I used to have that problem until recently when I shifted my weight more to my heel and kept my torso straighter up- that put focus on glutes. By bending forward more with weight on ball of foot the quads kick in more. It’s taken me 2 years not to hate these and to have it ‘click’.
Same! Went higher on split squats than I thought I could and even lasted 2 rounds at the higher weight. Would never have done it without this squad motivating me. Congrats to you as well on going up!

The post workout talk is always amazing! When we first started doing split squats I was body weight. Last time we did them I could do 15 to 20lbs. Today I was able to do two rounds with 25lbs! ❤🎉

I felt like that yesterday. Lots going on in my personal life and it's my priority to get my workout done. No matter what. I know that I will have relief in the future and will be feeling much better! Happy Tuesday ❤
Same! I enjoy 30 - 40 seconds. Although I think we surprise ourselves that we CAN go longer, for me the form starts to fail sometimes in the longer work periods.

I crushed our workout! I made this work with my previous injuries. I have my follow-up appointment with my podiatrist this afternoon. I will carry the strength from this workout into that appointment.

I couldn’t get up this morning for the workout due to a really bad nights sleep. Just got done now and man am I sorry I didn’t do this first thing in the morning. Those split squats off the bench damn near killed me. Sweating like a pig and feeling so accomplished!

Wow. Just WOW. I love straight sets so I loved this workout. I did get frustrated at one part. The "superman" on the bench. I could do it with my lower half but my neck was so strained. I had to revert to Supermans on the floor. I just pushed extra hard at those. Thanks Sydney. You're killing the training in this series!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After doing 2 rounds of 25s for split squats on one leg, going back down to 15 seemed so easy, so I was thinking exactly what Sydney had said later in the workout: learning moment! So far surprising myself of my strength! I'm working on glute bridges on the bench instead of the floor so I didn't get to failure in that exercise, but I did on all the others! 🔥🍑💪
Sydney said push to muscle fatigue and that’s exactly what she’s getting from me….those split squats had me there! I also surprised myself holding a 20lb weight doing fire hydrants! GO ME!!
