the fact that Emily is celebrating already having bread shows how much this show has broken her
Frank liked this comment
Poor ketchup lady 😂
I blame Frank
I was shocked seeing a swap without a home chef having to make bread 🤣
These show’s don’t break anyone they just show us who we were. Plus I’m nice from the start. Also I make some pretty good French toast.
Not only is Emily promoted to home cook, GUYS, SHE DIDN'T CALL ROSE!!!!
the growth
Emily has always been a home cook.
Rose has been retired from this series
@@chetanr7505 wait how do you know that?
@@mestrah9761 this is the 2nd episode in a row that they didn’t call rose
@@coquigirl0789 hmm I hope she’s not retired from this I like her I hope it’s just temporarily
Man it's so good to see the trend of pro chefs actually working with the ingredients they're given instead of making forty different substitutions or additions. Glad that era's past us
but she used way more eggs than given. lol
@@amberbennett2642but eggs were apart of the original ingredient list, other chefs are adding like fish sauce and sesame oils; stuff that isn’t even close to the original recipe
It's awesome Lish gave Emily high quality bread instead of yeast and flour. If it were Frank, Saul, or Bill, that's what she would've got.
Frank would've given her an acre and some seeds
Frank would ask Emily to go to lab and cultivate her own species of yeast
You can't make French toast with fresh bread...
Thats why they dried it in the oven
@@Bergen98 *build the lab
“What makes a blue egg? A sad chicken” hahaha Emily kills me
$2.50, apparently.
Lol. Americana chickens. Guy at the farmers market asked if I had a problem with blue eggs. I must have looked at him like he had six heads because he immediately began explaining it to me. Tasted just like any other egg.
Chef Lish is so encouraging! You can see how proud she was of Emily. Also, I love their talk over both dishes. Super kind and uplifting
True
That’s the most creative use of French toast I’ve ever seen and the most creative of all the episodes. Turning French toast into French toast soufflé was brilliant
How is it French toast?
Chef Lish is so cool. I love her vibe and positive attitude. Definitely one of my favorite guest chefs on the show. Alsoooo that souffle looked incredible
Her supportive attitude actually made me get a bit misty eyed. It's so inspiring to see professionals at the top of their game acting with such kindness and positivity. That said, Emily really did do a great job.
She's weird AF.
@@KosongIce ?
@@KosongIce what? How? This chef is wonderful
@@KosongIce agreed!
This is my favorite duo, Emily knows she wouldn't have gotten those fancy ingredients and slightly more advanced techniques herself, but she respects the pro's choices and appreciates and trusts the process more than she trusts herself 😂and Chef Lish doesn't see the cheap ingredients and say "I'd just get something better", instead she sees the potential in otherwise simple things and goes for "I'll make this one better" 🥰 It's lovely to see how she got so excited and proud that Emily did her recipe well and had fun!! Love the energy between them
One thing I like a lot about Lish is that she always explain what she's doing in simples terms altough is something fancy
Chef Lish totally won me over by the end of the ep. That souffle looked so good! It's nice to watch someone who really knows what they are about and put together something special.
Lish is awesome, one of the best examples I've ever seen of making a classy dish from ordinary ingredients.
I need to try that souffle method.
I love how Emily got promoted to a home cook
This is not her first swap episode but in the 4 Levels episodes, they still put her on Level 1
Home cook is not a promotion. She is still a “level one chef”.
The home cooks vs pro chefs series seems to be level 1&2 vs level 3, with level 4 - Rosemary on standby to help.
She definitely needs to be promoted though. Emily has Skills.
From your comment, this must be your first time here. Welcome.
@@PoppyCorn144 considering she has her own cooking channel I’d say she’s surpassed what they grade her as lol
Oooh Emily got promoted *and* she’s happy that she doesn’t have to make her own bread. Love this episode.
Not promoted. She's been doing this series for years. Always home cook in it.
@@defaultuser1447 she used to be amateur cook!
@@oheunice On 4 Levels, and she is there. There is no "amateur" on swap, only home cook and pro. She's been doing this series, as home cook, for two years. Understand?
@@defaultuser1447 oop i’ve been watching this series forever, idk how i never noticed that lol
Well, now she’s level 2. She came a long way, she got promoted a month ago.
You can tell when a chef really loves what they do, Lish is amazing!
