TBRI® 101: A Self-Guided Course in Trust-Based Relationships is a series of self-paced, whiteboard-style video lessons. This course offers an informal, yet thorough approach to Trust-Based Relational Intervention®, an evidence-based intervention for children from hard places of abuse, neglect, and/or trauma. Over nearly eight hours of instruction, Dr. Karyn Purvis and Dr. David Cross guide the viewer through the principles and strategies of TBRI® and offer practical tips for implementation. Topics include Understanding Trauma, TBRI® Empowering, Connecting, and Correcting Principles, as well as real-life examples and testimonials from caregivers and professionals who use TBRI®.
Originally developed as the “TBRI® Online Caregiver Package,” this course served as an online learning option for a research study which measured the effectiveness of TBRI®. This course earned evidence-based practice status and is ranked Highly Relevant on the California Evidence-Based Clearinghouse For Child Welfare website. (link to www.cebc4cw.org...)
We are pleased to offer TBRI® 101 as a self-paced learning option for anyone who cares for children, whether they come from hard places or not.

What happened to lesson 2?
Hi there, this is just a preview of TBRI 101. The subsequent lessons are available when you purchase the course at icddigital.tcu.edu. Thank you!
Is there anyway that one could get it at the library or local community center?
How do these strategies work with a child with ADHD & Autism?
Hi there, we recently published a blog post about using TBRI with children who have autism: child.tcu.edu/tbri-and-asd/
The TBRI model is developmental and is a great fit!
I’ve been unable to find anyone who can help me with this. Anyone in CA?
