panghihina . Ngayon gagawin ko na ang tip mo doc.. maraming salamat po and god bless

    I hope, a lot of young women will be able to watch this, kaya... share ko na to sa mga friends ko ♥️. As an athlete, minsan nakakasakit ang reaction ng mga tao kapag sinasabi ko ang timbang ko. Sa height na 5'2, dapat daw lower pa sa 48 kilos (nafigure out ko na they were telling me about kpop diets). But I still continue to eat healthier meals and do trainings without compromising my health. Let's promote an advice from the real expert! Tadaaa! Thank you yt!

      Your comment might be 2 months old pero i am the same height and weigh 55 kg. It is possible to look very good at a weight higher than 50kg if you constantly work out. At my lowest weight i reached mga 53kg but i look incredibly fatter than i am now because my belly was bigger. If you're at a healthy weight for your height it's all about the body fat percentage na, the weight doesnt matter much.

    Mornig: juicing/smoothie Lunch and Dinner: steamed or baked salmon/chicken breast/veggies, egg, and quinoa (sub for rice). 30mins cardio every orher day or choose to walk instead of commute. Water or tea instead of coffee and coke. DONT STARVE YOURSELF!!!

    I wouldn't dare do Loisa Andalio's diet. Maybe it's good just as a headstart to get to your ideal weight fast. However, I will revert to a more nutritious diet once I get to my ideal weight. I like how you made the simplest of explanations simpler. This is the most concise yet educational explanation I have ever heard about dieting. You speak not to impress but to enlighten. ❤️🙂

    This is so true, na realize ko lang ito after years of dieting but I'm satisfied now, combining cardio and weights plus right diet. Medyo slow paced pero best sya for the long run. Fad diets will definitely to yoyo effect lang and it's no good

      so true.. fan din ako ng mga fad diets na yan at first i lost weight but later mas domoble yung weight ko at na-try ko na rin yung intermittent fasting wala rin kasi nag bibinge eating ako sa dinner kaya na realize ko na you need to eat smart and exercise to maintain or loss weight

    Doc, I believe you also forgot to mention about body types. Since there are endo, meso amd exomorph. So there are people who don't really eat much pero overweight. And there are thos who eat aloooot pero sobrang payat. :)

    Saken, Intermittent fasting or OMAD lang talaga nagwo-work. Ayoko yung idea na may isang pagkain lang akong kakainin or meron akong hindi pwedeng kainin. Gusto ko, nakakain ko pa rin yung mga fave ko and boring ang mag-calorie counting. Food selection, balanced and healthy diet is very important sa weight loss but method wise, IF best method ko. Medyo mahirap sa umpisa pero pag nasanay na katawan, maganda mga benefits.
    Increased concentration, weight loss, healthier heart plus, it creates discipline. Not recommended to everyone but it surely works.

    THIS IS THE KIND OF CONTENT I NEED! +1sub dokkie! ❤ I have struggled with my weight for 15years, and in those years I tried many unhealthy ways to lose weight- fad diets, slimming tea, coffee and capsules. It worked for a while but then months later, I regained more than I lost. I learned from experience that weight loss is a process and there is no short cut. Today, I am still on my journey towards a normal BMI but this time I am doing things right. I am 150cm and 2 months ago I was 67kg. I now choose what I eat and I count what I eat. I started at 1200kcal per day but just recently I went down to 1032 kcal per day. So far, I am now 59.85 kg and 3 more kgs until I reach a normal BMI. I don't deprive myself from food- I have cheat days and I eat dark chocolate almost everyday! I just make sure it is within my target caloric intake. I also do easy exercises ( like walking lol)- I walk 5km 2x a week and I have step counter to count my steps at work (target 9k steps lol). Losing weight is such a tedious process but I know it's going to be worth it. I'm excited to learn more from you doc! ❤

      Doc bago ako sa channel 90 kgs ako at 15 na.aku nagdiet at nag exercise ang meal ku y 1 and 2 egg a day a kinakain ku sometimes may rebisco biscuit na kasaam pero isang sachet lang at madalas na ako at sa loob ng 15 days 2 liter na tubig ang iniinum at ng vegetable sin and denner ko pero bkit di parin aku pumapayat at ang belly fats ku ay hindi parin nawawala help me po.

    Just dropping this comment to appreciate that our Pinoy professionals/workforce are making RUclips channels (Architects, Engineers, Lawyers, Doctors, etc.) This way, Filipino youths can have professionals to look up to and aspire to become someday. Don't get me wrong but our national TV channels only show celebrity life, family feud, kabits, corrupt/dirty businessmen and the bida is usually the “mahirap na inaapi” which is why we dream less, because we grow up thinking that we should be content with what we already have. Just saying..

