Can I ask you which 6.2 is this I have the same oil pan as you trying to sell it and trying to find out which it is it has the plate on the bottom just like the one u showed
Hey I had a question I know this is a old video but i was wondering if you would loose oil pressure leaving the 2 holes open for the timing chain tensioner that goes in the middle of both sides of chain? If so, that I can add the tensioner for it
So maybe you guys will have my answer I’m building a ls3(l9h 6.2) I mistakenly ordered a flat tappet cam and ls7 lifters will they work together. I’m new to all this and am stressing to find an answer
The LS7 cranks have a longer snout (1”) for the two-stage dry sump, also the LS7 has a 4.125 bore size. So yes you can put the LS7 crank and rods in a LS3 block if you plan on running a dry-sump and getting pistons.
Possible, But much less expensive to trade V6 for Camero V8 if you hope to pass emissions and street drive your racer. If Competition only , sky's the limit. Just have to comply with safety regs of class u race in.
Lol the chain tensioner is not what keeps your time accurate… it’s the timing chain hence the NAME of it. it rides on the cogs and doesn’t skip teeth. The tensioner just keeps the chain is place and the timing doesn’t change under rpm.
Nah, I’m just responding to what he said in the video. He said the chain tensioner keeps the timing accurate at high RPM. Which is false. These cars don’t lose timing unless the chain snaps or come off the cog. There is no shift or inaccuracies in the timing once it’s set u less you have a catastrophic failure.
big cam Upgraded rocker arms and pushrods Valve springs Ported heads bigger intake/ throttle body bigger injectors long-tube headers Stroker internals (pistons, rods, crank) and a good tune. You’ll be at 650. Oh and don’t forget ARP studs and bolts EVERYWHERE that’s important. Or you slap a baby turbo on a stock engine and get the same power and do it safely.
Do a little more homework... As explained in previous videos this is a L-94 Cadillac all aluminum 6.2. Yes the Cadillac’s come with VVT and Display on demand. The only difference between a crate LS3 engine and a L-94 is the L-94 comes with Display on demand and VVT. Also the cast iron block truck engines are 6.0 liters. But who am I to say...🤷♂️
ZHP Garage almost all cars at the track must be slow with double row timming chain ! if you want help the valve train rotation mass put titanium retainers and keepers. Lol good job!
Great video guys!
Great video!
Thank oh guys
Great info

It’s a L94 engine out of a 2011 Cadillac Escalade ESV.
@@ZHPGarage hey thanks bud
No timing chain damper or tensioner needed?
There’s no need for tensioner or dampers with aftermarket chains
@@ZHPGarage Good to know. Thanks!

No! You can’t put roller lifters on a flat tappet cam. But yes LS7 lifters will work in your LS3. Would recommend to use LS2 lifter Guide.
Send flat tappet cam bak and buy correct one frm same vendor.
Could I put LS7 internals in a LS3?

I think a stick of dynamite would work
I'm new to the channel & just love how you prep the short block,,, Is there a number I can reach you at
Either of our social medias works
Just a chick wanting to engine swap my v6 2010 Camaro. I’m gonna learn everything I can about a engines. One video at a time 😈
You can totally do it!!

Holly terminator x wiring harness,
Grab a ls
And then your transmission auto (4l80e) or manual (t56, tr6060)

I’m not sure if you’re making a statement or asking a question? But the video talks about it.

How come you guys don't degree the camshaft?
can i get an LS3 to 650 hp without worrying about reliability?
You can
big cam
Upgraded rocker arms and pushrods
Valve springs
Ported heads
bigger intake/ throttle body
bigger injectors
long-tube headers
Stroker internals (pistons, rods, crank) and a good tune. You’ll be at 650.

4x , 4 pole cam sprocket, you’re welcome.
This isn’t a ls3 it’s the truck 6.2 l99 ls3 dosent have vvt also has more compression.

so no ones going to say anything about him using RED locktight?!
Well, the engine is still running so, I’ll let you know when it explodes.
And then we took this bolt off, then we took this bolt off, then.......we removed this bolt
Yes we did
Double roller timing set adds useless rotational weight and clearance issues. Stay single my friends.
I would love to race my double roller timing set that adds useless rotational weight and clearance issues against your car. But true.
ZHP Garage Just think, your car could be faster with a single roller...Nah, your car isn’t fast to begin with. Stay home.
😂👍

or go gear drive i have one in my vy ss crewman
Eyes mad far apart. LETS YOU SEE BOTH SIDES OF THE ENGINE
