He explains how cirrhosis - often a condition without any symptoms - is diagnosed and recommends that those born between 1946 and 1964 to have their blood tested for the hepatitis C virus. Generally not reversible, Dr. Mubarak explains how diet and treatment can help to slow the progression of cirrhosis and offers recommendations for avoiding the disease.