    Agree ako dito. Nagpapayat ako since January until now. From 67 to 53 na lang ngayon. Ginive-up ko lang ang sweets, junk foods and process foods pero nagra-rice pa din ako sa tanghali. Around 1000-1200 calories daily. Sinabayan ko lang ng exercise daily. Kahit matagal na proseso okay lang. Mas okay talaga may exercise para pumayat.

    I am glad i stumbled upon this video here on RUclips because i was also planning on losing weight. I already watched a lot of videos regarding dieting but this is the most healthy one! My bestfriend also said to me (she's a future doctor btw) that it's better to lose weight slowly kasi mas matagal i put off ang weight kaysa mabilis ang pag lose, and then gain the weight back easily after.     Doc. 105 kilos po ako dati and now 75 nalang because of crash diet and dahil dito sa video na to I have realized na kaya ko pala naeexperience yung "YOYO" na ang bilis kong tumataba then go back to crash diet again but when I watched this clip, i'm gonna follow ur tips or the proper way of losing weight instead. Thanks doc!

    Namaintain ko nga body ko kahit di ako nagbawas ng pagkain. Exercise lang talaga.. Sarap kasi pag nagpapawis na katawan mo parang ang gaan sa feeling

    FINALLY!!! someone professional reacted to this, this is also very alarming I actually have a friend who's obese before then just after 2 month he lose a 'LOT' of weight due to not eating rice and only eating breakfast and constantly drinking water for the rest of the day . After he lose a lot of weight he didn't gain it back anymore and he constantly lose more.

    balanced meal talaga. Wag sobrang food. at plate portioning palagi. ang dami ko na natry, even yung egg diet. totoo namang papayat ka. kaso short term effect lang . Biglang mabilis ang Rebound sa katawan. Pag kumain ka ng normal, mabilis din ang taba mo. ilang araw ka nagtiis sa itlog pero tataba ka din agad. babagal pa metabolism mo.

      Maganda naman yan. Pero hindi yan agad gingawa. May mga paghahanda ka muna na dapat gawin, more on vegan diet ka muna. Sasanayin muna yung katawan mo sa mga ganung pagkain. Bago ka talaga mag start sa ganyang fasting.

      Kahit Naka- IF pero malaki parin yung calorie intake at no exercise, balewala rin. Strategy lang siya para mas madaling mag-reduce ng calories. Pero dapat gamitin sa tamang way. Prone pa sa acid reflux kapag biglang kain after mag-IF.
      Knowing the BMR, TDEE, Macros, Calorie Deficit at pakikinig sa mga nutritionist/dietician, - Ito talaga yung healthy ways for weight gain/loss and of course knowing your BODY TYPES (Endomorph, Mesomorph, Ectomorph).
      Para iwas kumpara sa iba.
      We are blessed in different ways. 🥰☺️

    This is so trueee! What I've been doing for 3mos now is i eat everything I want but within a 4-6hr window period lang and i jump rope for 10mins a day and some. What I did wrong was possibly the no rice thingy? I stopped consuming rice na but I overcompensate pa nga with all the sweets I'm eating. I still managed to lose 9kgs. Fad diets are a big no no!

    Very timely, im planning to lose weight again by exercising and diet. I’ve tried crash diet once. It was effective in terms of losing weight but I was hospitalized lol since then I gained weight so much :( Thanks for this! ❤️

      Totoo yan, mas malaki ang balik ng crash diet , pati rin yung pag nagstart ka ng exercise routine tapos hindi consistent (naexperience ko na to e ,nag gym ako noon ,may results pero nung natigil laki ng dumagdag 😅)

    Thank you Doc for sharing this!! Now I truly understand why I am losing weight and after a while just gaining it back. I followed these fad diets and napansin ko na once I stop I just gain it back and then I would do it again. Like you said the yoyo effect, and minsan kahit anong gawin ko, naglalaro nalang yung timbang ko betweek 57-60kgs. Inconsistent siya and whenever I stop I'm just gaining it back.

    True yan doc grbe ako kumain nang itlog.. halos every morning or kung feel ko gutom ako itlog kaagad knakain ko.pero hindi ako overweight. Tapos kumakain din ako ng gulay... Grabe ako kumain ng gulay kaso sa egg diko mabitawan.... Kaya ayun tumaas ang triglyceride ko. Kinuha ko na egg minsan lng ako kumain. Control ko na rin yung mga sweets at carbo. Oatmeal na din sa umaga wth fruits n veges. Lunch lng ako rice tapos b4 6 dinner na ako. Halos minsan2 nlng kumakain ng meat.... Bdw im 38y.o. ang hirap pala kala mo lng ganda na ng katawan mo hindi ka namn tumataba masyado. Yun pala pag age mo ng ganito jan na lumalabas mga sakit2. Tnx God naagapan.