I love the way Lish talks about food, her love for it really shines through
These two give me chaotic younger sister and calming older sister energy lol
The baking episodes are my favorite because the pro chefs always go above and beyond in terms of creativity, this one might be in my top 3 episodes along with the donuts and the cupcakes
I like how Lish took the home cook ingredients and made an even bougier version of French toast than she would have made with her pro chef ingredients 😂
Yall I'm so happy Lish is back, one of the best pro chefs
I love the genuine affection for the ingredients that chef Lish has. Lish and Emily is my new favorite video pairing. They are absolutely darling together!
Is this the first episode with Lish? I already love her and the way she explains what she’s doing
No it’s not. She was in Roast Chicken episode with Lorenzo
I believe she also did a chocolate chip cookie episode with Beth?
I think the egg and copper bowl thing is one of those times it would have been nice to have Rose chime in and explain what is going on. In fact I don't think I have seen her in this series for a little bit.
I think that is because the Level 3 here left instructions unlike some of the others like Frank who will just give a list of ingredients.
@@davidreddick3016 Nah, because at the end, Rose explains the science behind the recipes. We didn't get that here. :(
@@johrathbun no thats not this series that’s with the 3 different levels of chefs, home cook, level 2, and pro
Huh I knew something was missing this episode. Hopefully rose makes a return
I believe Adam Ragusea has a video that explains this.
I definitely hit the like button the moment Chef Lish announced she was going “balls to the wall.” She is an utter delight.
I could watch these 2 for hours.... they are both so happy and positive 💕 . This is the kind of video I watch on repeat after a bad day. Thank you for this. The world needs more happy these days and this video is a warm hug.
This show has gotten a lot better lately. The pro chefs don't cheat by adding their own ingredients any more. They've stopped dissing "common" ingredients. Lish has a great attitude and explained everything she did in a way that the average viewer could understand.
They were really only doing that over lockdown period where they weren't in the Epicurious kitchens. Now that they're back on the usual set, they can't cheat with their own ingredients like that anymore since they're not availabe.
Lish is an artist that makes poetry out of cooking and she exudes passion for her craft. Emily is your heartwarming comedy special and they both pair up fantastically to remind us that cooking is fun and cooking is love!
PS. Emily has deserved the home cook title for quite a while. She's awesome!
Lish is so extra, soufflé, copper bowl, genius omg
Lish should make Emily's French Toast and serve it with Ketchup.
When I saw the thumbnail, I started having nightmare flashbacks to the four levels of French Toast episode.
Did I miss any ketchup references in this video? I was waiting for them to make a joke about it
Emily’s excitement when there was ALREADY bread!!! 😅😅🍞
I love how Lish hugs the wonder bread 😂🍞 excited to see what's done with it
chef Lish is AWESOME! Chef Frank and Chef Saul are of course wonderful, but it's nice to have another great personality to watch
Lish has the most calming presence of any human being I've seen. You can feel it through the screen, just lovely.
I love Lish already! SHE'S A WIZARD!
This episode was awesome, I loved Lish and I love when the pro chefs use their skills to use the ingredients in unexpected ways! Lish was such a delight - please have her on more!!
Lish is awesome; I literally came here for them. Emily is also super awesome. 🍞
There’s three people? I only see Walmart Ellen Degeneres and Emily.
@@bobsaul4568 Walmart? She literally went there with $200+ French Toast. Put the meth pipe down, and leave the comedy to the professionals.
I laughed way too hard at Emily flambéing. Spilling some of the rum and her nervously exclaiming that she’s not terrified. ♥️
Edit: Lish really took $17 ingredients and made a soufflé!!! Omg I love her!!! 😂♥️
The absolute joy at "There's already bread!"
It's like watching Emily vs the grandmaster chef version of herself. Love it!
Yessssss. I had the same thought. They're so much alike.
@EmilyDuncan 's joy when she discovers she doesn't have to make her own bread is palpable!😂 There's already bread!🙌
Watching Lish enjoy the whole process was really good...she definitely loves her job
Emily: "I've made french toast before."
Me: *Flashbacks of surpressed memories*
Emily sounds like such a fun person to talk to
"Wonder bread? Ah, the possibilities"
Emily quoting Lucille Bluth made my day
I really love chef Lish's energy. Please bring her back🥺
Chef Lish is so cool and sweet. I loved her gentle but very knowledgeable energy. Please bring her again!
I think I may be in love with Lish. I have been in love with Emily for years now, this was a very good episode.
This was a perfect match for me
LIsh's eagerness to spruce up Emily's ingredients was such a pleasant shock.
Chef Lish is a great presenter. Well educated , explains extremely beautifully. Love her, bring her more often please .
Great seeing Lish again! Lish and Emily are a fun pairing!
A++ for Chef Lish's creativity!
