This is Videobob. I would like to clarify that I never worked for the band Pantera or Damageplan. I started working for Vinnie when he started his record label with Fontana / Universal in 2006.
Where as I did get some credits and awards for some video that was included on various tapes, the credit for the Pantera home videos and things goes to Darrel Arnburger AKA "Bobby Tongs" who was Dime's close friend and video guy. I am often confused with him. He's a great guy and deserves his credit.
I am proud of the work I got to do on Rebel Meets Rebel, Dimevision, the Dimebag Book, Hellyeah music videos and DVDs and other projects.
The only things I got to work with Dime on was the Drowning Pool tribute DVD "Sinema" when I interviewed him at his house.
I did get to attend parties with him, at his house and Vinnie's house, but I didn't get to know him closely before he was killed.
My personal relationship with was Vinnie.
Thank you for all the kind comments.

I dated Vincent Paul on and off the road for 8 years...up until a few months before the shooting. I was there while Pantera fell apart. I don't remember Video Bob being around during the years I was...i always thought he came around after Dime passed. Vin only drank Skyy vodka because he thought it was healthier than Crown which was his favorite. He had a pool in the shape of a crown bottle at his Dallas house, which is torn down now. I miss Vincent Paul...he was an amazing soul.

I talked to Vinnie 10 days before he passed at the local Arlington, TX Home Depot. Picture to prove, He was like talking to a friend or neighbor. He had a Van Halen logo necklace on that day. We talked about the early days of Pantera at Joe's Garage and Savvy's. He had that hilltop house (now gone) just a couple of miles from mine. He was so cool. @@aricmatney8776 hey, go ask Rita now.. its my understanding that she was incorrect, and has been proven wrong with pictures.. dont be such an idiot and jump on false claims. Her entire complaint is against what blabbermouth wrote, so you are white knighting nothing.. you jumped on something that you didn't know about, and now you look like a total idiot.. im convinced most of you lemming that are coming over here to copy her complaints didn't even see this video, and I personally believe Rita didn't either. I think someone told her false things that weren't in the video..

  • @RobertMoseley
    @RobertMoseley Год назад +16

I texted with Rita for hours after all this and I think we have everything worked out about some of the misunderstandings.
In the end, I simply agreed that in the future, I should always preface my comments by asserting that I did not work with Pantera and that I was not close with Dimebag Darrell, which I felt was already known, but she felt that I would leave a gap open for presumptions, which is why these news sites will associate me with them. My relationship was with Vinnie Paul and his projects from 2006 and beyond.
I did have some experiences with Dimebag going back to 1988 but we were never "friends" in the traditional sense but we did know each other, had each other's phone numbers and had worked on professional projects together and I had been to his home, but that doesn't mean I can speak for him or claim to know him. My assumptions of his opinions were based and formed by what his brother told me about him and what I had seen on his home videos, interviews and performances.
I am not a representative for Vinnie Paul's estate and nothing to do with him or any of the people who now represent him.
My relationship and responsibilities died with him.
In the future, I will refrain from doing any sort of "interview" but I can't help what other people say and do.
I feel like Rita and I left this on a positive or at least neutral note and we got it worked out.
The best thing to do is let the dust on it settle and not hassle her about it.
She has been through a lot of trauma over the years and doesn't need to be hassled.

Great video Jordan and Video Bob, I never got to see Pantera live, I did however see Damageplan open for Slayer. It was just a couple of months later that Dime was killed, my friend called me and told me the news, I couldn't believe it. It's weird, I never met the dude but between owning all their albums back then and the " Vulgar video " series, as a fan I feel like we would have got along right away, we were being a bit wild ourselves when we were young metalheads. lol They were fun guys, would have been cool to meet them. R.I.P. Vinnie & Dime.

I’m from Columbus Ohio and I’ve been to the club where the shooting happened. When that happened I hadn’t been there for a long time. It was a small club that didn’t hold a big crowd. The security there was poor and it’s just terribly sad that happened.
    Good vlog Jordan as always…

Sad way to lose someone. This world has some sick people in it. Also, sad that some people couldn't let them rest in peace either. They don't deserve to be locked away like they are. I'm truly sorry this happened to them. I hope they both rest in peace now. That restaurant sure it bright enough inside. Lol. Thanks for telling their stories. Stay safe and take care.

RIP Dimebag and Vinnie. I remember when I was stationed in Austin, TX with the Air Force, that there was this club called the Back Room. Lots of bands played there. One night, a buddy and I were there just hanging out, and the club was enlarging the stage for Pantera to play there at a future date. Thanks Mr. Jordan.

You're welcome! It's a bit controversial, because he's portraying Vinnie in a pretty bad light. But you have to read it with a proper distance, I guess.

Holy cow, you were right down the street from my mom's!!! Campo Verde has always been one of our families favorite spots. Next time I'm there I'll have to find Dimebag's home.

Dimebag and his brother Vinnie co-created some great musical work. I became a fan of them when I first heard Pantera years ago. It is very hard to get a band together and keep it together. Pantera was a rare masterpiece that I enjoy the recordings of to this day.

Apparently the original memorabilia that used to be in there is gone because the restaurant was sold recently but the new owner wants to get some Pantera or dimebag & Vinnie memorabilia to put back in there, and actually while we were eating video bob offered to donate something for them to display from his collection

The VH guitar being in there had me verbally saying, "Wow..." to myself as I watched this. Ed inspired me to build some guitars, and the one I made in high school in 1983 is still my main squeeze. We all dreamed of Les Pauls, Stratocasters, Charvels, and Marshalls when we were teens with paper route money. Now that I've had all of that, I could'nt give two s**ts. I always go back to that guitar. It's signed by Mike Stern (just love that guy, listen to the Upside Downside album). The second one I put together was signed by the late, great, Allan Holdsworth when I saw him in Northampton, Massachusetts in 2014...the poor guy passes in 2017, boy am I glad I got that signature.