Omg a Souffle. That's GENIUS 🤩 I actually wanna give this a shot now. It looks so good and so fun to make!
Love Lish!! Please bring her more often! That soufflé totally feels like something I could make!
I really love Lish's vibe. More of Lish.
All the pro chefs on this series are seriously OP!!! They are so creative 😍. I especially love how Lish has some serious mellow vibes going on! I definitely want to see more of her!!
I just tried the French toast and it is DELICIOUS. Where I live, we don't have "halve-halve" nor pain de mie (only if I travel to France), so I replaced it by casino bread and half double cream half full fat milk. It was delicious. Very lovely video, very lovely recipe. I am so glad to have found this channel
This is the first time I've seen Lish and I'm loving her energy
Emily telling the French Toast she's loves it ❤😂 @13:51
Emily's puns are so cutee and chef Lish is so uplifting
Chef Lish's French Toast Souffle not only looks incredible, but is the First thing from this series that I am Actually going to try next weekend when I have the time!!! I am just hoping that I can scale this up for 5 people! Oh and I Have to get ramekins!! Lol.

[Edit... so, first... it took me forever and ever to make... but there might have been some alcohol in slowing me down! Lol. I also have a roommate who is an Emily level home cook, just like myself.. it took us a while, and it didn't come out perfect, but it was still fun and amazing.. lol... just need to taste the alcohol less beforehand! Lol! . But will make again!]
The tasting part at the end is so real and wholesome ❤ they are so kind and complimentary of each other!
Emily is really my fave cook lol. She actually makes cooking look super fun. She got the promotion she deserves!
Lish and Emily have great chemistry!
I didn’t know what to expect coming here, but the skill vs humor makes this video very pleasant to watch.
I love both of them so much!! I'm so happy with this episode.
Emily funny as usual, but I love Lish, she's so chill, hope to see her more often
Home-cook is entertaining and funny. Pro chef omg the way she carries herself is just lovely.
Chef Lish's recipe descriptions are downright poetical. 😍
i look forward to a new video in this series so much. Emily is my fav
Lish: hugs a bag of wonder bread.
Me: I LOVE her already 🥺❤!!
I'm so delighted that chef Lish is back, but where is Rose guys? 😭 I miss the part where the home cooks call her
I think she quit.
@@l.tc.5032 that's sad. I loved her name because I thought it matched well.
I like this pro chef. She really went through with the technique with basi ingredients
"what makes a blue egg?"
a duck
"a sad chicken"
fair enough
I think I found my favourite pairing out of all of the chefs and *home cooks*!
This chef is not only very gifted but also very humble. Such a lovely person!
I want to be as exited every day as Emily being thrilled about already having bread 😂
i appreciate finally having a chef that actually wants to participate on the Swap & doesn't act like they got pranked... also she provided the bread, what a chad
Copmpote in CIS countries is a beverage as a juice, made from litre of water and cup of berries, boiled with sugar. It is a liquid and never a jam. For jam - it is almost no water and more sugar added.
I love how excited both of them were 🥰😻
LOVED Chef Lish!! Such Positive Energy.. and soooooo encouraging!!
I love Emily, I only come for videos with her working her way thru complex recipes
I love Chef Lish! She was so kind and encouraging and made excellent use of her ingredients!!!
Two of my favorite chefs on this show!! I'm so happy that Chef Lish is back, she's amazing!
French toast is my absolute favorite and both of these look sooooo good 🤤🤤🤤 I’m literally drooling
Love this duo the chef is so passionate
i don't know whether i want lish as my grandma or my wife bc HER VIBES?? IMMACULATE
Love Chef Lish!! We need more of her!
I love Lish! And Emily too, of course!
There better be ketchup this time, our Ketchup Queen!
(Nice Arrested Development line 👏)
We need more chef Lish in the next episodes to come. 👏❤️
I love Lish!! She was so kind and awesome, she didn’t diss anything that Emily provided and was so creative too. Would love to see more of her
"How much could a banana cost? 10 dollars?"
Hahaha!! Great reference! 🤣
... and in this day of inflation, yes. Yes it could.
I needed me some Emily cheer today!
Emily needs her own channel. I love her in every video
She has one actually! I'm subscribed in fact, but I can't remember her last name... Update! Her channel name is Emily Duncan :) link in the description
chef Lish and Emily are a wonderful team. i’ve never seen Chef Lish before. i adore her passion.
I had to come and give this one a look immediately!
I love everyone on this channel so much.
Love Lish! Glad to see them back!
And loved Emily's Arressted Development shoutout lol
watching this while eating french toast is the best feeling
